This is a well run and excellent place for a mani and pedi. My favorites are Brian or Julie but book ahead. This is the only mani that lasts and the gel nails almost three weeks. Brian’s pedi is a luxury deal.
But the hidden gem here is booking Sue for a massage! She is the real deal and better than the Marriott or other pricey spas. She knows how to go deep and gets to your problem areas. I went today feeling so down and stiff and came out a different person. I am traveling tomorrow and I wasn’t sure I could do it but after an hour with Sue I am ready to go. Best I have ever had. Book ahead. She is also busy!
In addition, Alex is amazing with mens hair. Every other place in Marco will give the «military cut» but Alex works with the shape of your head. When we travel and have to cut with someone else my husband always says he needs an «Alex cut!»

Walked right in on a Saturday during the season. Brian did my pedicure and Anna my manicure. It was a quick in and out, no fuss but friendly and quality. I was quite pleased with my last minute decision to stop in and will certainly go back. At $ 45 for both I thought it was very reasonable as well. Thanks Brian and Anna!

I used to go to Julie every two weeks like clockwork. I’m very picky and I will say she does beautiful work. Here’s the problem. She answers the phone every few seconds. When she’s not answering the phone, she makes personal calls while doing my nails. When she’s not on the phone, she’s more interested in who’s coming in the door. Told me she’ll be right back. Thought she had to use the restroom, but turned out she squeezed in an eyebrow wax. While doing my pedi she almost fell off her stool trying to see who was coming in the door. The very last time I went there all I did was walk in the door and she said «I have no time for you now. I’ll make an appt. for you». All I needed was a drop of glue as I was on my way to work. Well now I don’t have time for them.

I am in Marco Island vacationing and needed a manicure. I get a weekly manicure at home. I stopped in Modern Nails. This was the truly the worst manicure I have ever had. The tools that were used were dirty and they used a nail file that was old and way too rough. The polish was dried out and the manicurist did not understand a word I was saying to him. I will never go to this place again and would advise you to look for another salon!

First time in Marco Island for vacation and needed a manicure and pedicure. Chose this salon from reviews and really lucked out. I used Brian who did a great job for me! Very careful, caring, generous with his time and attention and wonderful result. I would go back in a nano second and I recommend you use Brian. Also, the salon itself was a very pleasant place to hang out. Both made for a great combination. Thank you again Brian.

My first time here. Didn’t know this place had a hair salon inside, they need to advertise that more. The sign outside says modern nail and spa but on the window they have 1 sign that says HAIR. Would have never guessed. Anyways, I came in to get a haircut/​trim and color. My hairstylist was Alex and he did a great job! I’m VERY picky with my hair especially with all the horrible times people have chopped it off or colored it wrong. I was nervous at first but I really needed a haircut and color. Alex is a cool guy gave me step by step on how my hair would be cut and colored. In the end it came out really good and very happy! He definitely got rid of the brassy color I had from the Florida sun. If I knew more people in the area I would recommend my friends but since I am new to Florida I figured a Unilocal review would be helpful! Come by and check it out! Ask for Alex!

I have been coming here for eight years. The place is immaculate. The nail techs are all excellent. The service is punctual and friendly. Walk ins are welcomed. It’s located in a little place near a CVS, Beall’s, an Italian restaurant, etc.

I didn’t have a problem with the service I received or the price of the service. But I did have a bad problem with the nail tech that was working on a client next to me. The tech’s was very flustered and bossing everyone around, grabbing and slamming thing acting as if she owned the salon, come to find out she didn’t. She then proceeded to tell her client that «all the walk ins today are bitches». «In fact for the last 2 days all we have had are bitches. Some man came in the day before and was complaining about having to wait and I told him to sit down & chill out or go some other place». That is a direct quote. Certainly I don’t want to go to a salon where this attitude is taken. I have her name began Phi — — Nia. Maybe the owner can have a little customer service training with her.

I am on vacation in Marco and chose this salon from the reviews. I was a walk in for a mani/​pedi and they took me right away. Kevin was a great nail tech. He was efficient, personable and good at his craft. I will definitely return here and recommend him to my friends. Prices were good too.

Best pedicure I have ever gotten. They have wi fi so I brought my computer. Joyclyn (sp?) is the best. Not sure what previous reviewer was talking about. I look forward to this every time I come to Marco.
