Today I decided to try Bar Louie on Liberia Ave. I placed my order at 1:35PM for a chicken sandwich and it took until 2:10PM for it to be delivered to my table. When it arrived the fries were cold and the sandwich was luke warm at best. The breading on the chicken looked over cooked and lacked flavor. The fries were not seasoned with salt or pepper. The restaurant was extremely cold inside and it was hard to sit still without shivering. The restaurant wasn’t that busy at the time of my visit but it seemed as though the bartender was the only one working. I should have just gone across the street to Wendy’s for a fried chicken sandwich. I will probably not return to a bar Louie for food any time soon.

My friend and I came in this past Sunday Morning! We had a great time! It was a little busier than we expected for a sunday, but that didn’t ruin our time. Our server, Maria, recommended the clover for me and the pineapple express for my friend. We both loved our drink. She was really friendly and checked on us frequently. She seemed to know a lot about the food, because when we asked her for food recommendations and what she recommended was absolutely devine! When we ordered out second round of drinks, she asked if she could make us something special based of off what we usually drink and boy did she deliver. When I asked her if I could speak to the manager and tell him or her how great she was, it was surprising to me that she was actually the manager herself but she was just helping out the two servers. Come to think of it she did stop and talk to every single table. It amazes me how hands on managers are! She is the reason we will be coming back and I will be telling my friends about you guys! KEEPHER! She was great!

My girlfriend and I went for lunch at 2:00 on a Sunday. I don’t know if they were understaffed but we got really poor service. We got our appetizer in a reasonable amount of time but then had to wait approximately 35 minutes after finishing the calamari for our meal. I ordered the sesame tuna sandwich which came out cold and my gf’s chicken quesadilla was a bland and greasy disaster. This place is horrible and I will just stick to Glory Days across the street.

Love going to bar Louie to sit outside and have a few drinks. My husband and I visit this location at least once a week. After my visit on Friday night I will not be back. I ordered a strawberry lemonade sangria and the strawberry that was on top had mold, it was discussing.

We went to Bar Louie in Manassas on a Friday around 730 to 8 in the evening. When we walked in, it was very crowded and we took one of the last tables. I’m 28 and felt very young in the crowd that were there. I felt like I was in a pool of middle aged– retired people. It was probably the time we went– regardless–(and I’m not exaggerating when I say this) we were the youngest patrons in there! Just not my atmosphere. Also– they don’t dim the lights for evening times. I felt like it was daytime inside. Not very accommodating to drinking at a bar. Regardless of the atmosphere presented(which could’ve been completely circumstantial), the food and service were bad. We waited a good 15 minutes before being welcomed then another 30 to get drinks. The waitress was then rude to our table when we asked for napkins. She made it seem like we were inconveniencing her. The food tasted old like it was under heat lamps and was really greasy. We couldn’t even finish our food it was so gross. The presentation of the food was nice, though and looked delicious. Disappointed and won’t be back.

I give this place a one because it’s a cool idea, but the service was not very good. The food took a very long to come out, and the waitress went MIA numerous times. The food wasn’t that great either. We asked the waitress to change the channel for us, and that was too much of a struggle for her. I don’t recommend this place for anyone unless your coming during happy hour. Drinks are really expensive otherwise.

First of all this Bar Louie’s is close to my home but I rather go to the one in Gainesville, but I keep given this one another chance and it keeps letting me down. How can you have 2 bar trainees on the same night with no supervision. With service like this it will not last long just look at the places that close daily. It be nice to have great places to go in Manassas but I don’t think it will happen. I don’t blame the bartenders — they need to learn. I blame the manager which we have not seen so maybe the DM should be trying to get the store In order and not just collect a paycheck. I have been here 4 times and every time it sucks so I guess the was my last time… Good luck

Since the newness has worn off this place’s service has dropped off. Only a couple of the original staff is there and they are still friendly but the new staff members I’ve dealt with are very slow with the service. The bar staff is still fairly quick with their service and the drinks are hit and miss depending on who is making them.

No one in our party liked the food. Hubby had soft chicken tacos: even the taco shells were bland(absolutely NO flavor). Small dish with some rice and beans and another dish with shredded chicken. I ordered the shrimp tempura which is NOT tempura-style at all. It’s overly-doughy popcorn shrimp… another diner had voodoo chicken that they couldn’t even eat — sent it back. Even the pretzel appetizers we ordered were bland. Bottom line: if you screw up pretzels and soft taco shells you have a problem. We won’t be back.

Junk junk junk Sit yourself? Waited for 45 minutes for a guy at the bar to steal a 5top table to himself. Disorganized, waited 10 minutes for a server to get to our table. 15 minutes for a beer, 30 minutes for a burger. Didn’t see my server once, don’t know her name and only seen her for paying the tab. What a joke. New place and it already blows. Get your place together.

Good food, great service! Happy Hour prices are good, maybe add a few more items to include. We’ve visited several times and have always had good food, no complaints here.

I’m really trying to dig in and find a reason to give this place another star, but I’m really at a loss. Stopped in for their $ 5 burger night on Tuesday. I thought, Wow! What a great deal. The place was obviously crowded, but when you are going to do something as bold as $ 5 burger night, it’s to be expected. There was no hostess, so it was seat yourself. Which is fine, we found a table for the 3 of us and sat down. The service was extraordinarily slow, drink orders were not taken for at least 10 minutes, and then it took another ten minutes to deliver 3 beers. I noticed the waiter was lallygagging at a lot of tables and not hustling. I understand wanting to deliver a level of service that is personal, but on $ 5 burger night this should be a gold mine. Seat em, feed em, and street em. Not the case at all. I ordered the Louie Fried, which is basically a bacon cheeseburger with a sunny side up egg on top. There was no done-ness selection, and the burger came out essentially well done. This patty was on of those pre-shaped frozen jobs without much flavor. The bacon was cooked very well and the egg was actually almost perfect. I guess for $ 5 I shouldn’t expect much, but regularly this burger is upwards of $ 10, which is ridiculous. I also had the loaded tots which were quite good. Probably the best part of the meal. Maybe it’s because the staff is new and they haven’t found their groove yet, but unless something changes I can’t imagine this place lasting. I haven’t been to any other Bar Louie’s but this one is in dire need of strong manager. The wait staff didn’t hustle on what I’m guessing is one of their busiest nights, tables were left un-bussed(a 8 person table wasn’t cleared the entire time I was there), even for $ 5 the burger was nothing better than what you’d get at McDonald’s or BK. All in all this was a disappointing experience. Would not recommend.

In a town with nothing to do, Bar Louie opened it’s pearly gates in Manassas like an oasis in the middle of the desert. So I did what any normal father would do, and I took my 3 year-old daughter here. We ate, we drank and we were merry. The two-star deduction was due to the waitress not writing down my order, then forgetting my order. I ordered boneless BBQ wings, she brought out Buffalo. I wasn’t in the mood for Buffalo, so I asked her to correct it. She came out with the same buffalo boneless wings, with BBQ poured on it. Genuine LOL R U SRS moment. So I just ate it because I was hungry and my daughter was getting antsy.

I’ve visited Bar Louie a few times, and I’m glad they now have a location in Manassas, which is closer for me than the Gainesville location. They have a great Happy Hour with discounted martinis and wine, along with half price appetizers. This is really your best bet. A martini that costs $ 5.25 during Happy Hour goes up to $ 9 after 7 pm. I had a delicious flatbread that I would definitely order again for the price. The first time we went, we were only there for Happy Hour and we were really pleased with the selection, the prices and our order. The second time we decided to have dinner, but we weren’t quite so lucky. Our waiter had a deer in the headlights look about him the whole time. He forgot a few simple things we asked for, like… water and… napkins. The server who brought the food out didn’t ask if we needed anything, even essentials like ketchup for my fries. My husband ordered chicken and broccoli, and believe it or not, they somehow managed to mess that up. There was a thick cream sauce on the chicken that made him feel sick later on, and the broccoli wasn’t even edible since it looked yellow and wilted. Major disappointment. Bottom line… this is a bar, not a restaurant. Stick to the drinks, which are pretty good, the large selection of beers, and a few of the«bar foods» and you’ll be okay. Go somewhere else for dinner.

For Manassas, Bar Louie is overpriced. One might think that with stratospheric prices, out of this world service should follow, but the opposite has evidenced itself. The service has been inattentive. Whilst sitting at the bar, it is incognoscible to understand how it it is possible to wait ten minutes for a drink, whilst there are four employees behind the bar, and fewer than 30 patrons. This is especially offensive if the bartender demands a card swipe for a tab.

I don’t like giving bad reviews, but had I posted this last week my neighbor would have read it and could have been spared their experience. Ours wasn’t as bad as hers. For a place which just opened, it’s amazing how filthy things were. The menu had bits of food on it, the sugar caddy was greasy, and the silverware needed to be cleaned again. Our server and I have the same style bra but the clasp in the back is a little different. Asked me how I know this… I am not an insecure person, I just don’t want to see your undergarments. A see-thru sheer shirt is not appropriate for this type of restaurant, especially for lunch. The food gets 3 stars because it was not very good but didn’t suck completely. However, I ordered a take-out entrée for my daughter(«Baked Mac and Cheese») and whoever packed it was a dumbass. Would you put soup in a Styrofoam clamshell take out container? The consistency of the Mac and cheese was runny, runny out of the container, runny through the bag, runny all over the back of my car. We plan on trying them one more time just to see if it was an off day/week. I will amend this embarrassing review afterwards.

We were a party of four that decided to check out this new location tonight to get some food and drinks. It was pretty busy, the general crowd looked like they were in their late 20s to early 30s. Service was really slow tonight… it took about 10 minutes for someone to get our order, another 10 for our drinks to get out, and over an hour for food. We only had two orders of wings and one order of calamari. For it to take over an hour is unacceptable no matter how busy it may get. When our food finally came out, the wings themselves looked and tasted fine, but the carrots were really dry as if they were really old… even getting our tab took too long. Overall, I would not recommend this location. It’s simply not worth it. I got excuse after excuse… I won’t be back.

Good place to go for happy hour. Great drink deals. The service has been OK. The food flat out sucks… it’s embarrassing how much they charge for such terrible food.
