I have popped in and out of here rarely over the past few years, but my most recent visit was very bizarre. Instead of waiting in line behind 1 person in the main area I was told to order upstairs since I was going to sit and eat my whopper jr. I proceed upstairs to see a host, given a menu, and told to sit where I would like. I find a seat then wait. Why the heck would I order through a waiter at BURGERKING. I have talked to 2 staff members and still haven’t placed an order. After waiting a few minutes I wised up and grabbed a slice of pizza next door. These guys struggle putting onion rings in a brown paper bag, they are not going to be much better with table service. If you like your staff to be rude, incoherent, and glued to their cell phones you’ll love the table section at this local Burger King, Bön Appetite.

This Burger King is located around the corner from One World Trade Center. This BK has something I have never in my life seen in a fast food restaurant: beer. Yes, you can order a Guinness with your Whopper and fries. The staff is friendly and helpful, too. I came here with a few relatives, and they were kind enough to bring the food and the booze to our table instead of having us wait by the cash register. The bottom line is that it is your typical fast food joint, with a pretty cool staff, and beer.

A BK with table service that has… BEER!!! Pinch me, please. I must be dreaming(no, I can assure you it’s very real and very, very awesome). Okay first off, what the hell guys? Is a fast food restaurant offering booze and table service not enough for you greedy-ass people? So much negativity and hate for a typical chain restaurant I’d fully understand, but this is *not* your typical chain spot. Having come from visiting the 9⁄11 Memorial, my folks and I were feeling peckish and at least one of us had to use the restroom. We ignored the downstairs area and instead moseyed on upstairs where a freakin’ host WALKEDUS to a table. We were given plastic menus and told«your server will be with you shortly.» At this point my mom, dad and I exchanged glances as if to say«are we being Punk’d? Is this a hidden camera show??» None of us could believe what we were hearing and seeing. Sure enough, a gentleman comes by later and takes our order. As we’re sitting down. At a Burger King(typing this out weeks later, I’m still in disbelief). I flip over to the back of the menu and what doth mine eyes see but sweet, sweet alcohol. Domestic AND imported cans ranging from $ 4.50 to $ 7. Yeah it’s not cheap, but if you feel like drinking at a BK in the Financial District then it’s gonna cost ya. In addition to the cans of Miller Lite, Blue Moon and Corona, they offered Angry Orchard hard cider in bottles and perhaps most intriguing of all, a Guinness shake(for alcoholics who can’t decide between drinking and dessert). Not one to pass up an opportunity, I got a can of Heineken and some chicken fries. Excellent. I didn’t have to ask for sauce, our waiter automatically brought BBQ and honey mustard out to us. He was cool and had a terrific attitude. Although I didn’t avail myself of the facilities, I was told that the bathrooms were in stunningly good condition. The dining area on the upper level had nary a spill or mess waiting to be cleaned. Totally, spotlessly clean. As if that wasn’t enough, hanging up next to our table was a chalkboard with the NBA playoff bracket HANDSKETCHED on it. Someone – with extremely impressive artistry skills – actually took the time to draw out each team’s logo and how they progressed in the finals. Again, holy sh*tnuts. Wow. Just wow. Bread = 4(normally I’d say«it’s a burger king, who really gives a crap?» but having beer gives them a huge advantage) Circuses = 5+ At the time, I was at a complete loss for words(obviously now, not the case). Everything bad about fast food restaurants was absent at this particular BK. If I found myself in the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to return. You takin’ notes, McDonald’s?

I work in the area and I pop in to this establishment now and then for the occasional breakfast or lunch sandwich. Most of the staff are fine but many move at a glacial pace and are quick to say«YOU’REWELCOME» if they’re not thanked profusely for tossing your sandwich in a brown paper sack. It’s also worth noting that NOTONCE have I been thanked myself, as a customer and NOTONCE has my own«thank you» been responded to in kind. Poor customer service and bad attitudes will kill a joint…

Had visited the 9⁄11 Memorial and was walking around downtown in the bitter cold. I thought going into a Burger King would be the most predictable dining experience i could imagine. Oh boy, was I ever so wrong. It was the most bizzare fast food experience. As we entered a man directed us to go upstairs, I was a bit confused and just assumed there was no seating downstairs. As we get to the second floor we are greeted by a hostess who was going to seat us! In a Burger King?! I was totally confused and thought I had come to another restaurant that was on top of Burger King. If you go to a fast food place and they ask ‘how many people sir?’ I think anyone would be thrown off! But wait, it gets worse, as I get ‘seated’, Im asked if I want a beer?! Again, this is in a Burger King. My head was spinning to say the least. As I try to make sense of this surreal experience, our waiter brings us menus at the table. I knew I hadnt been to a Burger King for a long time at a lame attempt to stay healthy, but had no idea they went all fine dining on you since then! I was told to pay at the end of the meal, wow, this is almost like a real restaurant I thought to myself. Whats next, will I get silverware and china to cut my cheeseburger. Well, I didnt, it was served on the same plastic tray you normally get with the burger wrapper. My confustion continious as I consider the tipping dilemma. This is fast food, but there is a waiter, am I supposed to tip? If you have read any of my other reviews you will know that I occassionally refer to myself as a cheapskate, so I will let you take a guess at what I did. I do appreciate a fast food chain trying a different concept, and I understand this is likely due to all the tourists in the area, but this was probably the most ghetto-style attempt at being a restaurant. If you havent been to this location, just picture your local Burger King joint transforming into a fine dining establishment without changing any of the interior. Also, I recall the prices being a bit higher than the typical Burger King location, and at this time I actually really just wanted the cheapest and fastest meal possible. I’m giving it two stars because the bizarreness factor kept me quite entertained on my way back to Queens.

THEYSERVEBEERHERE.($ 5-$ 6 for Coronas, Heinekens, etc.) Okay, I don’t generally leave reviews for such an obvious fast-food restaurant, but this Burger King is unlike any other Burger King I’ve ever experienced. This sounds sooo dramatic but please bear with me. I met my friend here for lunch and he lets me know as soon as I get there that we have to go upstairs to order. I like say whaa? So we head upstairs and there’s A HOSTTHATGUIDESUSTOOURTABLE. And I’m looking around, baffled as heck, and the man goes, «Honey, where you from?» cause I’m sure he thinks I’m a tourist from my utter confusion. I say, «Brooklyn!» and he laughs and says«Yes, represent!» So we sit down(and I’m still in bewildered), and another dude comes TOTAKEOURORDER. ATBURGERKING. We give him our coupons, which he has confirmed that we can use, and he brings us the receipts and we give him our card/cash. He serves our food in the paper bags, and brings us ketchup in little ketchup cups from a platter he’s walking around with. What. Is. Life. The host comes by me, and ask me if I’m Chinese. I miss a beat but I reply, yes I am haha. «Ni hao ma?!» !!! He does it in a super friendly manner and I’m like yes sir, same to you as well. A+ to this Burger King for the tourists. I overhear the host asking if the French couple would like ‘fromage’(cheese). Love it. I guess cause fast food joints in Europe are fancy af, so they decided to have this location be what it is. We didn’t tip, cause we didn’t see anyone else doing so(and cause it was Burger King).

Because there is no zero star option. The staff is so rude. We went in for a quick snack and seemed liked they were not happy to have us because we placed a minimal order.

I get a kick out of this place because of the pretentiousness of the small minded staff. They sell Beer. Have you ever been to ANY fast food restaurant that serves alcohol? When I go to a BK I just want my food with as little fanfare as possible. These people are always on show and loud, loud loud! I avoid this one unless I have absolutely no choice.

My vision of how the training at this burger king location is as follows : 1. Stand at the front and insist the customer make a decision on whether they’re dining in or taking their food to go(before the door even closes). 2. Re invent the wheel by handing the customer a menu and directing them to have a seat where they can order from a waitress and pay more to do so. 3. Watch the video of thriller(the 14 minute version) because that’s how long it will take to bring them their food. 4. Don’t bring the customer their bill during that 14 minute window. Instead, wait for said customer to be halfway through eating, and then ask the customer to touch their dirty money while touching the food. 5. Do not include any of the following items in bags of food; ketchup, salt, pepper, napkins, and or any sauce.

When reviewing mega food chains, my review is more about the staff, service and atmosphere then it is about the homogenous over processed bland food. Large and clean fast food joint. Staff was attentive and the wait time for my order was short And they serve beer at this location.

Flat out rude! As soon as you walk in, the«greeter» tries to herd you in a particular direction. The guy there the day we went in should never be a greeter. When we made a comment about how rude he was, he started talking back to us. We only came in for a drink because it was a hot day. But I sure wouldn’t go back in again. The counter service was very disorganized. I’m glad we didn’t get a full meal.

Pathetic. Does not operate like any other burger king. You won’t be allowed to sit unless you pay extra. Plus, there will be a women who tries to get your tip by being a b$tch.

They list a price for the children meals that include a hamburger, cheeseburger or chicken strips; strawberry applesauce or french fries; and milk, juice or soda. However, they end up charging extra for the milk.(they charge more than their marquee states the product costs). Every person that orders a kids meal is being overcharged.

Congratulations, Burger King Store #2446, on achieving the distinction of the most dysfunctional branch in FiDi and the city of New York, if not the world. I get that this branch’s location results in its being swarmed with hoards of tourists, but it’s been in business long enough to have implemented a system to deal with the customer traffic flow. There is in fact an employee who seems to be working as greeter/traffic director, and there are hoards of employees behind the counter. At minimum, management should have borrowed from McDonald’s or Wendy’s and implemented roped sections making it clear that there are multiple lines, not least as this is something of a universal sign for the non-English speaking tourists in the area to visit the 911 memorial. With apologies to Trent Reznor, I bestow upon this Burger King«this crown of s**t.»

It’s Burger King. If you’re looking on Unilocal to find out what that is, I don’t know what to tell you. I think the biggest draw here are the bathrooms. You have to buy food to get past the guard to head to the dining area upstairs. The line for the bathroom there was ridiculous. I don’t blame them for the line nor the people(like me) that got a simple burger to get the pass upstairs so I could piss upstairs. Haha, it is what it is. All the sales people and guards were nice. Much pricier that other Burger Kings, but location, location, location!

Absolutely horrible service. Took about 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge we were waiting to place our order and then once we did, the person taking the order ran and did something in the back for a few minutes. We ended up leaving mid transaction. Employees in the back were sitting down, talking amongst each other and didn’t acknowledge any of the customers. Possibly one of the worst Burger King restaurants I’ve ever been to. Not only was it bad customer service, but the establishment wasn’t clean either. I really hope a store manager or corporate pays some attention to this specific location.

Worst BK I’ve ever been to. Came here looking to get a few two for $ 4 croissant sandwiches for coworkers and I to share. Big mistake. Took almost 10 min to have my order taken and there was just one person in front of me. The store looked dirty and the staff seemed to not care. The owner of this store needs to step their game up. McDonald’s is a block away on Broadway and does a phenomenal job with much more volume.

Not sure what is going on, but apparently the price of 2 meals requires a manager to take a credit card. Tonight the manager was upstairs and it took them about 5 minutes to come down. Not idea why they would put such a low limit but it really slows everything down. The food we ordered was exactly as ordered and tasted good. If they can figure out the cc thing they’ll be fine

Best service I’ve ever had at a fast food restaurant, period. Lines move quickly, employees seem to love and care about their job and look happy. Then they actually seat you… walk you over to a table, and bring your food to you when it’s done. Never had this kind of service at fast food before. Been here a few times(when friends are in town and we go to the Trade Center, since this is right near it) and the service has been AMAZING each time. This is completely not normal for NYC, where most fast-food places(including Starbucks) the employees are rude, unmotivated and lazy. Kudos to whoever is running this place, you’re doing an excellent job. This really is a great example to follow.
