Stopped in here for a quick beer in this hot Mcallan weather. Service was super good, staff was very friendly and liked both salsas and beans served with chips. Plan to come back here for a meal before I leave, as dishes on the table looked really good. Menu is extensive.

Beans and corn tortillas were the best! Fajitas were ok and the salsa was good – red one is medium to hot and green one is mild to medium – depending on how much hot stuff you eat. Rice was ok. Service was great! Price a little high but the art in this place was fantastic!

The service was excellent and so was the food. We had the 5 Cazuelas and it was enough for two. The mango chamoy margarita was delicious. We can’t wait to come back and try something else, I’m sure we won’t be disappointed.

Went to this place with my coworkers. I got the posole since I had been craving it. The flavor was so good! So many spices and the tortillas were even better. The music was great. A couple of time we had to stop eating since we were singing along with the band. It was packed when we got there but our waitress was quick and attentative, always bringing us fresh drinks when we were running low. Lol.

We had a great time here. The molcajete norteño was delicious and it easily feeds 3. The margarita was great. I liked the decoration with all the jokes… and finally, our waitress was wonderful.

OMG! My coworker had been bragging about this place… so my friend and I went… not so good, the food had no flavor whatsoever… for the price, my friend thought we could have had better tasting food at a much lower price… Needless to say we won’t be returning…

Live fajitas, tortillas were good, sides were ok(rice and beans), and service was ok. Kind of pricey.

Food was great. We ordered a parrillada for 6. It was happy hour so the margaritas were only $ 3 each. Beers were $ 2.50. Live music on Friday, maybe other days. Food is more Mexican than tex mex, maybe that is why there are some bad reviews. This is our second time here and we love it! We’ll definitely be back!

The food and drinks were good, but not worth the very long wait. Our main course arrived before our appetizers and drinks. Service was sloppy, waiters were inattentive. We had to wave waiters down to order. Also they couldn’t figure out how to split our check so there was a long wait period before we could leave. :(

Bland food and not so great service. Waiter was not helpful whatsoever. Good live music. No beer on tap and they were out of common beers such as Modelo Especial. Definitely won’t go back.

Food is good but not great. Service is not great so that’s why I give it a 2 star. I had to ask for my chips and salsa. Total of 8 times. Believe me, I counted. I’ve been here twice and that has been my experiences there. Music is also waaaay too loud.

Had chicken and it was really dry and terribly seasoned. Rice was over cooked and unseasoned. Beans well they tasted like ranch style beans out of a can. It is really over priced and crowed.

Stopped here for lunch during the Outdoor Writers Association of America annual conference in McAllen. Absolutely loved the place! Had Molcajetes Manchamanteles — chicken fajitas with onion, chile, cheese and avocado served in a stone bowl filled with boiling-hot sauce. Service was prompt and friendly. Definitely wish we had a restaurant like this in Detroit!

I had a totally adequate meal here and a perfectly lovely time. Our service was crazy attentive and the drinks were awesome(possibly boosting my food rating). The queso fundido was tasty as was my Veracruz fish. We were disappointed there was no al carbon or mole, but the food we ordered was all pretty good. Mariachis and then a cover band playing Latin rock — we shut it down!

My wife and I traveled to McAllen… From California… during Christmas vacation… We were here on more than one occasion during our stay… On our first visit the food was awesome!!!, we had the molcajete… the ingredients were fresh and service was prompt… Our second visit we met up with a group of cousins… Late and close to closing time… but the crew welcomed us… Kept up the Texas hospitality even after closing time… Made for a very memorable occasion… With familia… Over all this place is very good food, drinks and hospitality… BTW… The tequila selection is awesome!!!

Food is ok but service is terrible. Don’t come with a party of more than 6, the wait staff will ignore you with a guaranteed tip. So disappointed.

This place is OK at best. The food is traditional Mexican but with some weird mix which makes it a real hit or miss. Their Lemonade is good but the serving size is small and they offer no refills. This place is definitely meant to cater to the shoppers that would much rather walk to a eatery than have to drive.

Worst Mexican food in the valley. Could not eat the food, smelled rancid. The health department needs to shut this place down.

Great parrillada, the salsas are amazing and fresh handmade tortillas are to die for.
