The quality and prices are fair for the ice cream. The atmosphere had charm to it, but my fiancée and I wanted to bring our ice cream over by the ocean. It was a warm night, and they overfilled the containers. We couldn’t eat the ice cream faster than it melted, and it got all over our clothes. Bigger isn’t always better!!! I would have preferred a cup that was appropriate for the serving size so major spills could be avoided. Messiest summer ice cream experience!

My family and I used to visit the scoop rather often several summers ago. Then, they were serving Edys ice cream. Nowadays, with so many ice cream places making their own or getting it from fresh local places (like Gerards with ‘Bliss’ which is made in Attleboro) its tough to go here and pay $ 4 for a chain brand ice cream. I do recall their slushes being really good, though.
Its ok if you’re right in Brant Rock but I much prefer Gerards or Far Fars for really good, fresh ice cream.

This is a good lazy ice cream shop. The ice cream is purchased and not made on the premises. I’m pretty sure it is Hershey’s ice cream. While the ice cream and service are both good… I wish they made their own ice cream like the Duxbury institution, Farfars.
I still go this place with my family for the experience but I wish it was made on the premises.

Cute Brant Rock ice cream shop, perfectly located right near Arthur and Pat’s, The Bailey, Haddad’s, Brant Rock Hop, Venus…
Good ice cream, but sadly, nothing special. Great location, as Brant Rock definitely needs an ice cream shop, being within a stone’s throw of half a dozen restaurants. Just doesn’t taste homemade to me. (I have the gift of a well-​developed palate for homemade confections.)
My little redheaded cupcake always gets pretty excited when we’re headed there, though!

I can’t believe no one has reviewed the Latest Scoop yet! This is a perfect ice cream stop for people visiting and locals in the Fieldston, Ocean Bluff and Brant Rock areas of Marshfield. Within walking distance from my summer home in Ocean Bluff this was a great hot spot that I would walk to as a kid. I still enjoy going there! Always great ice cream during the summer season!
