I have just moved away, and can give an honest set of feedback for this laundry place for my last 2 years’ of experience here 1) Self service is a-ok. There is another laundromat at 84th and Columbus(NW quadrant) that I use sometimes. This one is closer, but only open on Sundays and Wednesday evenings. Sometimes the quarters don’t always work and you have to re-insert the quarters. One time a quarter of mine got swallowed up and I had to ask the guy for help. Guy is super nice and helpful. However, sometimes they don’t always show up on time to opening hours — so we don’t go right at start time. Sometimes all the machines are full so they’ll move one of their service clients so we can do laundry — that is nice, but annoying. On any given day maybe 10% of the machines are broken. Again, I can’t beat it for its price but you get what you pay for 2) Laundry by the pound — the prices are quite reasonable and they’ve never lost anything. Everything is folded up really, really nicely. 3) Dry cleaning. My husband used the dry cleaning here once or twice. No complaints but we also never dropped everything super nice here

PANTSONFIRE I stopped dropping laundry here years ago after Hoyaa turned the embroidered purple flowers on my Yves Delormes sheets pink and claimed with a straight face the sheets were pink when I brought them in. Recently the dryers in my building went temporarily out of order, so I started bringing a washed load across the street to use Hoyaa’s self-service dryers on Sundays, which was very convenient. The first time I went with pre-washed clothes, the African-American guy started to say something to me as I loaded the dryer, but the short Asian-American guy stopped him with«It’s fine.» I returned two weeks later with no problem and again used just the dryer. Today I returned again, but the Asian guy stopped me at the door and first said all the dryers were in use, which I pointed out was plainly false. He then claimed it was Hoyaa’s policy not to let customers use dryers if they weren’t using washers. I asserted that I had used just the dryers twice before at their business and that he himself had okayed it, but he insisted that he had worked there for five years and would«never» say such a thing. It’s no wonder the reviews here are 1 and 2 stars! I did appreciate getting to dry clothes cheaply while it lasted.

They lose your stuff and make no apologies for it. When your stuff does come back it’s in good shape and the delivery people are courteous. But I’m not giving them any more chances after 2 separate incidents of losing my things. Get it together Hoyaa!

The laundry just ruined an entire laundry bag of my clothes! All my once white clothes are now pink. Half the bag was work clothes – business attire that isn’t cheap to replace and ALLOFIT is ruined and needs to be replaced. This is first time I’ve ever cried over laundry. DONOTUSE.

I have gone for this laundromat on the Upper West Side for nearly three years, mainly out of convenience. Although I have found the male employees there amicable and helpful, one of the female employees there has lost my business, and I will be sure to share this with other people in the neighborhood. First off, every time I go into the laundromat and asked for change, she responded as if I was asking her to raise the Titanic. Although very rude and rushed, I tolerated it. An interaction this past week was entirely unacceptable by any employee or business. After waiting patiently for 20 minutes to dry my clothes and asking an employee if I could remove the clothes from one of the dryers that was nearly done, I began to move the clothes and place them neatly in a bin adjacent to the dryer. The woman who was working there came over to me and said, «Sir you cannot do that.» I apologized profusely and explained that I had been waiting for twenty minutes and did not realize I could not do that. The employee nodded, and then spoke to her fellow employees insulting me in a different language thinking that I did not understand it. She called me a «dumbass», «moron», and«idiot», to my face in a different language, not knowing that I spoke it. When I confronted her on it, she gave a rushed apology and then continued to accost me for taking the clothes out of the dryer. Needless to say, I recommend to everyone that rather than be cursed out in another language when you go there, take your laundry to another laundromat close by. It’s worth the inconvenience!
