Was in the mood for some pasta and decided to visit. Had great customer service and the food was very scrumptious! Started off with the macaroni bites appetizer and shared the Mama’s Trio– which includes chicken parmesan, lasagna bolognese, & fettuccine alfredo. Nice ambiance and friendly waiters. If you’re in the mood for pasta, this is definitely the place to visit!

Great food. Very nice service and the olive oil with bread is delicious. The ambiance with Italian music is a very relaxing atmosphere to enjoy your food.

We decided to do the«Create your own pasta». Our server was fantastic! We got the complimentary bread with olive oil, and the manhattan clam chowder as an appetizer. I thought everything tasted really good except the ricotta meatballs in my pasta. I ate everything and just put the meatballs aside, thinking nothing of it, but my server came and asked if everything was okay. I explained to him that I thought the meatballs were terrible, but everything else was great. When the check arrived, it was delivered by a manager, named Daniel. He said, «Sir, I heard you didn’t like our meatballs, so I apologize and will take it off your check». Totally didn’t expect that because maybe my expectations are so low in the Valley. When we left, he was there to open the door for us to leave, thanking us for dining there. How cool is that?! My wife and I really appreciated the service and food at Macaroni Grill and will definitely come back!

We went here today and although I don’t like pasta I have to say the food was amazing. We had the $ 10 special which included a Caesar salad, fried cheese appetizer, and a bacon spinach fettucini. Bread and olive oil was to die for. Our waitress Maira was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place.

I don’t understand why there are so many negative reviews. I went for the first time and I was impressed Excellent food with fast and friendly service. I will definitely be returning.

Food was good we ordered the lobster ravioli and buffalo chicken parm, it’s not the best ever but also not as bad as some of the reviews mention. Our server Danny did an amazing job being very attentive, no complaints.

Good flavor, large portions but lazy service. So next time you come to Macaroni you better take your time and be patient

I went yesterday &it was HORRIBLE. Being the first customers, my family and I expected the food to be nice and fresh. The shrimp was really hard to chew and had no flavor. actually NOTHING had flavor. We had to add a lot of cheese, oil, salt, and pepper to our pasta. The only thing I liked was the bread they give to eat while you wait for your food. The bill was $ 90 for four people. Not worth it.

Not as good as it used to be. The food was greasy. Service slow – cocktails undrinkable. Waiter said there was no bartender.

Meh. I’ve been here maybe 8 – 10 times in the past couple of years. Always a good experience. After my most recent visit, a couple of weeks ago, I don’t think I’ll be back. Both food and cocktails mediocre at best. I think the food and service has deteriorated recently. Sad.

I always enjoy the Macaroni Grill. I often get the eggplant parmesan, which is very good. I also recommend the tilipia. Yesterday my husband got Mama’s Trio, which comes with great lasagna, chicken parm, & cannelloni. Enough for three meals. Service is usually good. The atmosphere is too big & barny.

So I am down in the Valley, where apparently, the majority of the food here is Mexican. That’s all good, I suppose, except for the fact that I am visiting someone that doesn’t like Mexican food. And that is how we ended up here at Romano’s Macaroni Grill. I went to the Mac Grill up in Round Rock last August because I had a gift card burning a hole in my wallet. Didn’t get a chance to use it due to waitstaff not interested in waiting on my table. So here it is just short of a year later… and 300 or so miles away from Round Rock, and the above mentioned gift card was STILL burning a hole in my wallet. So off we went in search of the restaurant that had a menu that still looked pretty darn tasty(although what I had originally wanted seemed to have been booted from the menu). Anyway, the McAllen location is in a nice looking shopping center near the convention center. Everything here looks new and shiny! :-D We were promptly seated by the hostess and our waiter came over right away. We both ordered the Center-Cut Lamb Spiedini, which was delicious grilled lamb(nice and rare in the middle!!) on skewers and a mix of grilled veggies… red and yellow peppers, zucchini, eggplant, red onions, and a couple potato wedges… all doused in olive oil and lots of rosemary. It was really quite good! So normally, I am a fan of a more authentic Italian restaurant… something you don’t find much of in Texas, but for a chain, this was pretty good. My only complaint was our waiter. I had such high hopes when he came right away after we were seated. But, alas, it turns out that he is the kind of waiter that drops the food off and comes back at the end for his tip. He pretty much ignored us through out the meal, not once asking if things were good. *sigh* But the rosemary lamb was soooo scrumptious that I’ll over look that fact :-)
