Coffee Rani

Back again for some dinner. I had the pesto pasta bowl which was far better than I even expected. I will crave that dish. Wife had Mediterranean garden sandwich which she enjoyed. Employees were all exceptionally cordial and polite this time. Great little café.

It was just one of those days when i had to go to New Orleans from Baton Rouge. Flights a miss, I find myself wandering over Lake Pocnhatrian and looking at the vast expanse of the Lake.
I had family coming over and they would have loved these parts of the country. And we were a tad bit hungry and maybe a sip of coffee was required.
* More Than Just Coffee — We bumped into this place Coffee Rani when searching for coffee. But it’s certainly much much more than just your harmless coffee. It was very interesting. Their variety of coffee and or tea is interesting. My friends went for the lemon mint tea. It was nothing unusual.
* Fig Goat cheese Sandwich — But I went for their specials — the Fig sandwich — had a bit of goat cheese and honey in a regular sandwich bread. It was good. And that’s why I rate it ⁴⁄₅ mostly. It’s sweetish and if you’re looking for a savory sandwich then this is not your thing. But if you’re willing to experiment then the fig goat cheese goes very well.
* ambience — They have excellent seating both inside and outside. They have these pictures and the lighting is also great.

Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great food and service.

Wish I could give zero stars. Breakfast was a total fail. First of all, the staff was not friendly. Bad start from the beginning, but we brushed it off. Then we get the menus, and there are no prices on the menus. That was inconvenient and annoying. But anyway, we moved right along and hoped our food would be good and not a reflection of their service. We get the food, and the huevos rancheros were not huevos rancheros at all. It was a tortilla with eggs and onions. The Belgian waffle was hard, cold, and flavorless. Very much a disappointment. We will not be going back.

Amazing food and very nice staff. They even let me fill my yeti cup up with their black mint tea (which is delicious). Highly encourage people to try this place.

Great salads, great sandwiches and lots of other healthy options! I love their weight watchers menu! All the desserts are super delicious too! Especially the carrot cake! Yummmmmmy! Also, the service was awesome too! Don’t remember her name but the girl that checked us out was super friendly and very helpful.

Everything is amazing! The atmosphere is nice, a fun café with amazing staff! They couldn’t be nicer! Clean, welcoming, comfortable. Literally everything on the menu is an instant favorite. The anniversary turkey melt, Mediterranean veggie sandwich, pest crusted chicken, and strawberry blue cheese salad are perfection. The desserts are divine!!! Cheesecake imported from New York, heavenly strawberry shortcake, lemon bars that will knock you over! You can’t go wrong with anything here. A must for everyone!

Finally a great cup of strong coffee!!! waitstaff super nice. You place your order at the counter, get your number– all the silverware, condiments, and to go boxes are at a station –you help yourself… you put your number in the little holder on your table and they bring your food to you. You can tell I don’t get out much!!! This trip to Mandeville LA was food paradise! When you’re walking through the parking lot and see nothing but BMWs Audis and Porsches and there are no prices on the menu… you aren’t in Kansas anymore…
The slices of cake are huge! (was size of a Nerf football) maybe a slight exaggeration, but close…) My daughter had a piece of pistachio cake & also the three egg cheese and bacon omelette –was also good. The bacon is super crunchy… Lots of cheddar cheese! The cake we had to box up and fed the children of the neighborhood with when we got home

Nice little shop that’s more than a coffee shop. Huge selection of salads and plenty of entrees to choose from as well. Great place for a quiet afternoon lunch!

Great place, atmosphere is clean and relaxing. Perfect for Sunday brunch. Large variety on menu. I had «The Big Egg Sandwich» it was good, however the eggs were overdone and the cheese was over toasted. The rest of the food our party ordered was spot on!

I had always thought this was just another coffee shop. I never went. Then had the opportunity to go recently and was shocked. The menu is very extensive, and I don’t really remember coffee being a prominent thing on their menu. There is a lot of seating, and it’s much nicer than the standard indie coffee shop.
The first time I went, I ordered their Cobb salad after hearing good things. It was delicious. The second time I went, I ordered the Cobb Club, which was good, but not as good as the salad. The ciabatta bread they used though was good, so I’d be interested to try another sandwich using that bread. They have several salads to pick from, and my great experience with the Cobb is leading me to want to try one of their others. Their desserts are also very good.
If you’re looking for kind of an upscale vibe with good food, go here. It’s not so nice where you feel you need to dress up, and the prices aren’t outrageous. They have outdoor seating, which is cool. It’s not often I feel anxious to return somewhere to eat, but I am about CR. It’s a great place.

One of our go-​to breakfast places. The veggie omelet is amazing and their cinnamon toast is crazy good. Service is quick and their menu always has a nice selection. Also, the pastry case… mmmmm… Their salads for lunch are huge. Huge!

Had the Chicken Sardou «fabulous!» Split with me my beautiful wife and the tuna app. The food was delicious and drinks to boot. Very fresh made to order!

Coffee Rani has been a constant in my life, especially during my high school years. Line can get long, but moves well. Great array of soup/​salad/​sandwich options, and the healthy menu offerings are tasty.

Nice atmosphere… good food. Pretty quick to get your order out. Staff seems nice. Clean, well lit and seems like just a nice casual place to enjoy a meal and conversation. Even have seating outside with fans.

After just a couple of minutes in Coffee Rani, it is plainly obvious that it is well managed. The tables are clean, the servers are smiling, and so are the customers. It is an order at the counter and then be seated and have your order brought to the table. Food was well prepared and presented and delivered promptly. I had the Sante Fe turkey omelette which was smoky and delicious! Bathroom is very clean and we’ll decorated.
Don’t hesitate, you will enjoy!

Delicious food, decent prices, and a large menu. The choices are great for the health conscious. Indoor and outdoor seating available. If you plan to go for lunch get there right at 11, otherwise it gets insanely packed with Mandeville soccer Moms.

Great healthy options. The portobello wrap is awesome. Great selection of teas. No wonder there’s a line every day at lunch.

Best place in the state for super delicious salads! The iced tea selection is also pretty great. The service is fast and you can snack on the yummy soft free French bread while you are waiting. They have a dessert display filled with every tasty indulgence you could imagine. Most of their desserts are made at the fabulous Zoe Bakery. To go orders are picked up at the counter fast. You can easily split a salad there with a friend. Love this Mandeville staple!

I enjoyed my lunch here. I ordered a peppermint mocha latte and the curry chicken salad. This place was packed with women on their lunch breaks, but I came in a bit early (11:15) and was able to find a seat very easily. Most of The staff was very friendly though the older brunette woman taking orders behind the counter seemed frustrated when I asked a few simple questions like where the silverware was. Not everyone has been here before lady. Salad was amazeballs and the coffee had good flavor it was just a little too sweet for me (50 percent syrup). All in all I would come and try this place again next time I’m in the area.
