Love this place! We order take-out, sometimes dine in on a Sat. night, weekday lunch. Consistently good food, great wait staff and it is very clean. Definitely recommend for Panini.

Best little Italian eatery in Manhasset right now. What it has going for it: — quaint atmosphere — great food — not over priced — clean — they deliver What it has going against it: — some nights there is a little late longer wait times for food than normal — workers carrying unprepared food and pots thru dinning room — portions are a little on the same size for some items Definitely worth the try. You won’t be disappointed.

Delicious! Plus gluten free options! We ordered sandwiches that were both great! The unsweetened iced tea could have been better. Quick delivery too!

This place is a gem in Manhasset. Serving Italian style cuisine, the ambiance is mellow, and romantic. The food is pretty incredible. I visited this placed based on Unilocal reviews, and was not disappointed. The waitstaff is patient, and helpful. The bathrooms are clean, and fit the décor of the main dining area. You can dine-in, or take-out. I dined in, but after such a positive experience, I may just pop in to pick up a panini or something in the future. This place seems to really pay attention to the small details. The food is arranged very artistically on the plate. The glassware, and plates are very trendy, and the menu is focused on a few select types of items. This allows the chef and staff to focus and perfect the food they make rather than generalize their cooking skill. The pricing is very competitive, and considering this place is in the heart of manhasset, I would say it gives the other sit-down style restaurants a major run for their money. The quality of the ingredients is very high. This is a great place for a date, event, or just to get lunch. This is my new favorite haunt in town. if you live in manhasset, bookmark this place like I did, and visit ASAP! :)

I have so many good things to say about this restaurant. I have never had a bad meal and I eat from here at least once a week. The salads are fresh and delicious. I absolutely love the paninis. The space in the back is small but so cozy and beautiful, and everyone who works there is wonderful. This place is the best for takeout/delivery. Delivery is free and prompt and the food is always hot. I highly suggest Trattoria for anyone looking for a healthy, fresh and delicious meal in Manhasset. There is nothing else like it!

My husband and I love Trattoria 444! We eat there often. The food is consistently delicious, especially the soups! We also love the pizzas, bruschetta and gelato. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Joe, the owner, is a terrific host who says hello to everyone and makes you feel very welcome and appreciated! If you haven’t been before, we recommend you try it!

Delicious Italian food leaning towards lighter and healthier. This is a small, cozy, fairly quiet neighborhood jem that’s perfect for date night, a special occasion, or just a quick escape with wonderful food and a glass of wine. The salads and soups are incredible and the other dishes I’ve had have been excellent. The owner, Joe, is fantastic, considerate, and checks in with guests to make sure everything is perfect. This is a well run restaurant that never disappoints.

This is the second time I come to this restaurant and both times I had an excellent meal. My boyfriend who is the pickiest eater loves this place as well. The ambiance is wonderful. When you first walk in you wonder, what kind of place is this as one of the kitchens is in the front and it looks like a deli or pizza place but once you get into the dining room it opens to a beautiful decorated room that welcomes you and makes you feel like you are in someone’s homey house having a wonderful meal with a friendly attentive staff. The owner Joe is a really nice guy that checks in with you to make sure you are enjoying the meal. I hope this review will make you want to go there and try this wonderful little find. My goal is to try something different every time I go.

I stopped into Trattoria Four Forty Four with a co-worker for lunh and overall loved the great Italian style food. I caveat up front that we went for lunch and stuck with brushetta, paninis and fries so this is a «lunch food» review. Lunch prices were great $ 8 – 12 for salads, paninis, and flatbread pizzas, but entrees are also very reasonable $ 15 – 23. That being said… AWESOME. We started with the portobello brushchetta with roasted mushrooms, walnut, goat cheese and balsamic reduction. The toppings were generously heaped on and perfectly proportioned. They were very large pieces of bread, one slice being what usually two pieces add up to. Three were plenty for two of us to share as a starter. I tried the Terra panini(vegetarian with portobello, broccoli rabe, peppers, zucchini and assiago cheese). I appreciate that there was a generous portion of broccoli rabe despite that being the expensive ingredient. There was enough cheese to be noticed, but not the gross oily, guilt-ridden quantities some paninis have. Bread was crisp and hearty. My co-worker had the Gallardo panini(chicken, marinated artichoke, sundried tomato, mozzarella and basil pesto) which he also loved. If you stop by here you MUSTTRYTHESWEETPOTATOFRIES(yes I used caps to make sure you read that). I appreciate that they were the right level of crisp outside and soft inside that fries should be, but they came seasoned with rosemary, garlic and I think some parmasean flakes. Rosemary on sweet potato fries?! Why hasn’t this been done sooner? Service was quick and friendly. Ambiance was a nice inner space(aka no windows in the main dining room), but decorated with a «evening in Tuscany» type design. The bathroom was clean but also pretty, keeping with the Italian terracotta/tile design. I’ll be sure to drop in whenever I’m back in the Manhasset area. NOTETOSELF: they have GELATO… try it :)

Awesome food and atmosphere. The food was out of this world! I am on a strict gluten free diet so I really appreciate the wide selection of gluten free items at a low cost of $ 3.00. The up charge was well worth it, the cost is fair and the gluten free items are outstanding. A must try for anyone on a gluten free diet.
