This place is not good at all. I went one night and ordered a cheese burger and it was raw in the middle.

After coming here just about every weekend for a year now, this visit will be my last time. The restaurant didn’t even have all of its booths filled and other than that had a 6 person party. The table next to us got their food before us and they came in over ten mins after us. Their entire order was wrong. We were waiting and waiting and our waitress finally says oh sorry about your clam chowder, do you still want it? We said yes thinking she was gonna take it off the bill considering we waited about 20 mins. Our food came and my order was wrong. It came back barely right then our soup came. Even a simple request for ranch was unfilled, they sent out bleu cheese. No apologies no nothing, but the table next to us got 20% off their bill. Is there even a manager? These simple mistakes shouldn’t happen and the kitchen needs some serious help if they can’t even read a ticket.

This place is SO yummy, they have a large array of wraps, they just need to add a beer cooler and this would be even more amazing!

Had a waiter on his first day and received some of the best service I’ve ever had. The kitchen took a while with the food but we were still taken care of while waiting and the food was worth it. Walked home and we all napped off our food babies! Great food for a decent price

This is my go-to weekend breakfast spot. Kim, the floor manager, is my hero. When she’s not there(rarely), there’s something missing beyond her fantastic service and no-nonsense demeanor. The waitstaff works hard, but can sometimes be a tad distracted, which is kind of cute. The breakfast fare prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes, and their bottomless cup of coffee has helped get me into gear many a morning/afternoon. Best deal: The Alexandra — $ 8 Two slices french toast or pancakes, two eggs, two slices of bacon, and two sausage links, with beans or home fries. The Alexandra ALWAYS satisfies, so I have yet to tackle this beast: The Aidan — $ 9 Alexandra’s hungry brother: three of everything, with beans or home fries. ***They always have great 60s &70s music playing(sans awful commercial interruptions) that adds to the pleasant vibe.

A great place with very friendly staff! I tried the Cali Benedict, and it was delicious! Poached eggs were cooked perfect! Will definately return if I am back in Manchester!

Don’t know why this is rated at only 3 stars. I’m from out of state, but have been here three times. Every time, the food and service has been excellent. The wings are fantastic, and there is an outstanding selection of draft beer. This is a place you’ll definitely want to check out in Manchester.

Walked in, got a coffee… By accident! As soon as the waitress brought the coffee, we were astonished at the food prices for a diner. The waitress acted as if we were bothering her the whole time and would not make eye contact with us. We proceeded to pay for our unfortunate coffees and walk out. Also, the cooks were yelling at each other with profanity when we walked in. The place was empty, cold and unwelcoming. Would not go here again.

My girlfriend and I went to Murphy’s diner for breakfast this morning and it was just not what I expected. I had to wait 45 mins for my breakfast and it was very cold. I got the«Alexandra» which is French toast, bacon, home fries, eggs and toast. I was very disappointed. My French toast was not only cold but it was hard. My girlfriends pancakes were so dry. I’m very disappointed and I will not be going there again.

I needed a fast breakfast and they delivered(in and out in under 20 minutes). The place was sparkling clean and the service was very friendly. The food hit the spot but wasn’t extraordinary.

Going to diners is a good way to get to know the neighborhood, I’m really impressed with this one. The food here is common staple with a little New England flair.

Went on New Year’s Day 1÷1÷2015. Terribly slow and worse than last year quality wise. the owners/managers are working to make this right for our experience. This is great news and they truly care about this issue. They were understaffed and we witnessed several tables upset and leave before the food came. I believe it took 60 – 90 minutes before we receive our poor quality meal. I upped my rating again based on the mgt feedback received so far. We will have to return and retest the food since it was becoming a new years day tradition.

If i could rate negative stars, i would. I have now given this diner 3 different«trys» and this will be the last. Every visit i have gone for breakfast which is fairly hard to mess up. I ordered a grilled chix and american cheese omlette with hash browns and toast. After sitting through 50 min of listening to other patrons complain about how long their food was taking … My food arrived. Overcooked eggs with one square of cheese and what appeared to be 4 small pieces of chicken that had been cooked and cooked and cooked. 2 tiny pieces of burnt toast. The manager showed his face in the dining room with no apologies. Gross food, slow and the man in charge should wash up and get a haircut before showing his face to deliver food to his angry patrons.

I recently moved to NH and have visited Murphy’s Diner twice. What stands out the most to me is that this is the cleanest diner I have ever been to. No dust, clean floors, clean tables and fixtures. Both times, the service was very good. The wait staff are friendly and efficient, and they always bring our drinks out right away. Despite the place being fairly busy both times, we received our food quickly. The food is on par with respectable diner food. The eggs are always cooked to my satisfaction and they have good waffles and French toast. The meals are all quite large, so prepare for leftovers! Average diner prices and coffee.

Friendly staff. Fast service. Great tea selection. Homefries were soft and very flavorful, so if you are a crispy homefries person, I would ask if they can make them that way. Spiced apple french toast was very good, but the apples made pools of liquid on the bottom of the plate. Chicken quesadillas were okay — they weren’t completely full on the inside and needed some sort of salsa(they came with diced tomatoes and onions, but nothing saucy). Mac n’ cheese was very flavorful and the cheese sauce was smooth. Jack sticks were delicious and had a small amount of heat to them, and also could have used a marinara sauce. Deep fried french toast was good as well, reminded me of a fried dough from the fair. If they have the pumpkin pancakes, and you like the flavor of pumpkin treats, get them! You will not be disappointed! They are moist, thick, sweet, and have a festive fall pumpkin flavor that will rock your socks! Very clean environment, friendly servers, and good food :)

Staying the night in the world famous ManchVegas we were up ready roll and grab a nice breakfast. Right next to our hotel was Murphy’s diner and it did not disappoint. Homemade corned beef hash, good coffee and my sons favorite captain crunch French toast. The service was great and I would recommend this place to anyone staying downtown. Solid breakfast spot.

I had heard about Murphy’s Diner and their Captain Crunch French Toast. I really wanted to try it. I frequently visit the bar for performances on the patio and always thought«lets go one day». Well, I guess I will just be sticking to the bar from now on. Upon arrival it was like trying to enter into a third world country. There are potholes the size of Rhode Island and if your car is even slightly lowered you will ruin your front bumper… and there was no street parking. Some paving really would be nice. We walked in, and just like other posts have said, we were given a cattle call to «sit anywhere». A hostess really is not going to bring your coolness factor down at all. Get a hot one and it will be just as good as the bar. Our waitress took a while with the menus but when she came over all she uttered was«what’re ya drinking». Classy! When she brought our drinks back it was 11 o’clock. Keep time frames in mind. Then she walks away with out saying anything… at 11:10 she comes back to take our order and tries to commit it to memory. I order my desired French toast with one egg scrambled and hash browns. I said hash browns and yet my waitress felt the need to coddle me and make sure I didn’t mean corned beef hash. My fiancé ordered the eggs Benedict with beans for a side. Finally at 11:30 she walks by and slams down our ketchup without stopping. 11:35 comes our food.(that’s 20 minutes for breakfast) we get eggs Benny with home fries and French toast with hash browns and bacon. We did not order the bacon or the home fries. The waitress sees our confused face and yet still almost walks away. When we finally get her attention she says ok I’ll put the ham in… no apology at all. We said we didn’t ask for ham… we asked for a scrambled egg and beans. While waiting for the egg and beans we are what we had. The French toast was delicious but the holland aide sauce has wayyyyyyy too much salt in it and the hash browns were so cooked and cold that they could not be cut. The home fries were left as an oversight and the majority of them were either too cooked or almost raw and completely undesirable. Finally 10 minutes after the correction order, comes the scrambled eggs which are overcooked and cold. We had to ask for our bill and all that was done was the $ 1.50 scrambled egg was taken off the bill. My suggestion is do not frequent this business until they figure out their kinks and get some better servers!

Restaurant and staff– the restaurant itself is fairly clean, but when sitting at the counter all the waitresses stop and put the dirty eaten off plates and hot coffee carafes next to you which is not that appealing. There are not many people here and my waitress took my order while rushing by. She was nice enough but, not too attentive. They had customers come in a «side door» which is not located on the side of the building so I couldn’t find my way in right away. Also, since there does not appear to be a hostess, the waitresses yell across the restaurant for people to seat themselves. The staff seems covered in powder sugar. As does everything else in the restaurant. The seat next to me clearly never got wiped down. And when my first plate was cleared there was powdered sugar all over the counter. That came off of my plate, which clearly had nothing to do with sugar. Into the food: Corned beef hash– the knife cuts weren’t all the same general size so, the big hunks of potato in my hash were under done. The flavor was lacking I needed to salt and pepper it. The texture was good but, I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it again. Also, it had a weird sweetness to it which I’m wondering is another side effect of the powdered sugar everywhere. It’s just odd. The eggs Benny with regular bacon– first plate got sent back because the eggs were so over cooked they were hockey pucks. 2nd plate– came with raw eggs and florentine. (At this point I’m afraid someone will spit in my food) Plate 3– seemed to take forever but it and out and it was correct. Now all if these plates were brought by different people so, my waitress never even knew I’d had a problem with any of the plates. The only problem I had with the Benedict was the hollandaise. It was very sweet and tasted like oranges? I know it’s usually made with either lemon or vinegar as the acid but, oranges? Not the best choice. The potatoes were fine. All cooked through, fairly soft, which I like. Not super seasoned but, a little salt and pepper and some ketchup fixed that problem. I’m not usually so harsh in reviews but, this was such a bad experience, I had to be honest.

SUCKED. Based on a positive Unilocal review of good corned beef hash, we decided to try this place our for Sunday brunch. When the waitress delivered my hash, I figured the kitchen had run out and I got the last 3 spoons-full. I asked the waitress if this was the normal amount served and she said it was a bit small. The poached eggs were more like hard boiled eggs and they easily covered the dollop of hash. Fair home fries. My son thought the best part of the meal was the rye toast… not a glowing review. At least our dog had plenty of leftovers. Never again.
