Not a fan. It took quite a while to get my food on a slow weekday, and received my appetizer after I was served the main meal. The chicken in the enchilada was good but the rice was dried out and tasted stale. Prices were standard but not worth the wait.

Great local find. Friendly staff and good food. Cadillac margarita is a winner! Rice is fresh and not dried out. I’ve tried the chicken burrito(delish) and the prawn & carne asada fajitas(prawns were great but carne asada was a bit tough). Our go-to dinner spot with the family.

Clean looking atmosphere, their wait staff extremely friendly staff. Their prices are average for the valley. And their food is pretty tasty. When we got there we were seated right away with no delay. Their chips and salsa are very good. However, I would definitely recommend their fish tacos. Their menu is pretty easy to look over, and their dining atmosphere is up to standards. I would recommend this to anybody with a family, or just wanting some great Mexican food.

Went in today for lunch right when they opened. When I’m in the area, this is the Mexican place my sister in law always suggests. Food came out quickly, I always get the carne asada dish. When it comes to Mexican food, I’m pretty lenient because it usually all tastes the same to me. Carne asada came with guac, but no sour cream and I didn’t bother asking in case of an extra charge. Chips and salsa are always good and the server was very attentive on refilling our water and coming to check on us. The owner is very friendly as well, so the service here plays a big part. I wouldn’t mind coming back again, but if I’m paying for a carne asada dish, I need sour cream!

Stopped here for lunch and it was really good. Maybe a bit heavy handed on the cheese, but that seems to be the case at most Mexican restaurants. The service was quick, friendly and efficient. The salsa and chips fresh, the food was good and the price was very reasonable.

We had dinner there tonight and what a joke. i quit eating ground meat there because i swear it goes through the food processor before it goes in your food. I ordered albondigas soup which was good but they never came back to fill up my drink glass. i did not eat all my soup and ask for a to go container and i was given a large to go cup. Flimsy. Seriously.

We come here a couple times a month for the fajita salad. It is by far the tastiest one out there! Most Mexican restaurants serve very little, the prices are higher and the food isn’t half as good. The owner is always inviting and the staff is friendly. Great«Hole In The Wall» treasure.

Usually when your exhausted from moving from one city to another city, three hours away, sweaty, tired, and ready to down a margarita or two… anything would taste good right? Well… not so much… I really wanted to love this place. Because it’s close to new home, cute location, easy access… etc. But, hmph. It was not tasty, the margarita was lacking alcohol(if any was on it), the décor was shoddy and old(not cute old, like old office chairs old), not clean(splashes of beans on walls), and the service was back talking and know it all ish(one knows that’s the worst). Just not a good experience. Seriously, I was so bored with this place I can’t even care to write much about it. Nothing special, oh and for those chile relleno lovers, note to self, these are omelette rellenos. Ick. Why does anyone serve those still? That’s SO wrong! Dammit, lightly batter the fresh chile and cheese, don’t whip up a yellow omelette to put in! Is it so hard?! I obviously get very heated when expressing my relleno love and stipulations, so I’ll end this review now… just please I’ll go to a IHOP if I want a omelette! D:

We love La Fogata! The staff here is genuinely amazing, consistently the best and most personal service we have ever had. The food, chips, salsa are always great too, along with drinks. You can tell the owner definitely pays attention to what is going on, and is always there greeting people and making sure everything is perfect.

We’ve been here before, but the food was better this time. Service was good as well.

This place is just wonderful. The staff remembers the customers’ names, the food is great, and it’s a great place to grab a quick bite. There’s really no atmosphere at all, basically just Mexican music playing and ESPN on the TVs, but I love it here. Check it out.

The best Mexican food in Maple Valley. The salsa is to die for. One of the busers that we really like always gives us a big bowl without us ever having to ask instead of the tiny ones. We put it in everything. The food is fast a tastes great. Great place to take family and friends.

My family had a birthday lunch today and without any of us eating here recently, we picked La Fogata based on reviews. Winner! We came in and were greeted/seated immediately. Our waitress noticed my father with his cane and sat us close to door and got water/chips/drinks going ASAP. She joked around with us and was attentive to us without being bothersome, checking back at the appropriated times and when drinks needed refilled. Owner also stopped by the table to make sure all was ok. Chips tasted fresh and salsas were flavorful and on key. Everyone enjoyed their lunch selections and my sister boxed part of hers, plenty food! Overall a great experience for all 4 of us and we’ll be back.

Excellent food and service. These guys just get it! My wife and I visit on a weekly basis. We bring others from out of town for dinner. I’ve been there by myself, with large groups, when it’s been fairly slow, and when the business has all tables filled and customers lined up. They’re one of the few consistently good dining experiences; you don’t wait for appetizers or beverage refills. They give you time to finish apps before you get your main course. The margaritas are excellent, and I still haven’t had a dish I didn’t like – and I’ve tried most of them, by now. Seriously, when it comes to great food and great service, La Fogata knocks it out of the park. You can’t go wrong. Try the Pollo Chipotle if you like some spice, or try the chicken enchiladas if you want a milder flavor. Also, the noise level isn’t obtrusive for conversations, if you’re going out on a date or bringing folks who are hard of hearing – big plus for my out-of-town family.

This place is so good! Their chips and salsa are great. Food is always delicious. Service is excellent. My entire family meets here for special occasions and it’s as good as our favorite restaurants in Arizona — Macayo’s and Seranos.

I had driven past this place for years and never even noticed it. After reading various Unilocal reviews we decided to check it out. The food was good but nothing over the top wonderful. It had good flavor and quality. The salsa was not very thick but it too had a good flavor. I travel a lot and always try various Mexican places. This was an average meal but not bad in any way. The seating area is small but the staff is nice and we had good service. We will probably go back.

This is another place that I have passed countless times. A friend of mine lives in Four Corners and I can’t get there without passing here. There is a Mexican place next to Shakey’s pizza and it’s less than impressive and for some reason I though this was just another restaurant in that chain. Based on the above, I was reluctant to try this spot. All the talk about the best in Maple Valley did nothing to win my affection. When your main competition is Taco Bell and Taco Time it’s not tough to stand out. Well, not only was this hands down the best Mexican in Maple Valley, it’s one of the best restaurants in the county. For my taste the food was lite on seasoning, but with the help of the salt shaker, this entire meal was well worth the journey to the sticks. On the flip the service was average at best, realistically poor. It wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t good. No one was real friendly and truth be told we half had the impression that our business wasn’t welcome. Doesn’t matter what color you are in my book as long as your paper is green. I was also disappointed that most lunch specials didn’t come with rice and beans. If it doesn’t come with rice and beans, it’s not lunch, it’s ala carte. I’ll go back to sample the dinner menu, but they really need work on service, portions and flavor. It’s the difference between being better and the best.

I am pleasantly surprised on this place and look forward to going back!

This is solid, quality Mexican food. The dinning room has a nice atmosphere and the waitstaff is professional and friendly. There are some real gems on the menu so be adventurous. I’ve never gotten a bad meal in my many visits. Lately though, this has become our go to place when we don’t feel like cooking and want an obnoxiously large, takeout burrito to gorge on in front of the TV. Yum.
