Kiki’s Restaurant Familiar

Five stars! This place was amazing w the best carne asada I’ve had in a very long time plus the potions are huge! Their Salsa is super hot and their tortillas are homemade — Tiny corn tortillas and ginormous flour tortillas– so be HANGRY when you go there. We had nachos (big enough for 4), rib plate, carne plate, tacos and a baked potato. There were 14 of us for under $ 100 — and we had leftovers– lol. Oh, and the staff is SUPER NICE! Thanks new Amigos!

In town for work, saw good reviews on this place so I wanted to check it out. I speak very little Spanish but there were pictures I pointed to, I still don’t know what I ordered but it was delicious. You get amazing salsa, guacamole, chips, and beans before you even get your meal so I was very full and satisfied. Loved the piña agua fresca as well :-)

The fajitas are very tasty. Quesadillas are delicious. I really like the prices. Service is great. Make sure you tip the waiters, ive noticed most dont tip

Ive had my share of Fajitas in the valley and this place is very good! Did i mention very cheap?!
Alhambre is a must try and goes great with Melon Aguas Frescas.
The parrilladas for 4 can feed atleast 6 ppl !

Fantastic authentic Mexican food; none of this chipotle grill kinda stuff. Walked in at 3pm on a Saturday and there was nowhere to sit since the place was so packed. The fajitas were great, the aguas frescos were great. Will definitely be coming back here again and again

It’s, ok, we where expecting a little bit more variety, the baked potatoes are real good.

Work has me in McAllen for a night. It’s not a city I know well so I ask the hotel desk clerk «what’s good to eat around here?» His response? «Tony Romas»
Now I realize that either he has been drinking or he gets paid to direct me there. Or maybe I just made him angry and that is his way to get even. Either way, I am on my own to find a good meal tonight so I check Unilocal.
This place got great reviews and Mexican food sounded good so I figured I would try it. I’m very glad that I did.
I got some combination fajitas. Wow, they were incredible. The meat was so flavorful and tender. Truly great food. I wish they had larger tortillas and perhaps some sweet tea, but the food is certainly good enough for me to drink a lemonade and still be happy.
If I am in McAllen again, I will definitely eat here.

Ate at Kiki’s last night while visiting McAllen on business. Ho. Lee. Crap. Deliciousness is el Rey at this place. The tacos al pastor knocked my socks off and beat the pants off of the pretty good ones at Palenque. The beans were killer as well. The Aguas frescas were great. Horchata for the win. I’ll be back next time I’m in town for sure.

This place is very good, it was suggested by my girlfriend (she lived in Brownsville), and as soon as they built one in McAllen, I gave it a try. Kikis nachos are fantastic, they come with avocado, fajita, and white cheese and are delicious, I recommend it. On my subsequent visits I tried the Alambriza, which is a mélange of beef meat, thick cut bacon, peppers and onions, it also comes with fresh corn tortillas. If you are eating as a group, do yourself a favor and try this, it is very inexpensive and very good. The charro beans are great too, as well as the green chile, pretty hot, but very good. The only thing that wasn’t that great was the pico de gallo, it tasted like it had been just sitting in the fridge, but that was just one out of the many times I have gone there, all of the other times it has tasted fresh. Give it a try if you are in the area.

Great Fajitas. Its definitely a place to splurge on red meat and aguas frescas. Highly recommended.

BOMBA FAJITAS! These guys give Taco Palenque a run for their money, and are way cheaper. The tortillas are maseca, and homemade. I’ve been here twice, and both times were great. Keep up the good work!
