Street tacos, barbacoa, fajitas and chicken poblano are all fantastic!!! This is our favorite Mexican restaurant since they opened. Prices are great too.

Love this place! Great fresh fish tacos, portion sizes, and prices. They have live music some nights as well. Service here every time I’ve ever gone was exceptional.

This place is good. I mean really way south of the border good and great priced. Get the meat bowl. Best tequila selection I’ve seen too and I’m not talking about the kind you shoot, but sip and enjoy.

Dine in or take out. Lunch specials also. Have a nice menu selection. Nice casual family dining olace. Super busy on friday nights… nice staff. One of our go to places on the northshore when we crave mexican.

I feel like I go back and fourth with this place, sometimes I’m happy with the service and my food and other times I absolutely hate this place. This is my third time updating my review and definitely my last cause I’m done giving them third fourth and fifth chances. My order is never right here. I get the same thing every single time and my husband and I come here pretty often so there’s servers that know us as «usuals» we went here for dinner tonight and ordered my usual two crunchy shredded beef tacos and cheese enchilada make it supreme and I got two soft tacos and a ground beef enchilada … I took one bite of my taco and was done. It puts me in such a bad mood when I can’t ever get my order right because it’s not rocket science nor is it a complicated order and it’s not a hard job. I’ve been a server before and it just makes me mad when people don’t listen to the customer. I could have yet again had them taken my order back and waited another 30 minutes for my food but I think that’s crap and so now I’m officially done with this place. When I do get the food I want it’s delicious but it’s few and far between so good bye Lagos.

The food here is very good. I’m usually not a fan of Mexican food because I think it all kind of tastes the same wherever you go, but the food here is excellent. It’s usually not very busy for some reason. Even better than the food is the service. Mariana was the person who was taking care of us and she was flat out awesome. Usually food is what makes or breaks a restaurant for me, but in this case the food was great but she was the selling point. All of the staff is really nice and helpful. So if you’re looking for good Mexican food and great service, give Lago a shot.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant in Mandeville (although it’s been here for a while, this was our first visit). I had the Steak Street Tacos, WOW… I want to know what street these came from, because I want to live there. My wife ordered the à la carte steak burrito and my 13 y.o. son the enchilada, both loved it. My 10 y.o. picky son ate the cheese nachos. More than enough food and service was great. The one thing we that didn’t wow us was the Salsa.

This place was a great find! Good Mexican food, moderate prices and friendly service. The refried beans were outstanding! I tried a crunchy beef taco, cheese enchiladas (I don’t care for the white cheese), rice and beans. It was all pretty good and I’d go visit again. The chips and salsa were good but the salsa could’ve used a lil more spice. Our server was bilingual so we were able to speak Spanish which is a huge plus. It’s a small place but very clean and nice. Wasn’t hard to find at all!

The carnitas plate is absolutely delicious, this place I believe is the best value on the northshore for Mexican food. The service is fantastic and the vampire margaritas are awesome!

Got them the other day for a Togo order. Honestly wasn’t that impressed but for the price you got a good amount of food. The chicken had a good flavor but the pork was dry and seemed over cooked. Rice and beans were mushy. The hard tacos fell apart when both my girlfriend and dad ate them. Honestly would give them a Low 3 stars if possible.

4^th time here and it’s become our favorite tex mex on the north shore. If you’ve never been you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the quality and value.

The BEST Mexican food in Mandeville. The prices are great, service is top notch, food is great and flavorful, and big portions. We visit this place at least biweekly. LOVE it!

Good location and one million times better than MiMamacitas.
The food has gotten better since the owners have come to town. This is our go to restaurant! The food has now become consistent and better value and quality than ever before. Best Mexican food on this side of Mandeville.

This is easily the best Mexican and margaritas in Mandeville. The food is always good and super fresh. Takeout is fast and easy but we usually get little extras dining in, like complimentary queso and ceviche (which is amazing btw). Highly recommended.

We were in a very large group and were served fast and efficiently. I had the Lagos Chicken, which is a pounded out breast with sautéd onions, bacon and cheese. Very good. The only minus was the chips were saltless and bland.

It’s hard for me NOT to like mexican food. And even harder for my kids to disapprove. We won’t be going back. The chips were overcooked. The chicken in my chimichanga was tough. My daughter got a beef quesadilla and it was overstuffed with ground beef only. No flavor even to the ground beef. Thought there would be more too it. I am giving this two stars because my son’s chicken taco salad was decent and the waiter was good.
