I went in with my sister and daughter to have a late pancake meal. It was around 11pm. Our waitress started off nice enough but went downhill quickly. Mary, was her name. We placed our order and were very eager for our meal. Once the food arrived everyone’s order was wrong. This is when Mary turned surly. When we told her that our order was wrong, she snapped at us. She reluctantly fixed it and made the excuse that the cook was not used to working the evening shift. What this had to do with anything is beyond me. We all ordered pancakes!!! When it was time for the check, Mary brought it over. Something looked wrong. I grabbed a menu and sure enough, Mary had added a dollar to just about every item we had ordered. When I inquired as to the discrepancy, she stated that that was the charge for late night. No where is it stated that there is a late night surcharge, and if that truly was the case, there should be a late night menu with the correct prices. I asked Mary to show me where that’s mentioned and she couldn’t. She obviously was trying to scam us. She did fix the check but I would caution everyone to check the tab. This is apparently a usual scam for her.

Called to place a take out order. I was placed on hold by a lady with a heavy Spanish accent for 10 minutes. No one ever came back on the phone to take my order. Enough time to drive over and order in person. Told the lady up front I was on hold for 10 minutes. Not a care in the world. Not even a «I’m sorry sir».

Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Her name wa Peggy I believe. I ordered the pumpkin pancakes and they were delicious!!! My son ordered the kids silver 5 and the eggs were very over done, which was odd bc my husband’s were the same type and his were a little runny. All in all we had a good visit. It was awfully warm in the back of the restaurant but not uncomfortable. We really like this place and most importantly our children like it.

Management IHOP has tight corporate controls to make sure that all the food is prepared according to their specifications. The corporate inspection is much tougher than the city health inspection. The food at most IHOPs is probably pretty consistent nationwide which is mediocre at best. The difference is going to be management. And the customer service at this place tanks. Before I even got to the door the music was playing extremely loud. I mean it was very loud to the extent that you couldn’t have a conversation. I figured that was just right at the entrance, that in the seating area it would be a little more subtle. But I thought wrong. While the hostess was leading us to our booth, we asked if the music could be turned down a tad. She said she would pass the recommendation along to the manager. The music didn’t get turned down so we asked our server. The explained that the music is loud so that it can be heard when it’s crowded when the din picks up but that she would mention our concerns to the manager. The place was nearly empty. But that annoying music kept playing, and it was wimpy music. One of the songs was by an 80s band called«Air Supply». Another song I recognized was Barbara Streisand. At most decent places, if a manager hears a complaint that he can’t or won’t accommodate, they come out and meet the complainant, apologize and explain the situation. And the food was just«ok». Maybe that’s overstating it. There is a restaurant down the street Yorkshire Restaurant. It’s a bit divey and unattractive, but the food is outstanding and the service is great.

My wife and I have always had a good experience at this restaurant, until today. The bacon and hash browns were burned. The bacon slices were a lot smaller than they have been, and were thin enough to see through. The hot chocolate came in a much smaller cup than previously, and the waitress had a very heavy accent. The syrup was very runny, like it had been diluted with water. We tried all the syrups and they were all runny. A pancake house shouldn’t have runny syrup. The quality is just not there any more.

Quick service! Told the waitress, after we ordered our food, that we were in a hurry this morning. She said she understood and brought us our check so we could just eat and go when we were done so we didn’t have to wait. Food was excellent and our waitress was amazing. Loved it there and we will definitely be back.

This was where my friends and I used to have brunch. The place is always packed and service is slow once you finally get a table. The bathrooms are always gross. The only reason I’m giving two stars is that it’s hard to mess up pancakes and French toast. I might eat here again if there is a city wide pancakes shortage.

It’s very rare I’ve ever wanted to walk out of a restaurant. This IHOP was one of them. We arrived around midnight(it’s a 24 hour IHOP) to celebrate my wife’s birthday(smiley face pancake!) only to see about 20 people waiting in the lobby area. The restaurant itself was mostly empty despite the large wait. Okay, maybe they’re understaffed. That happens. Two servers came by and told us it would be about«10 to 20 minutes». Another employee comes in shortly after and starts yelling that there’s people waiting and the restaurant is has tons of space. One staffer says 10 – 20 minutes, the other says immediate seating. Oi. We get seated at a dirty table with menus that were caked with food, finger prints and were otherwise just… sticky. The menus had about a 1⁄3rd of the items of our regular IHOP(Ashburn) has which was disappointing as well. The food was okay, but our plates had inordinate amounts of hair on them. This is not something we noticed until half way through eating. Hair. Everywhere. At point I was given a refill of Mountain Dew, and there was a fly literally frozen into the cube. Our waitress laughed it off, joking she should charge us MORE for the fly since we got something we didn’t order. No apology, no «Oh, that’s nasty. I’m so sorry!». She played it off as if it happened all the time, and THAT concerned me. If there’s a fly frozen in the ice what else could be in there? What else did I potentially eat? In short: this place is dirty, disgusting and I would not go back. I love the IHOP in Ashburn, but this one not so much.

I called in to I hop and placed my order to go at I hop. I was told it will take 15 minutes which is no problem. I get there about 25 minutes. The place was slow since it Saturday night about 230 in the morning. It took me 20 minutes to get my food which it was sitting in the kitchen ready to go. You had a female wattress just wrapping silverware up no can I help you nothing. Finally the waiter comes out and I give him payment for my food. Which they don’t have change in the registered for a dollar since he owes me 85 cents back. Which I waited another 10 minute. Where is the management of this place

I love the 4 page breakfast menu… all those combinations. I just tell my server, I want two eggs over easy, two strips of bacon, grits and whole wheat toast… boom! Call it the Jon L combo! No surprises here, it’s about what you expect. It’s funny that on Halloween the staff dresses up!

The service was really slow. We asked the waitress whu customers that came after us were served before us, she began to lie about staffing issues in the kitchen. The restaurant was not very busy at the time of my visit. It was very disorganized and chaotic.

OMG! This place needs help! Came here twice all with bad experience. Today decide to order to go, stood in front of register for 10 mins and watched server and manger like person pass in front of 100 times. No one even bother to ask me if I have been helped, sorry correction, they don’t even look at me like I am invisible air. Shitty place will never return. Cheep food doesn’t meant bad service. Should go to Tom’s restaurant the next time. :(

Wow I never had such a horrible experience at an I hop! Whoever is running the place was either absent today or just absent minded nobody greeted us, only a «name please» no thank you no goodmorning? If your in a bad mood don’t work at the front counter. then we got seated by another person who didn’t open his mouth and just placed the menus on the table… wtf? I was in a great mood until I walked in. the food was fine but the cooks have nothing to do with the floor and hosts. ANYWAY the ONLY reason this post has 3 stars and the reason I didn’t leave was because we had a truly amazing waiter, thank you Andrea I must say today you were the only person alive.

Whenever we order takeout, they ALWAYS forget to include something. Today, it was an order of pancakes. And what are we supposed to do — drive all the way back for pancakes? Not to mention, their food is not that good, just convenient. From now on, we are driving the extra distance to go to Denny’s.

Extremely disappointed that our ihop now carries pecans and after speaking to the manager, they have no safety protocol in line for handling them in the kitchen, which scares the hell out of me. And that any surface could be touched by these nuts. Since our 2 yr old is anphylactic to tree nuts, my husband and I did not think it was going to be safe to eat there, so we left. This saddens me greatly because I love ihop, so much so that my daughter was almost born there!

Visited this IHOP for a late breakfast this Saturday — basically breakfast at noon! First time here for me — the place had a pretty good lunch time crowd going on — with a lot of folks who had the same idea — breakfast for lunch! I was seated quickly — my server — Pablo immediately visited me to take my drink order — water and coffee for me! Drinks came right out — I was ready to order as soon as I walked in — I’ve been lusting for more of IHOP’s whole grain and nut pancakes with Blueberry compote topping. Added a side of hash browns — and some meat — a side of corned beef hash. Food came out fairly quickly — the pancakes smelled heavenly! I asked Pablo for some ketchup and hot sauce and he had the condiments there immediately — I could barely blink before he had them on the table! I added some Maple syrup — the combination of the Maple syrup and the Blueberry compote was kick ass! For the rest of the food, a smidgen of salt on the hash browns, and a bit of ketchup, for the corned beef hash, black pepper, hot sauce, and ketchup. The hash browns were just okay — they needed to be a tad crispier. The corned beef hash was your standard hash — though tasty! Service was outstanding! While I was there — the wait staff came out as a group to sing their own IHOP version of «Happy Birthday» two different times — for two little kids celebrating their birthday. I noticed the wait staff in general seemed to be really efficient and with it.
