The Burger Barn

This place has. Ey fresh and filling burgers! 100% beef it taste homemade because it is! I enjoyed the original barn burger! Will get back bean burger next! It melted in my mouth!

Great food. Quick service. Friendly staff. If you are looking for a great burger, this is the place to go.

Be leery of dark restaurants… they are hiding something.
The wife and I were in the Manvel area and found this place on Unilocal and gave it a shot.
On the wall just inside the door is a menu of all the burgers offered, you order at the bar and a food runner brings your order.
I went with the teriyaki burger. It came wrapped and I was impressed at how huge it looked. I dug a little deeper, pretty flat bun, layer of onions, huge layers of lettuce, layer of pickles, pineapple ring and there is the meat patty… way down there… it was pretty thin. It was ok and the teriyaki sauce was tasty, just wish it was a bit more meaty. The fries had no taste, it was nice that they weren’t salty but some sort of seasoning is in order.
Staff was nice and if you check in on Unilocal you get 10% off your order. Didn’t check in until after we paid.
The parking lot? Bring your rubber boots…

Mediocre food, very SLOW service. I do not recommend coming on a Sunday at 8:30, they close at 9 and give you nasty looks of you get there when they want to close early.

I got the Refried bean burger and it was great! The beans were nice and blended well with the veggies and even more so the meat and cheese! The fries were nice and crispy and the meal was over all phenomenal! I’m always so impressed with the burgers I get. They are all made to order which you don’t find very often at other places and the wait time was reasonable considering they had a lunch crowd at 12. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes burgers but more so if you are wanting to try some odd like the peanut butter burger, or royal burger with a fried egg. They also have a few selections of Tex-​Mex food and amazing wings! This place is the place that will satisfy your cravings to the max!

Great place for families! Good vibe, good service, and the food wasn’t terrible (fries were cold, and burger was not seasoned).

This burger place has very good tasting burgers however their sides are not good at all and I can’t understand why… who can mess up the taste of fries? I didn’t know it was even possible…
The lines are long and you have to wait quiet a while to get your food but it must be worth the wait since my husband and I saw the owner of Killens BBQ eating here aswell
In order to avoid the long lines and waiting my husband and I tried ordering over the phone
After my husband picked up our order and brought it home we realized everything about our order had been messed up
We have no longer ordered anything from them through the phone.
My husband continues to like their burgers and so do I but I just don’t prefer this place

This place was good!
We spotted it making a run to this town and noticed the parking lot was packed.
Must be good…
Stopped in and ordered to go. (although they had a drive thru, we walked in)

One of the best burgers I have ever had. My favorite is the Fritos pie burger. And my kids like their corn dogs. Prices are pretty good and affordable

Burgers are huge, supper tasty. The side salad is an ample amount for the price (about $ 2.39). The music is a bit loud but that’s just a side note really.
The only reason why I’m not giving it 5 stars is because I saw 1 boy get someone a side of mayo out of a jar with a spatula and no gloves. Also the boy that brought our food ran his hand through his long hair and then picked up our tray to bring it to us.

We ordered food to go. I called in our order, the line was busy the first few times. Finally, someone answered and took my order. She was very nice, repeated my order and my husband went to pick it up. He said the place was packed, and the staff was very nice.
I ordered the number one, which was a cheeseburger. The burgers are huge, and it looked good but one side of the bun felt frozen. It had been toasted but it was cold. I had to scrape off the mound of mayo. It was loaded with lettuce, tomato, and onion, and the cheddar they used was very good, however, the amount of mayo ruined it for me, and the fact that the one side of the bun was ice cold.
My husband liked the wings he got. The fried green beans were excellent, and our daughter-​in-​law liked the BLT she got. But since this is based on my food, I have to give it 2 stars.
I would be willing to give this place a second chance but would eat in, and order my burger dry.

Very good Bacon Cheddar Burger! Fries were good and service was quick and great! Surprised that they offer a Monster Burger Barn Burger which includes 4 lbs of ground chuck and cost $ 25.99.

This place had been on my radar for a while now and by chance I was able to finally make a pit stop. This is located way out there. It seems to be popular amongst the locals that flock in their pick up trucks. The parking lot was full and so that was a good sign of things to come. You can find the menu on the wall and you see everything that they offer. Since this was my fist time I wanted to keep it simple and ordered their original burger with a side of chili cheese fries and a drink. All of this came out to be $ 10.83. At first glance the burger looked very fresh with all the right trimmings. This burger was absolutely fresh and delicious. It reminded me of whataburger flavor without the fast food sloppiness. This is one of the better burgers I have tasted this year and was amazed! The chili cheese fries were also some of the best I have tasted. They dont use that cheap cheese other places use. Overall, I really loved this place! The only reason it did not get 5 stars is because it was not able to knock off my #1 spot. Still though, do try it!

Have always made it out here for a great burger and cold beer– lots of choices but my fav is the burger with refried beans… sounds crazy but its awesome– fast service and always great food. They have enchiladas and chicken as well bring the kids and the folks…(retro stand up video games in the corner as well).

First things first, me and my husband hardly are able to go out anywhere together. We just work different shifts. We had heard great things about this place for a while now from our coworkers. We live near Almeda and 288. It was about a 30 – 40 min drive. I loved everything about this place! There was no line when we walked in. We both had a bacon cheese burger, french fries and lemonade. I thought the burger was great except for the bacon. I have very sensitive teeth and the bacon was thick and crispy. My husband loved the bacon. Next time we go back, I will definitely go for a different burger. The French fries were hot and a good amount. The lemonade was delicious also. There are free refills on soft drinks, tea and lemonade. I have enclosed pictures of the menu because I had trouble finding the cost of the food on the internet.

Absolutely delicious burgers and chili cheese fries we both got the bacon cheddar burger and I got fresh avocado on mine. Huge portions and great prices! So hot and juicy, will definitely go back again and again!

I don’t think I would drive all the way out here just for a burger, but if you’re passing through on Highway 6 it’s worth a shot. Some of the toppings (like refried beans) work really well. We waited about 10 minutes for the fried mushrooms and about 25 minutes for the burgers.

The Burger Barn is a country shack that servers expensive burgers, weak margaritas, commercial beers and other trinkets that you can get at your run of the mill POS diner. On this occasion, I went with the #1, The original barn burger and a shiner bock for 8 bucks! Quite Expensive, but the burger was actually worth it. Flavored and finely cooked. I knew after I took the first bite that this was a legit establishment. The service was ok, the restrooms were a bit shaky, but they flame-​broil one hell of a burger. Highly recommended!
