Fast and friendly service. A little expensive but you get quality food. Try the chimichanga or beef nachos, very tasty!

Awesome food! Their carnitas are amazing! Burritos are awesome &HUGE! Warning… do NOT unwrap prior to eating! You will be eating with a fork & knife because they are big enough that the tortilla alone cannot hold the massive amount of stuffings in your burrito. Nachos, tacos, everything is amazing! WAY better than the over salted Moe’s or Qdoba!

Better burritos here than at Qdoba or anywhere else. Friendly people working as well. I have a card for a free entrée when I purchase ten and I only need 2 more. So I will definitely be coming again soon.

I would like to testify about Guajlllo’s taco salads and chips/salsa. Burritos are too big and heavy for me, so I favor taco salads and Guajillo’s are outstanding. In addition to the standard steak, chicken and ground beef, they offer chile colorado and carnitas, both of which I favor as entrees in full-service places — even better in a salad for lunch. I highly recommend both. And the chicken — marinated in some kind of special goodness — is also very tasty. Roasted vegetables are another option, and they are great on the taco salad or in soft tacos. In most taco salads, you search in a sea of salad for the meat and other goodies. At Guajillo, you will run out of lettuce before goodies. I like them with sour cream, guacamole and salsa, and they also come with a tasty salsa ranch dressing. Guajillo is a «fast casual» restaurant, so you go through a line to choose your meal and ingredients, then pay and sit to eat. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is that the atmosphere is plain. It’s super clean, bright and simple, but it lacks character. The chips are, without question in my mind, the best I’ve had in St. Louis. That is including Mission Taco in the Delmar Loop, whose chips are also very good. Guajillo’s are lighter and still tasty, almost delicate. There are a variety of salsas to choose from; I like the Tomatillo medium best. If you have young kids, Guajillo will feed them for free on Tuesdays, or after 5 p.m. or something… see what the latest special is because it changes. I just wish they were down the street when my son was young. Try this place for a reasonably-priced lunch or dinner. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in the food; just don’t expect too much from the ambiance.

Very expensive. I got the steak nachos and they skimped on the ingredients. I asked for a little more cheese and the guy charged me for it, which is expected, but at least put it in a measured container! The scoop he used was half full. Mediocre food defiantly not worth the price. How is this place in business? They should take some notes from trail head in St. Charles, not even a Mexican place and their nachos are more authentic and loaded for the same price.

Dishonest in pricing, VERY expensive compared to Chipotle or Moes, portions small. They asked if I wanted vegetables and I said yes. They gave a few pieces of Zucchini and yellow squash and charged $ 1.99 for it. Didn’t say it was an extra charge. Food is just OK. Above two mentioned places are FAR better. I see NO reason at all to go to this place when far better choices are available. I’d rather eat at the Taco Bell around the corner and I hate Taco Bell.

The meats are usually cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Everything else was fresh and tastes OK… but It just seems like whatever I get is missing something. As most people mention, they are setup like a moe’s or chipotle. They are normally very fast. And a little pricier than these two. I like the food, and I’ll continue going back.

First time visiting, I ordered a burrito with ground beef. What they gave me was HUGE! I don’t visit Moe’s or Chipotle often so maybe this is the expected size, but I was just really surprised by how much they stuffed into it. The burrito itself was decent, but the sauce leaked everywhere and the meat tasted a little bland. By no means do I dislike this place(I’ll be heading back again soon since it’s right down the road), but since I ordered mine to-go, a handful of napkins in the bag would have been perfect.

Similar to Moe’s, or Chipotle, this place is set up like a tex-mex version of Subway. The dude working the counter, was very nice and eager to please. However, the food was just ok. The pork in their ‘special’ burrito was way too salty. The salsas were just ok… a little watery. Value was good. Plenty of food for $ 15. All in all, I wouldn’t say stay away. But realize you are going to be served ingredients out of holding pans. Nothings all that fresh or hot. Obviously, they do well to satisfy most people. Almost everyone that came in the door while we were there was a repeat customer and knew the workers behind the counter. As a nice touch, kids eat free after 4pm.

Yummy. And I was called ‘señorita’. I had the nachos which were chips, queso, black beans, fajita vegetables, lettuce, guacamole, shredded cheese, pico and jalapenos. It was very, very good. I had gotten it to go but I noticed the chips were of the thin variety(not complainin’) so I ate in the car in the parking lot because I am pretty sure it would have been a sloppy(albeit delicious) mess by the time I made it back to work. I enjoyed it very much. The service was nice, the prices are reasonable and the food was good. I will be back, I’m sure. Only negative: this persnickety señorita wishes they served Coke instead of Pepsi.

I’ve been back here many times since my original review and I really like it. It is a great place for lunch. I always get the naked veggie burrito. The cilantro rice is still awesome, and the zucchini and squash as part of the veggie ingredients are sooo good. PLUS, they have wifi. which might sound like yeah whatever, but there aren’t a lot of places in this area that provide free Wifi, believe it or not. I mean it’s Maryland Heights, not your typical urban young professional/student urban epicenter. I’ve come in here during the weekends when I was taking classes on Saturdays to use the Wifi to catch up on work. Also I’ve seen other social media people lunch working here, so it’s pretty cool they offer it. Today GMG was packed, but the line moves really fast. The people working there are always very nice. See you later lunch workers!

I love this place; I crave it several times a month. If I’m feeling a calorie-splurge, I’ll get the chile colorado tacos. Chile colorado is their roasted pork that’s simmered in a super flavorful chile sauce. It’s not spicy, per se, just exploding with flavor. The first time I got it in tacos, I asked the preparer what he would put on them. He recommended cheese, guac, and pico de gallo, so not as to cover the flavor of the sauce. DELICOUS. I always order them this way. Occasionally the pork is more chewy than I would prefer, but generally speaking it’s just right. It’s an extra charge to get guac on items it’s not listed for, but it’s worth it. You get three tacos with an order, and typically I can barely finish them. For a lighter day, I’ll get a grilled chicken fajita burrito, and skip on the rice. I sub black beans instead. I’m just not a rice burrito person. The flavors on this one are amazing, too. The sauteed peppers and onions are spicy and flavorful, and the chicken has that delicious authentic grill taste. The burrito is giant, but the flavors are fresh and light. The chips are great, too, with the right amount of salt and lime, and are light and crispy. My partner often gets the vegetarian entrees, which come with roasted and seasoned zucchini and yellow squash instead of whichever meat. Equally delicious.

Apparently, my last review got filtered out. So here I am again. The emphasis here is on flavor. Any time you have the holy trinity of tomatoes, lime, and cilantro, you have the potential for something amazing. The authentic flavor of the seasonings is for the true foodie. Without any pomp or frills, Guajillo delivers quality at a price that is decent. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for!

I am a huge fan of burrito places. Even bigger fan of independent burrito places. The people ahve always been friendly here and everything is clean. This was the first time that I got a naked burrito here. Over the winter they had lunch specials, like a quesadilla and soup and I think that’s what I usually got. The naked burrito was as big as the plate. I couldn’t eat it all, but it was really good! The chicken wasn’t too dry and the guacamole was pretty good also. Highly reccomend!

The high quality and incredible tastes I Unilocaled about previously were just not there this past visit. I don’t want to lose my credibility, so I“m reducing my rating. It’s a little pricey for food that’s not *always* all that special.

Guajillo is my fave Tex Mex place! I am in heart with the steak nachos. The steak is flavorful and seasoned, the cheese is spicy, and the homemade pico is yummers! The food is fresh, the place is always neat and clean and the staff is always ready to please! Can you tell I’m a fan? They serve the food on actual china plates, not some paper fare that you will see in other establishments! And they have free wi-fi! For bloggers like me who are always on the go and working on projects, I can tap into to their wi-fi, eat my nachos, and just relax. If you are in the area and you don’t visit Guajillo, you deserve a spanking. It’s great food at great prices. I LOVE it!

I am a huge burrito fan and didn’t expect much from Guajillo. I mean come on, it’s in a strip mall next to Quizno’s and across Dorsett from McDonald’s. Moving back to STL in Maryland Heights, this soon became my go to quick dinner option. I have been to this place probably twenty times and can give it two thumbs up, this place is good!

Guajillo Mexican Grill is yet another restaurant to add to the ever growing list of Mexican style burrito, taco and quesadilla bars. This new type of fast Tex-Mex is growing in popularity with«staples» such as Chipotle, Moe’s and Qdoba. Guajillo has yet to master their fast Tex-Mex offerings. My friend ordered a bare burrito, basically a burrito minus the tortilla. It was served to him cold. Cold rice, cold chicken, cold beans. Not appealing. I had better luck. I got a chicken queasily which I would classify just as bland. The chicken had some flavor but could have used more cheese. The best part of the meal was their chips and salsa. The testates had a good flavor with a hint of lime. The salsa, although runny, still had a nice kick.
