LongHorn Steakhouse

Local chef in the area and I usually refuse to write a Unilocal review. My experience at longhorn was sooooo bad. I don’t like to go to chain-​type places like this but my girlfriend had a coupon there and wanted to go after shopping at Buckland Hills.
Sat at the bar… made the error of sitting next to the register at the corner close to where the barmaiden’s only other customer/​good friend was sitting. My girlfriend and I sat and listened to them complain about work and the party from the night before where one of them had put their head through a door due to some «whiskey courage». The plates from our bread and appetizer piled up literally inches from the bartender as we listened to this infantile nonsense, but atleast they had a fun night.
Caesar salad was an insult to Caesar salads, not that I expected much. I award the one star for my steak being cooked close to med rare, but the menu advertised bernaise, and the steak arrived with some A1 sauce.
So, service was horrible, the bartender should be embarrassed at how she presented herself and the food was not much better.

Fantastic waitress/​bartender. Margarita was perfect balance-​not sour not sweet. Seven pepper steak salad cooked to a perfect medium rare as requested. The bleu cheese was really pungent; next time will get something other than bleu cheese dressing to calm it down a bit. Love their bread. About half way through my meal the ambient music was turned up which I found really bothersome.

There was no wait to get in and the server was very nice however the food was cold and 2 people in my party ordered the same meal and they went home with food poisoning. The food was not the same quality as I had tasted in the past and the restaurant appeared very dirty and unkept.

My fiancé and I came here with a gift card we had never been here before and we couldn’t know what to expect. we ended up ordering the porterhouse for two and we were not disappointed the steak was huge perfectly cooked seasoned beautifully and served with their homemade barbecue sauce we also got two sides and two salads the meal was delicious

I tell you this place is very solid when it comes to the food and drink. Probably more of a 3 in my book (because it is so consistent), but I bumped it up to a 4 with the great service (which goes a long way in my book).
I started with the salad which is absolutely huge. This is definitely something you can share if you’re there with your significant other. I went with the T-Bone…it’s not a thick cut that you would get at a classic steakhouse, but the flavor is very solid and the price is right.
LongHorn Steakhouse is one of those places I tend to forget about when I’m around the Buckland Mall area. There are just so many restaurants. However, LongHorn is a very solid place with a great sized bar and super folks. I will definitely be back…

First this was my first experience in a Longhorn restaurant and I was not disappointed. Good service. I came here with family a couple of days ago. I started with the crab cake and boneless wing appetizers (too small to be for sharing we ordered these twice, they’re really good) with a pineapple coconut margarita. The appetizers were absolutely delicious however the drink was just pretty okay could’ve been stronger to combat the fact that it’s literally made with water (coconut water is still water lol) but my entrée, the lamb chops were amazing! Cooked medium and just wonderful. I had the sweet potato and mash with an extra asparagus side and everything was really good! If ever in CT again I wouldn’t mind going back

Food is awesome as always. Had great filet and salad however my margarita had no tequila in it and my server was horrible. Perhaps too busy to multi task but nonetheless she was preoccupied. She handed me the wrong drink, the wrong plate, forgot bread and handed me not my husband the bill! She should be glad he was paying, cuz her tip woulda been the bare minimum. Doria get it together or change professions!

My wife and I went there today at 5p and ate at the bar… the two female bar tenders were great they had personality, great service, but having fun at it. the food we got was above excellent. Reasonably priced great portions. I would with out doubt come back again.

We visited the Enfield location and had a really bad experience so they sent us a $ 25 gift card, which we used this weekend. I have to say, this experience? Much better! The call ahead seating worked and we were seated within ten minutes (we called 50 minutes ahead). When we were seated, they put us right by the front door (and we had a cold snap in New England so the weather was –9 degrees out) and we asked to be moved to a table further away and they did it without any fuss or attitude which we appreciated. For dinner we had the spicy chicken rolls as an ap, which was great! For dinner my daughter and I split a 10 oz Flo’s Filet steak which was wonderful and my boyfriend had a Rib Eye, which he enjoyed. The service was also great, never a low water glass and checking in every few minutes to see if we needed anything. I think overall this is a good restaurant, I would just avoid the Enfield location and go to this one in Manchester! Great job!

Wow. What a great meal. I had the steak frites. Awesome. Even the west coast ipa was terrific and only $ 5.50. Total for two of us is $ 35 and I am stuffed (in a good way)

Huge peach sangria, jalapeño sirloin was ok, Mac & cheese was amazing! Server was polite & very helpful. A very pleasant experience.

Again, this chain restaurant has not let me down. The service was excellent with great recommendations. The steak was tender with great flavors. Their new creamed spinach with a Parmesan crust was to die for! I will not hesitate to come back for more!

LOVE Longhorn Steakhouse! Ordered the Parmesan Crusted Chicken (cooked perfectly!) with mashed potatoes and chopped salad. Everything was delicious and brought to our table in a timely manner. I would eat two loaves of their bread if I could! Our waitresses was very nice and responsive :)

This chain has close to 400 restaurants in 35 states, but somehow I never set foot into one of them until Saturday, when we stopped in for lunch at their Manchester location.
As you might expect, it’s Western themed with all sorts of cowboy and horse paraphernelia everywhere.
Service was great –the two people we came into contact with were the cheerful hostess and our very charming server, Stavros.
We started off by splitting a «Wild West Shrimp» appetizer ($ 9.99), we each had a cup of Shrimp-​Lobster Chowder ($ 3.99), and an entrée apiece.
The shrimp appetizer was pretty good — a big platter of fried shrimp served with sliced hot peppers and a ranch dippping sauce. But as were had just started eating the shrimp, the chowders came out and that was definitely a misstep — no way these dishes should have been stack-​served to us.
To make things worse, the chowder wasn’t very good, other than being served very hot. Maybe if you had a microscope and a pair of tweezers, you’d be able to find a few slivers of shellfish — we sure didn’t find any.
Our entrees were very good– I had a Bleu Ridge Sirloin Salad ($ 12.49) — a terrific dish of steak slices over a terrific salad of fresh Romaine, blue cheese, onion and diced tomatoes. I liked the salad a lot, there was a good portion of well cooked steak, and it was a good value at $ 12.49.
My wife’s Steak and Burger Cheddar Melt ($ 10.99) was a pretty good sized sandwich served with a curiously chintzy amount of French fries. Check out the photo and decide for yourself.
We had a few bucks left over on our gift card, so we ordered two desserts at $ 3.49 each. The Peanut Butter Cheesecake was pretty good, but the Banana Cream Pie was flat out fantastic1
For about $ 50 we had a very enjoyable lunch, in spite of the few issues I mentioned. One very cool thing I noticed, is that when the check arrived, it was broken down into subtotals for «Guest No. 1» and «Guest No. 2».

We definitely had an «A-​OK» experience, so three stars seems right on the money.

I’ve been to this location a few times and never had anything but good experiences with the service, although the food is what I’d call average they do at times exceed my expectations. This particular visit was one of those times, it was approximately 7:30 PM when we arrived on a recent Thursday evening the restaurant was about half filled so we were able to get a table without a wait. Our server promptly took our drink orders and made us aware of the specials, once we placed our orders it was a very short wait before our salads arrived. The dinner size wedge salad was portioned perfectly and served ice cold, all the ingredients appeared fresh and were flavorful.
The prime rib arrived cooked exactly as ordered «medium rare» sitting in a rich au jus along with steam asparagus. The 12 oz prime rib was lean and tender and had very good flavor, the asparagus was a little fibrous towards the bottom of the stalks but were still a good choice. Overall a very good experience, fair pricing and exceptional service.

We came here on a week night. This is your a standard Longhorn Steakhouse. You don’t have to wait for as long as you would at Texas (nearby). I had the ribeye a salad and a baked potato. Prompt service.
Update: my partner’s fish dish tasted kind of funky on our second visit. The service-​staff alerted the manager, who offered her a different dish. I was impressed with the way they handled everything.

I had dinner with my mom and this dish was superb cooked perfectly med for great taste.

4 star customer service the best, today I decided to try there new grilled lamb chops, sadly I was very disappointed in the taste and the presentation, not only I asked for med-​well my order came out Rare …

Order the parmesan crusted chicken. You WON’T be sorry.
Food is excellent and the restaurant is very clean.

The meat here is perfect! It’s fresh AND juicy !
I got chicken tenders last time & this time I got the bacon cheddar burger with blue cheese crumbles! Mmm
