Best steak ever. Fun peanuts, good salads. We were very happy with the great service. Would certainly go back.

This place was a major disappointment, a few days earlier I dined at the Texas Roadhouse in Austin Texas and I had a great experience. So when I came down to visit family and we had a craving for Chicken Fried Chicken or their Country Chicken we decided on this place. I had a great experience at one so why not. . At first I was happy with the nice host and but then they took us to a small section right behind the host stand. When we arrived at our table we were surprised to see a dirty table. We were then told to wait so a bus boy can come clean it while the table to the right was clean and not occupied. We then asked to sit there and were told no at first cause that sat 6 and we were only four. We then told the girl it was fine we will just sit at the 6 top. After that a server came by and seemed nice. She came by w/o bringing silverware or the dinner rolls. She took our drink order and left spoke to another table, she then went off for about 5 minutes then returned with the rolls. I asked her for silverware she said she would get some and left again about 5 minutes later she returned with our drinks and I once again asked for silverware so I can put butter on the rolls that were now getting cold cause they had been sitting for 10 minutes. She sighed or huffed and said okay she would get them and left the table. Again she left for 5 minutes in this time she visited a table near us and saw that we had three empty drinks at our table. She took their order and shortly brought our silverware. When she dropped the silverware she did not acknowledge the empty drink, she just dropped them off and walked away. By this point it had been 20 minutes since we were sat that we received silverware and still waiting on her to take our order. About 5 minutes after that I asked a host if she could take our order. The server then came acted all sweet like she was good at her job asking if she could take our order and still did not acknowledge the empty drinks. A few minutes later she brought one drink I repeat one of the three people’s empty drinks and walked away. At this point I was extream frustrated and when I saw her standing and chatting with a coworker I got up took her my empty glass asked for a refill and get the manager. Shortly after doing this the manager came spoke with me and the rest of the evening was better. The food itself was mediocre and the country gravy tasted funny. I only tipped this girl 15% which is only because I am in the industry and would feel horrible leaving a bad tip. She did not earn that 15% that was a pity tip. She could have doubled that had she been a better server. I will not name her but she knows who she is. We were there Wednesday 10/28/2015 at around 7pm. We sat behind the host stand and you gave us horrible service when you gave us service at all.

I know, it’s a chain. But when one has steak on the mind and one does not have a fortune to spend on it, this is a nice place to go. Good choice of sides. Tasty meat. And rolls. And the peanuts are just plain fun. This location is rather close to our home, so that is a plus for us. My main complaint is that it is often quite noisy. Really noisy. Lots of TV’s with sports things going as well. I enjoy the country music; it fits the atmosphere perfectly. But it is rather loud.

For a chain I think this place is great. The fresh bread is nice and I typically order at the bar as no wait if you eat up there. I like the Steak filet medallions and as so much food appetizers unneeded.

I’ve been here twice lately. This is an average of those two visits. The first visit was good. My sirloin steak was delicious and cooked perfectly. The service was above average. My son’s(age 10) kid’s meal was a bit disappointing, there were about 4 tiny cubes of steak, he’s not a big eater but this portion was very small. They sat us in a small room with lots of screaming babies so that was not ideal but since the food quality and service was great I just dealt with it. Now onto last night’s visit with hubby, such a disappointment. No straws, she forgot to come back, then no salt, then the cook charred our supposed medium-well steaks to oblivion. We sent them back and received one bleeding steak and one well done but not burned steak. Afterwards we noticed someone near us returned their steak 3 times. Obviously that cook needs some more training. Later when the girl waitresses were dancing, a man at the bar was degradingly staring down one of the young ladies in shorts. I feel sorry for the women working there.

Ordered take-out. Some of the order was good, some was just ok, but service was awful. Such a different experience from any Texas Roadhouse I’ve visited in other parts of the country. Truly ditsy servers/staff uninterested in providing a desirable, pleasant experience.

Great service, great food, great everything! The fried pickles are my favorite by far, the bread is heavenly, and the steaks are always cooked to perfection! Love this place

Okay I need to make this clear. Now I’ve been to some pretty good steak houses. Shulas Steak House in Miami, Knife, Salt Grass, various Argentinian steak houses, and Bar American(yes THAT Bar American. Bobby Flays restaurant) in NYC, but Texas Roadhouse is my #1. Okay okay, actually my #2. Balthazar in NYC is actually my #1, but I won’t hold it against you Texas Roadhouse. On my first visit, the customer service was outstanding. Both the hostess and server were very polite and just exuded a happiness that we were there. Whether it was fake or not, they made us feel welcome and comfortable. My fiancé and I ordered their fried chicken critters. They were delicious and very satisfying, especially since we had a hankering for good fried chicken. The breading was very very crispy. Just how I like it. The breading also did not slide off the chicken. I hate it when a restaurant doesn’t use a proper frying method when frying chicken. One mistake in the coating or frying process and the fried chicken is almost ruined. You never have to worry about the coating sliding off here. They got their frying game down packed. On our second visit, the service was slower, but they were packed and all the servers were very much in the weeds. Having worked in 3 different restaurants myself, I could empathize and did not become irritated. I decided to order The 12oz NY Strip, medium, smothered with caramelized onions and brown gravy. When my steak came it was cooked a little below medium but not fully medium rare. Actually I wouldn’t have minded medium rare anyways. The cook on the steak was absolute PERFECTION! I mean it was textbook perfect. The look of the reddish pink center was like something you’d see on Master Chef. My steak was«eyes rolling to the back of your head» delicious. Oh and the brown gravy just made it positively orgasmic. One of the best steaks I’ve had. Considering this is a chain restaurant, I have been pleasantly surprised each time I go. Texas Roadhouse will definitely be a regular stop for me and my fiancé.

Disappointed. The bread and cinnamon butter was great. But the steak was not that great. I had the porterhouse asked that it be cooked medium rare but it came medium. It was not tender and despite my request to watch the salt and spices, everything was covered in salt, literally. Ate as much as I could and ended up chucking the rest of it. Honestly outback makes a better steak.

I’m not a huge fan of chain restaurants in general, but Texas Roadhouse is one that I frequent. It’s noisy and crowded and the service can be hit or miss, but the food is consistently good, the prices are pretty reasonable and they have call-ahead seating which is awesome. Love the steaks. The seasoning is perfect and they usually do a pretty good job of cooking it as ordered(medium rare: rawr). Love the chili, the chicken, the salads, the onion blossom, the green beans, the bread, the butter and the peanuts. Heck, pretty much everything’s good. However, I’m not too keen on the fried pickles nor jalapeño poppers and about half the time the ribs are overcooked. They are delicious when they’re not charred. We’ll be back. If you like to gamble, then order the ribs. Otherwise, try the steak.

Late post… came here last week. We wanted to try Texas style steak so we Unilocaled for Steakhouse and found the great reviews for this place and decided to hive it a try. We were seated right away but our drinks did not come right away. Our server seems to be very forgetful but thankfully his good sense of humor makes up for this. My husband ordered the 20oz Ribeye($ 21.99) with seasoned rice and sweet corn. The meat was cooked to perfection(he got medium well) and enjoyed every bit of it. The seasoned rice was too salty but the corn was good. My sister ordered the combination plate with 10oz Ribeye + Ribs($ 18.99) with seasoned rice and sweet corn. She enjoyed her food as well except for the seasoned rice. My son ordered the Pulled Pork + Ribs($ 14.99) with steak fries and loaded sweet potato. He also loved his food except our server forgot to bring his sweet potato until after he finished majoriry of his food. I ordered the combination plate of 10oz Ribeye + Ribs($ 18.99) with chili and sweet corn. Everything I got was delish! The meat was cooked to perfection and the chili was amazing. One of the best I’ve had in a long time. We also ordered the Cactus Blossom which is actually onion rings and that was amazing! I hate onion but this one I truly enjoyed. The warm, soft bread they give with the flavored butter was pretty good too. Our overall food experience was phenomenal. Will definitely return here. Highly recommend this place. One star deduction was due to our server’s forgetfulness and a little slow on service.

We shared a 23 oz Porterhouse and it was cooked to perfection. We also shared ribs and they were great as usual. Kids love the peanuts and the bread and usually eat only ½ their kids meals. Sometimes wait is a little long but it was well worth. I do advise to never go within an hour of closing as all the wait staff will focus on its getting out the door.

What is there to say about this place but DELICIOUS!!! I have never been Disappointed here. Sure, we’ve been brought the wrong drink or had an error in dressing ordered for a salad BUT they have always immediately corrected the error without an issue! The steaks are cooked to order very well and their other entrees are equally delicious. The bread served is sweet and hot. Highly recommend it and wish they had earlier lunch hours during the week(they open after 3 pm: M-F)!

Service and food were amazing! This place is better than logans & long horns. I had a combo plate with a sirloin and BBQ ribs. It was all amazing! The bread that they bring out is freshly out if the oven and it’s delicious! Will definitely go back! Meal for two was only $ 40
