I tried this place based on the positive Unilocal reviews, but it is just not good at all. I ordered orange chicken, Szechwan beef and moo shu pork: –The beef has ZERO flavor. –The orange chicken is decent at best, but only because it actually has some flavor compared to the beef. –Worst of all, the moo shu pork literally is about 95% bean sprouts, lettuce and egg and comes with pretty much NO pork. Seriously disappointing. There’s no way I’m ordering from here again. I recommend you steer clear as well… I never thought I’d say this, but Panda Express sounds good all of the sudden.

Yes, it’s a little hole in the wall but it’s always delicious food. Lemon Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Veggie Egg Rolls and BBQ Pork Chow Mein are fantastic. Classic Chinese take-out. You can’t go wrong. We have tried other places and always come back. Hot and fast delivery. But the people here are the absolute friendliest!

Ate here with a co worker yesterday and was a little scared just based on the look of this place. Its smaller in size and not much seating. Food was what u would expect from a fast food joint. The service was great, and fast. Food is made fresh so no steam trays or heat lamps. I need to try some other options on the menu so really see what this place is about.

Been craving Chinese food for the longest time. Although we don’t live in Manhattan Beach, El Segundo’s not far from there. So we drove by and parked(Lucky us, someone across the street at parking garage left minutes, so yay!) we walked across the street and placed our order(they have lunch specials & dinner specials — of course you’ll have to choose the entrée’s they offer) but it was doable, because i wanted chow mein. Within 10 or less than 15 it was ready and we were on our way. Came home and ate, it was good! I’m not picky when it comes to Chinese food, but I must say they was a lot better than the crap I use to eat back where I lived. Can not compare. And cheap, but not cheap taste or quality(well I thought). Don’t know if they’d deliver to El Segundo(even for a charge) but definitely worth going to get take out when we don’t feel like being social or sit down restaurant.

We ordered 5 different dishes and everything was bland. The Mushu had zero taste at all. The chicken with mushrooms and chicken with cashews were also without any seasoning. We paid over $ 75 and will not be ordering again.

This is my top spot for quick and easy Chinese delivery. The food is solid, but nothing fancy or extraordinary. Just decent Chinese food for a delivery place that is very reasonably priced. It’s Chinese fast food delivery, so it’s not completely healthy. But it is certainly not as heavy and salty as many Chinese places. And there are healthy options on the menu. For example, there is a steamed vegetable plate that I generally get and add to other dishes. I also usually get the Mongolian Beef; always tender meat with excellent flavor. The delivery is also fast… I live pretty close to the restaurant, but it is still impressive when the food arrives at your door in under 15 minutes. If you live anywhere around here, give Beach Chinese a shot. I do not think you will be disappointed.

Best Chinese in the South Bay especially the orange chicken. Been eating here for more than a decade and can’t say I’ve had better. The lady is so nice!

I’ve been ordering from Beach Chinese for two years. They are consistently good. I’ve never had a problem with delivery. My sister LOVES Asian food and she really likes this place. Boyfriend wants to order from them regularly too. I usually order the same things. Usual order: Beef chow fun — My favorite. Sometimes I get it spicy. Pork potstickers — They were only overcooked once. Otherwise always satisfying. Mixed vegetables with fried tofu; ask for it spicy. Kind of bland the one time I forgot to ask. Orange beef — Boyfriend’s fave. He keeps ordering it so it must be good. Occasional order: Wonton soup — really satisfying with a mild flavor and lots of stuff in it. Egg Flower soup — good

I was actually REALLY impressed with the food here. It had so much flavor(even the rice). I ordered the Beef Mongolian and Sesame Chicken. Very yummy! I would definitely recommend this place to others. Placed a order for pickup, and it was ready within 15 minutes.

Worst chow mein I’ve ever had. And if you can’t get chow mein down, things are not looking up. It was very bland and the noodles were just not right. Tried a bite of another spicy chicken dish, which was okay, but overall I would not come back. I ended up going to buy dinner at the grocery store since I couldn’t finish my dish.

It was raining, it was cold, I had moved to the southbay from Santa Monica and wasn’t really sure of what options I had for Chinese food in the area. It’s walking distance from my place so I decided to give it a try — I had it delivered. Don’t judge, it was pouring rain and I was being so LA. Plus: they were really fast! Food to my door in 20 min or so. Food was subpar and slightly disappointing, actually very disappointing. I guess I should have known better. someone said it was authentic chinese food like in Hawaii. What I ordered: Vegetable Chow Mein, added crispy tofu: there were hardly any vegetables in it. 10% veggies and it was really bland. Had to add my own siracha… loads of it Veggie Egg Fu Young: decent, edible. That’s all I can say. Wonton Soup: I liked this but slightly salty. Wontons tasted home made. Egg Drop Soup: meh? From what I ordered, wasn’t a huge fan but maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Though I wouldn’t ever say that Orange Chicken or Beef and Broccoli are authentic Chinese Food.

I have never set foot in the restaurant but we order delivery from them all the time. My wife refused to eat Chinese food because of the poor quality in the area. Now that we have found Beach Chinese we eat their food regularly. She says it is the closest to the Chinese food she grew up with in Hawaii. I like their food as well. I like their spicy dishes but there are also milder dishes for my son(he loves their Beef Broccoli). This in NOT P.F. Chang or China Grill foo foo Chinese. It is good home style Chinese food!!!

They’ve been there for over 20 years, you might actually overlook it because it’s in between two popular spots, El Tarascos and Katsu Sushi. My lunch special was cheap and hit the spot. With any Chinese meal, i always get hot and sour soup. Hot and sour soup is the best for a hangover. The soup was decent. I like my soup to be a bit more tangy and stronger ginger. Entrée was sweet and sour pork and friend rice. The sweet and sour pork was also a bit milder and subtle in flavor. Fried rice was perfectly fine. All in all a good option for the location. Quick and easy. The restaurant is a hole in the wall. The décor is more for people picking up. It’s small and intimate. Drinks are served in bottle and cans. I’d recommend.

Pretty good food for the price. Their won ton soup has helped me through more than my fair share of colds and is tasty. The other items I’ve had are, Chinese food. :-)

Do yourself a favor and just call PF Changs. I was told this place was awesome and the best local Chinese in Manhattan Beach. After taking his advice and having a universally bad experience, regardless of dish, meat or veggie — I now realize the person that gave me that recommendation is a pothead surfer who would eat anything put in front of him. Even Beach Chinese.
