Authentic, Friendly, Irish libations. I had the Reuben Boxty(highly recommend), my wife had the Eggs Special. Our plates were empty by the end. She also had a Mimosa, and I had the Irish Coffee. The service was outstanding. Friendly and light. This was a perfect Sunday Brunch for Valentines Day!

Food is great(especially the pot pie and burgers)! Ingredients are fresh and they have live music on Saturdays. Servers and owner are friendly and accommodating. Must try for casual and relaxing dinner in Tysons. This place is a hidden gem.

Awful first time experience. Came on a Monday night around 8 pm and no one was there. I guess the manager was having dinner with a few friends at a table in the front and came over after he saw us stand there. Our waitress Jackie came over right after and she was nice. So we ordered the social platter which consisted of sausage rolls, reuben bites and potato chips. It was plain and a bit bland. Waste of $ 15. So as most waiters would do, they would come back to check on the table right? Ask hows the food or even ask if we would like to order entrees. Nope, we didn’t see her for about 10 minutes after we were done eating everything. And now we took the first couple minutes to look at entrees but no sight of Jackie. Might I add we were the ONLY table in there besides the manager’s table with his friends. Then 15 minutes goes by and now I’m like forget it I don’t even want to wait anymore I want to leave. I guess the manager saw that we were sitting there for a while looking around and asked how we were doing. I asked for the check. Well Jackie comes back and throws the check on the table and we don’t even get a thank you, have a good night, see you guys soon, thanks for coming or even a simple bye. Throws it down and leaves. Wow thanks for your hospitality Jackie!!! I want to come back and try it again since theres good reviews but maybe I should come back when they are busy so they remember they have tables to serve. I mean 1 table isn’t hard to remember is it? Well for Jackie it was.

We have always received excellent service and the food is great. From just two, to 6 celebrating special occasions, to our party of 12 in their private room, we love this place and recommend it to friends!

Went here for brunch on a Sunday morning with a groupon and it completely blew my expectations out of the water. The service was fun and friendly. The Irish owner/manager even stopped by to ask how everything was in the middle of the meal. Our server was really nice and had great food recommendations for us. Everything we ordered was amazing. The sausage roll appetizers were delicious… I highly recommend. My sister got the standard egg breakfast and I went with the traditional Irish breakfast. Both were excellent. I especially loved the black pudding. My sister HIGHLY recommends the Irish coffee. It wasn’t too sweet and had an applaudable amount of the good stuff in it. Honestly I would come again without the groupon — five stars !

The vibe is everything you can ask for in an Irish Pub. Good music, great menu, service and environment. Id come back any time I’m in the area.

Food was average quality(very salty) and very overpriced for the amount of food — we ordered the beef stew and we paid around $ 13 for a portion that was appetizer size. We ordered takeout/delivery and upon receipt we called to complain about the portioning-to-price issue and were told that«this is the size we serve for dine-in.» The customer service was poor — we were never apologized to nor were there any efforts made to compensate our disappointment in lack of quality and unprofessionalism. So, we will not eat there again and do not recommend. Very disappointed.

We had a wonderful birthday dinner for our first time at this establishment. We learned of them via Viva Vienna, and as my maiden name is McGonagle from Boson area! I was surprised when I ordered Harp beer and she said she did not have any, turns out it was a language barrier? The Boston accent gets them every time! The Shepards pie was perfection, perfect comfort food from my childhood! My husband had the fish and chips, he is picky about such things, and enjoyed them very much. Next time, I will get the chicken pot pie and apple blueberry crumble for dessert… With the Brie wheel as an appetizer! The portion size is good, and the Irish musician was a lot of fun! I definitely recommend Paddy Barry’s!

I went to Paddy Barry’s for their 1 year Anniversary with co-workers and friends. I had the privilege of meeting Ireland native and owner, Brendan Barry(Paddy Barry himself!). He was very hospitable and gives an air of authenticity to the pub. I enjoyed talking to him and the rest of the staff were pleasant, helpful, and happy to be there(always a plus in my book). I tried the Reuben Bites, Brie, and Shepherd’s pie. It was my first time trying one, ever, and it was delicious! It’s a nice neighborhood place to go and enjoy with friends anytime. I enjoyed it and hope to return!

The food quality unfortunately outweighs all the positives here. I just haven’t enjoyed any of the food I’ve tried, finding the flavors to be unbalanced and the dishes overly oily. Beyond that though, Paddy Barry’s is a nice, bright, small-ish pub. The menu covers standard Irish pub fare in the US and not much more. The prices are decent, but range widely — the appetizers s seemed a bit high, many of the main courses seemed a bit low, and the beers covered a decent swath of pricing. The drinks list seems to have a few unique cocktails, which is nice. The staff is friendly, although service seems to be up or down, depending on the waitperson. The pub quiz is entertaining. And there’s plentiful parking in the underground garage. If the food was better, I’d look forward to coming here regularly.

After I get out of my car after a 4 hour drive the first place I walk into to relax was thins wonderful Irish pub. I was all mumbles and confusion because the city I’m from is soooo different. Expecting to feel like an annoyance, because I’m just sitting down for a couple of drinks and I’m just asking all these darn questions about parking and where I should sit, the staff was super warm and friendly. I was very caught off guard by the wonderful hospitality. A plus, the merlo was excellent ;)

Ordinary food, great environment. Croûton on the salad is very special and delicious. Waitress was nice.

I always sit at the bar here, and the bar tender is always very nice and gives great, attentive service. I’ve had their dessert– the bread pudding is great! It’s definitely one of the better Irish pubs I’ve been too. Food is good, drinks are well made, and service is great. The inner décor is also very nice. I love the oak. The location is off to the side of Tyson’s mall, and can be missed. I wish more people would come here. It’s a great addition to the Tyson’s area!

Nice selection of authentic and tasty Irish food here. Parking is decent in a covered garage(and they say they’ll give a token so parking would be free during the week and the lunch rush). Service was very friendly and even brought us a bag full of Irish tourism promoting brochures. There was a big banner near the rear entrance to the restaurant highlighting the same company, so it wouldn’t surprise me if that weren’t another business by the same owner. We had a little bit of a lot of stuff – I can highly recommend the layered potato, cheddar, and bacon bake. It’s like homemade(non-greasy!) potato chips with all those toppings and came in a large pile that was fun to share. Hubs reported that the calamari were tender and well done, and I enjoyed my Guiness Brie wheel. My one nit was that the appetizers were almost as expensive as the main dishes. For our main meal, hubs had the Reuben Boxty and I had the traditional corned beef and cabbage. These were more in line with my price expectations and definitely worth a repeat visit. Maybe next time we won’t wait until we’re starving before we go and thus avoid the over-ordering trap… :D

I was extremely excited to try out Paddy Barry’s because there were so many reviews praising the food. On top of that, it’s right around the corner from where I live, and Wednesday is trivia night, so I was hoping to make this my weekly spot to grab a beer, load up on potatoes and fatty cured meats, and have some fun playing trivia with friends. But unfortunately bad food, dirty glassware, and poor beer selection does not a good corner bar make. The food here is downright terrible. We’ve been here twice and tried a couple things, hoping the first time was a fluke(and because the trivia is fun!). The fish and chips, which should be a signature dish at a place like this, was absolutely awful! The fries were fine, but the fishstick size and shape(meaning extra cheap pieces that can’t be sold as anything else) pieces were coated in thick, spongy batter that tasted strongly of cinnamon for some reason and wasn’t crispy at all. The shepherds pie was completely bland and flavorless. The only thing we tried that I would order again would be the boxty – and frankly the fun trivia might be enough to keep us coming back now that we know the pitfalls of the menu. But I can’t in good conscience recommend any go here for the food. Drinkwise, they have all the standard beers you’d expect, like Guinness and Harp. Not a ton of selection, and mostly stuff that just doesn’t interest me. The prices are pretty fair for Tysons. But they also need to clean their glassware better. It’s extremely obvious when you pull a Guinness into a dirty glass as the foam sticks to all the dirty spots. Every pint I’ve had was full of bubbly streaks.

Great service, great menu options and a great atmosphere. Leaning towards a 5… We came in for lunch today and we’re really impressed. We ordered the calamari, shepherds pie, boxty Reuben, and chicken salad on a kaiser. We were all pleased with our choices. The entrée portions were generous and the prices were compatible if not better than other establishments in the area. The corned beef was lean and just perfect! Everything was as flavorful as Irish food can be and not overcooked. We didn’t get a chance to sample the beers but will definitely be coming back to try more menu options as well as drinks! I guess we will come back on one of their live music nights. There are limited spaces in front and free parking in the garage. Make sure to get a parking token… Otherwise it’s $ 3.

A nice quiet pub that tries to emulate that of a pub in Dublin. The pub was quite low key on a weeknight and a little disappointing. My friend and I had a few beers and shared calamari. The calamari fell short but we were hungry. I got a smithwick and something seemed a little off because it didn’t taste like it normally does.

Popped in here for an early dinner due to the great Unilocal reviews and we were not led astray! The chicken wings totally hit the spot. They were large with plenty of meat and not overcooked. Way too many places up here cook their wings too long and ruin them. Could have been a meal on their own. The shepherd’s pie was the right call. Couldn’t stop myself and ended up housing the whole thing. Not even embarrassed. Left full and happy. The service was on point as well. Our server was friendly and ready with the recommendation. Drinks never got past half-empty. Thanks for the heads up Unilocal

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this place. We were looking for a restaurant or bar in the area to watch one of the college basketball games and stumbled upon this place. It doesn’t look like much from out front, but it’s really great inside. There are a couple of parking spaces out front, but the majority of the available parking is inside the garage around the corner. Once we went in, there wasn’t a sign or employee near the entrance, and we had to go looking for someone to figure out if we could just sit down or had to be seated. We found this really nice, older man with an Irish accent, who told us that we could pick a table. Once we sat down, the service was wonderful. There are tvs up on the walls practically everywhere, which is nice because no matter where you sit, you will be able to watch a game. I really enjoyed the live Irish music that they had playing. He was really good. They have Harp on tap — yay! The menu has some great Irish dishes. We both ended up getting the corned beef and cabbage plate. It was delicious! It’s also a decent sized plate and I was pretty full when I left. This was a really great place and I would come back here again. It’s definitely a hidden gem.
