I’ve been to O’Malley’s quite a few times and the service is always impeccable. Adam and Vinny are always very attentive and make great recommendations for food and beer. Great bar to watch a game and great game day specials. I highly recommend this place if you are staying in the Tysons area. My favorite is the Bistro Burger.

Vinnie and Adam are awesome. Been staying at hotel all week on business, and they both provide outstanding service that keeps me coming back. Being in the service industry: that goes a long way. Food is good, but service is 5 stars for sure.

Pricey hotel-bar/restaurant. Not much to say other than average food, decent beer selection and noisy. Nothing says«come back tomorrow» but nothing says«don’t come back» either. They were out of Guinness while I was there — some sort of vendor mix up. The words that come to mind are loud, overpriced, average quality. Go if you want. Or don’t. You won’t miss out on anything that you can’t get elsewhere.

Not very Irish. I went there with my bro. Figured we are in a Irish pub, might as well order Irish fish and chips and Shepherds Pie. The Fish and Chips sat in the fryer grease too long. Fish and chips were soggy with grease. The Shepherds pie was ok. But not worth the cost. All said it is a pretty nice place to grab a drink and watch a game but they can’t cook. Just get drinks and maybe appetizers. I left there feeling I was ripped off.

The service at this place is what gets me each time. I’ve been here 3 times now and the bartenders are always engaging and fast. It’s a much different experience than you’d expect from a bar in a hotel. Recently, my company went here for a happy hour after a big meeting and we got the food, which was very good as well. But I can’t get over how quick, attentive, and fun the staff is. I don’t remember his name, but there was a bartender one night when a friend and I were out drinking who was suggesting all different kinds of cocktails for us to try, and they were all awesome, and we also had a great conversation with him — very engaging. At the recent happy hour, I was impressed that the bartender(I think her name was Julie) saw that I had just finished my drink from about 20 feet away, gestured to me and mouthed«another drink?» and when I confirmed she had it ready right quick. Impressive that she remembered what I had, especially since there were 30 people there. Don’t let the fact that it’s in the Crowne Plaza fool you. This is a solid bar in Tysons and I’d rather go here than Fridays or Paddy Barrys.

My wife and I were staying in the area and exploring DC for the weekend. We saw a movie at the Center earlier that evening and were looking for a relatively inexpensive place to eat afterwards. Didn’t realize it was a hotel bar until we got there. My wife got a really good local cider, and I tried the red ale… both were great. I ordered a burger and my wife got the quesadilla. Everything was delicious and very filling. NCAA tournament games were on so we got to watch a little March Madness as well. Overall great experience; would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quick bite and good drinks.

I’ve been here a few times before but tonight was exceptionally great in comparison to my awful experiences with another bar close by. My boyfriend and I came here tonight after not being served at the place around the corner and were immediately greeted and helped which was such a relief! We found ourselves a table off to the side of the bar where the live band was playing and ordered some beers and nachos. The nachos were incredible… YUM! Exactly what I was craving. We had not just one, but two very nice servers and we left full and happy. Since it was cold tonight I didn’t get a chance to enjoy my favorite part of the bar which is the outdoor couches, but I’ll surely be back once the weather warms up!

I’ve been to O’Malley’s on several occasions since I stayed at the Crown Plaza for a total of 28 days last year. I would call it a solid 3 star place that serves decent food and drink. My favorite meal was definitely the Shroom N’ Onion burger. I ordered it medium rare and it came out perfectly. A very juicy and flavorful burger that I’d recommend any day. My second favorite was the Smoke Lightning sandwich — they seemed to have changed the ingredients recently however, so take that recommendation with a grain of salt. O’Malley’s also makes very good hand cut fries and I have enjoyed some nice Chardonnay on a couple of occasions. Their take on fish on chips is not bad, but could use a bit of improvement. I loved that they serve the fish without a thick batter and the first few bites were very enjoyable, but the fish pieces turned really salty then. Could have been a one-off thing though. The one thing I did not like at all: The quesadilla I’ve actually had it twice and both times it was made with some processed cheese slices which tasted horrible. There were also peas and corn inside the quesadilla pieces which I hated. Definitely the weirdest tasting quesadilla I’ve ever had. The service is usually friendly and efficient. Since O’Malley’s is located in a business hotel, they are used to lone diners and I didn’t get any weird looks when I came by myself which I appreciated. If my company puts has me stay at the Crowne Plaza again on future visits, this pub will see me again.

We were here during a snow storm staying at the Crown Plaza. My husband and I came down to eat dinner and the place looked like a mess. I guess they were understaffed which we get because of the snow. They were out of a lot of things so we end up ordering the buffalo wings which were not bad and really spicy. I ordered the burger because they were out of fish and chips at an Irish pub … Ok? It was gross. It made me sick to my stomach. We got French fries along with it for an extra $ 1.50 and I guess I know why they charge extra. They pile those on and we couldn’t finish them … They were okay. I will never go back there again. I tried their beer and it was sooo watered down it tasted like faucet water. The service wasn’t reflected on our experience because we understand why they were understaffed but the food was just bad.

Good Service, especially since it was VERY busy when we arrived, and only one waitress was working the floor! The food was good– we had the pesto pasta and the quesadilla. Large portions and the ingredients tasted very fresh. Great pub atmosphere– especially for an irish pub connected to a hotel. Only downside was that they did not serve any kind of vegetarian burger– which is a shame since they nicely labeled other vegetarian options– and offering a veggie substitution patty doesn’t seem like too much trouble.

If you’re looking for low-key sports bar, this is the best I’ve found in the Tyson’s Corner area. The only con is it’s a little pricey. Everything else is great. TV’s all over(including at the booths). Parking. Excellent service. Decent food. Clean.

This place is consistently busy, with a mix of locals and hotelers. Its a no frills bar with a «irish» theme. I am not sure why it stays busy. The service is kind of a mishmash of people coming and going. All seem to know now one another and have a good rapport behind the bar. Food is very slow to come though. The bar is super noisy, so hard to hear and hard to share a correct order. My wings came out well done, like I asked, but with no sauce(hot wings with no sauce are not hot wings). It is also hotel expensive. next time I walk down to bennigans. Won’t be back. UPDATE: they put a surcharge(tip) on my bill for a party of 1 at the bar, without disclosing. I didn’t notice until was reconciling my bill. One, I think that is illegal. and two, that is low class. I have notified their management.

Bf was stranded in highway/suburbia hell while I was at a conference in a nearby hotel. He went exploring and found O’Malley’s — an «Irish» pub in, you guessed it, a hotel. When I met up with him he had been there for well over a few hours sipping beers and watching TV. The bartender didn’t seem to mind he’d been hanging out all afternoon, so that was nice. Overall this is a basic bar with some okay draughts, TVs, a bar-food menu and indoor/outdoor seating. We tried the Spinach Artichoke dip with pita wedges and it was pretty good. There wasn’t much of an un-fried selection. We had some beers from a local(ish) brewery and those were good as well. Ambiance is lacking a bit but if you’re looking for a place to grab some beers, this’ll do.

This place is not good. Service is extremely slow and lacking charisma. The food is basic pub food mediocre at best. I was skeptical on even trying steak given that it’s an «Irish» place; I tried the bangers and mash. So simple to get right yet not here. The sad age was cook fantastic… That’s where it ended. No flavor, they put chips in the mash… Chips… Who wants potatoes on potatoes… The gravy… Watered down. I got the chicken tenders as an app… Came right out if the bag… Beer sections… Basic. I like craft… They had none. To top everything off… Dessert failed me. I love dessert… Why would you ruin it? Apple dumpling with vanilla ice cream. They pealed and cored and apple, wrapped it in dumping dough and baked it. Apple was still hard and not sweet… Why not cut it into thin slices… Mix it with butter, brown sugar and cinnamon then add it… Soo sad going to bed tonight Summary Don’t go here expecting anything other than beer and plain apps you can get from a bag at Costco.

The fish and chips were ok, but not beer battered as claimed. The Shamus Burger they didn’t seem to know how to make. It came out as a cheeseburger first, then a cheeseburger with corned beef, no thousand island or slaw to be seen. Upside was that it was not crowded and you got your own tv. Service was ok. Really, ok experience. Just not great food so I won’t return.

Ten beers on tap are mostly macro brews like Guinness and Sam, but O’Malley’s also offers a house-brand amber and that night a Star Hill pilsner from Virginia. All drafts are a buck off during happy hour 4−7pm. Friendly table service and lots of seats, you can even find a spot outside in decent weather. Food is fairly typical American-Irish, something for everybody. Vegetarian rating is 2 stars for the two choices, a penne veg combo and an avocado sammich, plus some salads. This is the hotel bar for the Crowne Plaza, typical in that it’s pretty anonymous & corporate, but 3 stars for the wide selection of tap beers. They treated us fine and sure didn’t gouge us, definitely A-OK.

Here my review broken down. Friday at 11:00am going for lunch. Check out this place. I was the first seated inside the restaurant other siting outside. The waiter was helpful, funny, great service, aim to place. I give that five stars. I order the steak, mushroom, cheese, mayonnaise and spicy mustard. Tortilla, sour cream, salsa and melted cheese. But I got my sandwich but with bean sprout. it was ok until midway and didn’t like it. Tortilla was good. As alway the soda was mix right. give it 2 ½ stars. 12:00pm noon time people started walking and he got some more help. Then the service when down the drain. After waiting for the waiter and waiting and got my iPad mini the write I am ready. They was ringing my bill and watch a elderly lady almost trip on a uneven floor. The flooring move up and down when stepping on it. But hotel management doing something. I like the first person. But I my not what to come back here again. Or until new worker take over.
