There customers service is terrible, I waited for 10 minutes to be seated, that should have been a sign. I waited for another 10 minutes, waiting for a server to greet me, 5 more minutes and I left. I guess they don’t want my money or business. I will not be returning.

Second visit to this restaurant. First visit was without incident but this visit determined no return visit. Arrived at noon today, a Sunday. Not very busy and seated immediately. Took about 10 minutes to get our 4 drinks. 5 minutes for a refill. 30 minutes for our food to arrive… luke warm. Apologies from the waitress and the manager. Half price on two items was the manager’s resolution. Seriously. Very disappointed all the way around.

Yuck. Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. I got the Pot Roast with mashed potatoes and broccoli and my father got the Burger with Mushrooms and Brie. First of all, for the price you get hardly anything. My father was not impressed with his Burger and actually had to take the cheese off because it was so hard and gross. My pot roast was 40% fat and 60% salt. I had one bite and pretty much chucked that up as a loss. I never thought you could mess up mashed potatoes until today. What a terrible experience. I will never, ever go back to waste my money or time again.

New to the area, chose to try their breakfast! Delicious food! The pumpkin muffin was so fresh! The service was great and the food came out in reasonable time! I would recommend this place! I overheard another woman across the way tell the waiter how impressed she was as well.

Mimi’s used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but alas no more. Our most recent visit was very disappointing. Service was slow. It looked like two waiters were covering the whole place for dinner service. But the real problem was the quality of the food. All of the entrées were extremely salty. My steak was dry and tough. Approximately 20% of it was gristle. The french fries were cold, soggy, and greasy. The only good thing on the entire order was the corn chowder. On the plus side, when we let the manager know about the issues, she took the time to listen. She reduced our final bill by about 60% and sent us home with two pretty good muffins. But it’s sad they had to do that.

Atrociously bad service at breakfast. Mimi’s opens at 7 am and gets a reasonable amount of traffic in the mornings. They have one overworked waitress who covers the whole place. She also seems to be responsible for getting things started in the back, too(i.e., it’s not her fault). The food is fine. The atmosphere is fine. The under staffing, which has been going on for some time, kills the place as a breakfast option, unless you have over an hour to wait. Unfortunate. Used to be a good place to go.

It’s the Applebee’s or Ruby Tuesday version of a French bistro with solid croissants, chicken crepes, and quiches, among the standard burgers, salads, and sandwiches. The breakfast menu is also available all day, which I am a fan of. The staff here are very friendly and the prices are reasonable. Overall, a good fast lunch option in Mason with solid baked goods.

Fun and friendly. We liked the unique dinner menu. The food was above average. Could see adding this place to our list of quick, casual dining options.

Came here with my wife for Friday breakfast and got a seat immediately. The host took our drink orders and came out with a well-made cappuccino which is served in a wide white ceramic mug. Unfortunately, no waiter or waitress came to take our order for about 10 minutes, and I finally made eye contact with a waitress who then took our order. She did seem surprised and apologetic that no one had taken our order yet so there must have been a miscommunication. I ordered the croissant, egg and bacon sandwich and my wife got the ham and cheese crêpes. Both were savory and satisfying dishes, which is what breakfast is all about! At the end of our visit the waitress apologized again for how long we waited and gave us out requested to-go muffins for free! This was an unexpected but much appreciated gesture by Mimi’s, and because of this we are likely to come back again.

We enjoy having brunch at Mimi’s. Mimosas are really good and I’ve been trying out the different meals. The farmhouse tacos were great and hoping the orange cream french toast is just as good, if not better!

Pretty bad experience. The omelet was overcooked(eggs should never be browned) and the potatoes were undercooked. The orange french toast was super underwhelming and looked like it was out of a frozen box. The banana nut pancakes were pretty good just didn’t taste of banana at all. The only good part was the server. «Scott» on the receipt was amiable and genuinely seemed to care. Edited to lower from 2 stars to 1. I had a blueberry muffin to go. It was the saddest blueberry-less muffin ever. I’m posting a photo of the inside.

ever since Bob Evan’s got their paws on this chain, it has been all down hill. What a shame!

Zero stars. Had reservations, but arrived slightly early. Even though there were 12 empty tables, they refused to seat is until the exact time of our reservation. We basically waited 26 minutes for a table that we could see was empty when we walked in. It was then another 63 minutes until our food arrived. Although some of the food was good, this visit was nothing short of disappointing and frustrating! Easter dinner had nothing to do with the delay… There were empty tables and not overwhelmingly busy and Amanda the hostess/manager(?) was rude and unfriendly! The hair in my food didn’t add much flavor and my sons grilled cheese sandwich with un-melted cheese were not very good either! Hardly worth the money spent on this dinner! In fact if they had offered me a free dinner to come back again, I would have refused!

So. it’s Sunday morning @ 915 I make a suggestion to Mimi’s our breakfast destination. I haven’t been there in almost a year and I remember now why It took me so long to come back. This place is far from anything special! Basic breakfast food. However, the wait for eggs, pancakes, waffles and bacon is special. Now is about 1015 and four out of the five of us have food. Houston we have a problem! You would think these clowns would be trying to reinvent the wheel. This place should start advertising «Now serving Breakslow» There is nothing fast about breakfast here. Thanks for the free muffins! I wish I could of spoke to a manager but I don’t think one was there. No love on the bill either. Thanks for ruining the most important meal of the day.

My sister and I decided to grab brunch here one Sunday morning. We arrived around 11am and were seated almost immediately(**YAY**). I started with a cappuccino which was served in a large cup and made perfectly. Our waitress also provided a glass of water without any prompting. My sister ordered the apple bacon waffles which were 3 mini waffles topped with syrup, green apple slices, and bacon pieces. They were very yummy. They also came with eggs and a breakfast meat. I ordered the eggs and bacon which came with breakfast potatoes and(my choice sourdough) toast. I also indulged in a sunrise mimosa. You know«Treat yo’ self». The breakout star of this breakfast are the totally amazing breakfast potatoes. These things are truly delicious and perfectly seasoned. Yum, Yum, Yum. A super brunch joint.

Have not been to this location before. Same Mimi’s as everywhere else. Was there for a birthday breakfast with my sister. Don’t bother to ask for the«Chef’s Choice» quiche. The Chef does not choose. There are two: vegetarian and non-vegetarian. If you don’t pick, your server has to. «Chef’s Choice» Bah humbug.

This is a chain that I’m typically a fan of, but on my last visit to this location the service just seemed to be off the mark. Tables weren’t properly set, our server forgot to bring our bread, we had to ask twice for water. Just generally disorganized, and they weren’t terribly busy. That’s part of the reason we went there. I don’t understand why this place isn’t more popular. Bd’s Mongolian had a forty minute wait, while this place a block or two down the street, had open tables left and right. I’ve always had really good food here, particularly their desserts, and the five dollar glasses of wine anytime can be a great deal.

Mimi’s offers a wide variety of dishes from breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and dessert. From traditional go to combos like soup and salad to quiche Mimi’s does a good job of offering upscale twists of traditional menu items with a little bit of fancy schmancy thrown in for good measure. Today I have a salad and sandwich combo. The salad was a petite spinach salad with a turkey club and fries. The salad was light and refreshing and was tossed in a just slightly sweet vinagrette. The club was straight forward but hit the spot. A cup of fruit was offered in place of fries for anyone looking for healthier menu options. The prices may have been a little more than what I would have liked but it was consistent with other bars and grilles in the area. Everything seemed clean and maintained well so I didn’t really mind paying slightly more than at a competing restaurant. The décor is beautiful and definitely displays the French influence they are aiming for. The restaurant area has a few different sections and can host lots of people. They offer a full bar with about six to eight stools in that area as well. Mimi’s does offer catering and has private areas that can be reserved for special engagements. I did notice the bar area did have one lone tv. There may have been a second that didn’t catch my eye. There are no other tv’s that I am aware of in the restaurant so this would not be a good option for sporting events. The service was adequate. We arrived later in the lunch hour and they weren’t busy. Our food came out quickly and was prepared accurately. I’d recommend Mimi’s for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. The bar area is nice but is quite small so it doesn’t make an ideal happy hour place unless you are fine with sitting at a traditional dinner table or booth instead of a high top.

My very first visit to Mimi’s Café, but definitely not my last. The greeter was pleasant and we were seated right away. Ambiance is a little bit of France and a little bit of Louisiana, quite nice. I went with my family for my 18th birthday. For dinner I had the Coq au Vin, which is a chicken dish served in red wine with peal onions and mushrooms with mashed potatoes and topped with peas. The meat was very tender, very reminiscent of a steak, and surprisingly easy to cut. It was truly something special. Dessert was the true winner, however. It came by way of a Triple Chocolate Brownie Sundae, and it did not disappoint. It really was an impeccable assemble of triple chocolate brownie topped with smooth vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate. Wholly decadent and truly gorgeous. The best dessert I’ve ever had out of any restaurant, easily. Our lady server was very, very friendly, charming, and charismatic, which added to the overall experience. She also made me smile and laugh, which is always nice, and I really enjoyed that. She truly went beyond the call of duty to make sure my family and I felt at home. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit here, and I definitely hope to be back again soon.
