Look Optical

I work in Natick and live even further from Look Optical. Yet, it’s the only place I’ll visit for my contacts and glasses. Alex (the owner) is a genuinely good person. He cares about his craft and takes every effort to make your experience enjoyable.
I’m always busy so reaching him by email is ideal. He never upsells me on anything which I couldn’t be more thankful for. I’m not a fan of salespeople pushing things on me. It’s a pleasant, straight forward and informative experience. I would highly recommend trying the place out for yourself!

I HIGHLY reccomend going here for your glasses. I’m 22 and had to get my first pair ever, and was having a really hard time at all the usual stores (lens crafters, target, etc) finding anything that I liked on my face. Alex was super friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and happy with the glasses I chose from his selection. All of the glasses in here are unique. Some of them have very intricate and artistc frame designs, and most are extremely light weight materials. There are no Ray Bans or Coach (etc) brands here, but there are a bunch of styles similar to those classic looks that in my opinion actually look nicer. For example, there was one frame I really liked that was a classic Ray Ban wayfarer style but the frame was a thin titanium matte black instead of bulky plastic. (And he also had them in a few other colors.) Alex also has his own collection of glasses that he designed himself which I love. The glasses I bought (after being stuck between 4 of his frames that I really liked) came from his line. Alex was the most genuine salesman I’ve ever shopped from, and I felt absolutely no pressure to buy anything which was really nice. He really wanted me to be happy with how I looked and to do everything he could to help me achieve that, and at the end of the day when I finally came back and settled on a frame, they weren’t even that expensive at all. They were actually remarkably cheaper than ones I had looked at in LensCrafters and at my family eye doctor. So seriously, go here, try on the glasses for yourself, walk around the store and you’ll get the same wonderful expierence as I had the several times I went in to try on more glasses and ask questions until I made up my indecisive and picky mind. (Added bonus, Alex has a wall in the store which he uses as a mini gallery to display local artists’ work which is super cool.)

Now wearing my second pair of glasses from Alex at Look. Always a great experience. I love the fact that I can stop in an get my glasses adjusted or sometimes repaired if needed.
My new pair took a little longer than I expected but the quality and workmanship is worth it! I also got the same price as the pair I bought three years ago.

I have had more positive consumer experiences here than any retailer. Alex, who owns this establishment, is great on so many levels: technically, personally, and fashionably. He suggested a new type of bifocal contact lens for me that corrects astigmatism and painstakingly fit me. The correction is terrific. Who would have guessed?
The selection of frames — fashionable frames — is so huge that this dedicated contact lens wearer actually chooses to wear glasses sometimes! When my crazed canine ate my beloved pair of glasses Alex was able to quickly recreate them for me. I get lots of compliments on the unique frames I have bought at #LOOKOptical.
I have found the prices very fair and the service exceptional. Break out of the big box optical stores and treat yourself to eyeglass fun. Really. It is fun. Who woulda thought?

Alex the owner thoughtfully fitted me with eyeglasses that are fashionable, flattering and comfortable to wear for many hours of computer use. Alex listened and took precise notes about my lifestyle in relation to my vision, such as the distance I sat from my computer monitor and the places I would be wearing my new eyeglasses the most frequently. Dr. Elkind also did a very gentle eye exam. I get frequent compliments on my eyeglasses and have often referred new customers to this business.
