Elite Nails

So I started coming here a year ago and it was in season so they were slammed but now I have a regular nail tech and I know everyone and they know me and my little girl by name I love it they do a great job also they do gel on toes which can be harder to find. I highly recommend coming just make an appointment in season :)

I go here every week. The staff is very friendly. They go out of their way to accommodate all who come to the salon. Dawn and Tim the owners are very hard working people. Clean shop.

I just finished getting a gel manicure here and it is awful! I figured it would be nice to start my vacation off with a manicure but I REALLY wish I didn’t waste the money or the time! This visit was the opposite of relaxing, to say the least.
I walked into the salon and they offered me a seat right away. So far, so good! I sat down and was not acknowledged for 45 minutes. That is absurd. Then, when the woman finally sat with me, she would not stop answering the phone and talking to the women looking for appointments as soon as they walked through the door. I’m not the type to expect my nail tech to only pay attention to me, but at least be respectful! She spent so much time paying attention to everyone else that the nail polish looks like a child did my nails. They aren’t even painted to the ends and the sides aren’t completely painted either. When she was close to done I had asked her why the color looked so different than the one I picked… It was because she painted them the wrong color (but not according to her).
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME COMING HERE. This is set up as a sweat shop for nails, but children would do a better job. It’s all about quantity and absolutely NO QUALITY.
P. s. I’m pretty sure my nail technician had a nail infection. Gross.

I walked into this salon and walked right out! The staff were arrogant and the man at the counter didn’t even have the courtesy to put down his phone when he asked what I needed. Oh and the price for a manicure and pedicure– $ 48?!? Are they crazy?! They must have thought I was a tourist with that price. FYI I spend the large majority of my year in Manhattan and in the poshest neighborhood a manicure & pedicure costs $ 30 max, most places have specials for $ 17 for both. Don’t be fooled this salon is nothing special to warrant the prices they ask.

Love this place. People are always so nice. Clean, clean, clean !

The pedicure felt great, wanted to go back there again, till I saw that they don’t clean behind the jets on the foot bowl. They only spray the bowl after the water drains, but the bacteria lies behind the jets. That’s the important part. My best friend is in the industry and had learned about this in school, how unsafe these things can be, a woman had to be hooked up to an IV for 2 years because she caught something in this same way. Needless to say, something I enjoyed I don’t think I will be doing this anymore. That is the reason for 3 stars instead of 5.

If you can climb trees… it’s time to go to Elite Nails. With so many on the Island, go to a friendly place. Outstanding!
