Did you ever have a total restaurant experience that screams«Don’t Come Back»? I did… at this restaurant. Immediately sat down at quiet table… excellent. Waited 15 minutes for server… terrible Manager came up to apologize and left… terrible Manager returned holding dirty plate… terrible Manager offers to get us drinks & take order… good Drinks and Food come quickly… very good We were never given utensils nor napkins… terrible Food is drowning in salad dressing… terrible We still have not seen our waiter/server…terrible Manager returns to ask about meal quality… good at this point, I clarified all of the issues. After finishing, we are waiting for the check… terrible(a long, long time) Waiter(1st time seeing/meeting her) offers free desserts(after all this time. No!) It was a slow night, too. This place is usually jammed and loud. This night, it was slow and quiet; which is appealing as it indicated that we would have good service. Incorrect indication! We will not be returning.

It’s a sports bar, although I’m not a big sports fan. We stopped there on the road when we saw the restaurant one night. Good casual dining. I ate there with my date a few weeks ago, loved it. One of my new favorite haunts. I had the Jambalaya– the best I’ve had(I normally have Jamb at Drakes here in Jenkintown but this was even better). My date had the bourbon salmon and she liked that also. If you go, try the cheesecake– it’s GREAT. 2nd best cheesecake I’ve ever eaten, and that’s saying a lot. I thought the prices were fair for what you got, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be back for the Jambalaya & cheesecake, maybe some onion soup too.

Met a friend here for a quick bite before shopping, and was pleasantly surprised. We both ordered the Classic Cheeseburger with sweet potato fries, and it was absolutely delicious! The Burger was perfectly cooked to mid rare, the lettuce, tomato and onion were fresh and crisp, and the bun was lovely! And don’t even get me started on the fries. Yum!

The wait was ridiculous as they had empty tables on a 45 minute wait. The manager Jason came to the front desk to ask if I had a problem with how they did things. Basically tried to bully us. Food was terrible. Luckily Melissa our server was great. Will never step foot in this restaurant again!

Decent sports bar, decent food. Haven’t been here in years. Was always pretty decent, a little pricey for what it is, but all good from what i remember. I had a minute to kill stopped in for a beer, took the bartender a little time to get to me and cash me out but it wasn’t crazy busy, just a tough bar setup for bartender, as the service is opposite the far end of the bar and doesn’t allow a good view of that side. Anyway, I’ll prob check it out again sometime. I know their chicken quesadilla used to be huge and good.

The food was not so bad but the service is horrible. Our waitress messed our beer order up twice, and that was after we had to flag her down and then get her back for the rest of the order. Three folks at our table, she took my order and then walked off leaving my wife and our friend speechless and beverage-less.

Pro: A very well balanced place! The layout and overall feel of Champps is good for a casual date, a family dinner, or a big day of sports games all the same! Over 30 beers can be found on tap if you choose to partake. Moreover, a standard American menu has enough items to satisfy most tastes. Personal favorites include the Bourbon Salmon and the Cranberry Apple Chicken Salad. Con: Expect a little bit of «tough love» from Eagles fans if you’re not one yourself. Bottom Line: Will visit again… on a football Sunday… in my Buccaneers jersey… wish me luck!

CHUMPS Served our soup late then rolled the overcooked burgers out to us almost at the same time AVOIDTHISDISASTER Rolls tasted reheated, burgers smaller than bun, patties seemed frozen, Couldn‘t do a simple med-well request. Not a good burger not a good place avoid from the web: ‘On December 15, 2013, the restaurant chain filed for bankruptcy‘

AMERICANA. SPORTS. TELEVISIONS. CHAMPPS! Coming to Champps Americana on a football Sunday is like having NFL Redzone while on Ecstasy. I’ve been to the bar at Champps for a few Sundays to watch the inept 4 – 7(36%) Eagles struggle their way to make the 63 – 99(39%) Phillies the winningest Philadelphia team of 2015! You’ll find a mixed crowd of Eagles, Giants, Cowboys, Redskins, and even some random Packers fans. Everyone is pretty focused on the 20+ TVs that have every possible game you’d want to see. The prices aren’t cheap for the food or the drinks. The burger prices start at $ 10.50 and just go up from there. They’re good, but for that price, i’d rather go to a diner to get a meal. The football beer«specials» aren’t much better either, with a bud light setting you back $ 3.50. The staff is friendly and they have a clever way of updating your tab with a receipt in an empty glass front of you; that way you can decide to stop or have another beer if you can’t remember how many you had! There’s not really much to set Champps apart from any other sports bar except for it’s VIP program. The way it works is you sign up for free and within 24 hours you’d be eligible for a free burger. On top of that, when you accumulate $ 100 worth of points on your VIP card, you get $ 10 off your next bill. These are great incentives to sway you to come to Champps rather than another generic sports bar. There is also a fantasy football program they have where you bet and compete against the other patrons for cash rewards, although I haven’t done it myself.

I haven’t been to Champps in years, but stopped in late one night with a friend for a glass of pinot and some snacks. The bartender was great and quick. The chip and queso app was awesome. The queso was so delish.

Despite the reviews, this is a fun place with a good vibe. Better than other instances of this chain I’ve been to. The service can be a little slow. Try the«Rosemary chicken» if you’re looking for something healthy.

Meh, what’s the hype about this place? 1) This is good for big groups. You can reserve a room just for your party and there’s a lot of tables and seating so you probably never have to wait to eat here. 2) The waitress we had did not tend to a large party very well. Some of us didn’t get drink refills, some had to flag down the waitress to get refills. My food was mediocre at best. I got a Wedge Salad which was $ 9 and it looked like a side salad. Not okay at all. I also got the Potato Soup and it was watery and not that great. Waste of money. We had the back room reserved for the party and it was freezing cold! They had the air on and all the fans rolling. It made for the dinner to be uncomfortable and I couldn’t wait for it to end. Which is unfortunate because I went to celebrate a good friend’s birthday so I had to suck it up. I won’t be back here. Unless I have to go for an event or forced to go to dinner here.

Meh, nothing really memorable. Nothing actually terrible. Very much what I expected from a chain. I had the chili and some salad with apple in it. Both were edible. I was hungry and after eating these things I was no longer hungry. Neither were anything that I would go there over some other choice. I had some difficulty finding something that looked interesting on the menu. When I couldn’t find something interesting, I looked for something healthy. I thought that there were slim pickings for health options, and slimmer pickings for interesting food.

I read a lot of bad reviews about this place, but I’m not sure why there is s much negative feedback. I ordered the avocado chicken wrap. The bacon was nice and crisp and the avocado was cool and whipped for a smooth finish. The order also came with chips. When I saw that on the menu, I thought it was going to be a bag of those cheap potatoe chips. Oh no. These were fresh cut russet? Potatoes, deep fried and warm at serving. There is a nice outdoor seating and it looks like an ideal spot to watch any sporting events. The service was really good too.

Well Camps you really let me down this time. I have to say it started off bad and got worse. I ordered a PBR and it tasted like it was skunked. I had to order a bottled beer. The waitress also spilled soda all over the menu, laughedand didnt wipe it up. I had to ask her to. Then I ordered chili which was good. My fiancé order potato soup and got french onion. An easy fix. But always sucks when two people can’t eat together. Then came dinner. I ordered the crispy chicken buffalo sandwich. Well it came out as grilled chicken. I mentioned it to the waitress and she started arguing with me that it said grilled. When she got the menu it said crispy. She said that she talked to the manger and they were sorry. But don’t have crispy chicken. Then why advertise it??? Plus the french fries were cold too. My fiancé ordered crispy chicken tacos. They came out as soft shell. The waitress said that she but them in as crispy and was sorry. But she guessed that they don’t have crispy tacos, again more false advertising.
Just a bad experience this time. Everything just seemed to be off. I wish we went somewhere else.

This place is just gross. A group of us met there last Friday night, as it was the most central bar to all of us. I’m not a big fan of this type of establishment, and this trip just solidified my feelings on the chain. The entire building smelled like bleach. The bar stools were sticky and dirty. There were cleaning bins and bins of dirty dishes/glassware left strewn about the place, despite it being 9:30 pm on a Friday. The vodka sodas were weak, the wine was bad, and all of the glassware smelled so gross, that I left my wine untouched after one sip. The bar wasn’t crowded but it will still difficult to flag down a bartender to close our check. Surprised this place hasn’t shut down.

I usually sit at the bar since I’m by myself when I come here. The bar service can be hit or miss. Some of the bartenders can be good and attentive and some can be rude. I’ve noticed that they seem to have a large turnover rate as some of the bartenders I’ve never seen before and the old ones are gone. The main reason I come here is for the large number of TVs for watching sports, the good beer selection, and the good food. There are many viewing areas for watching the game including a large projection screen on the back wall. The beer selection is very good and I heard it from the bartender the other night that they have 88 taps. Most of the food I’ve gotten here has been good. I usually get either the ahi tuna salad or one of the burgers(substituting the garden burger). Both are very good.
