Nice Restaurant with Good Lighting inside and probably the best view of the Mississippi River in Memphis. The menu is a little short with not to many options that’s why I give it a 4 instead of 5. but However the Quality of the food they have on the menu make up for the little selection. The Catfish Hoagie is very delicious as well as the fried Pickles and Sausage and cheese Plate. Very good appetizers that are so Big in Portion they could substitute for the main course of your meal and every time I have been it has been a Great Experience. Very Nice manager along with nice and cool staff that just seem happy you are there and like to Just see how your doing and Talk to you a little bit and also, with my experiences being there the service was pretty fast ! One of my favorite restaurants even though I have only been there 3 times. Not necessarily cheap but Not expensive either in my opinion Fair Pricing !

Best view of the river in Memphis! This is a great place to get a cold, locally brewed beer and some delicious southern sandwiches and entrees riverside. The menu is simple but creative, with ample samplings of pimento cheese, and the prices are affordable. I thoroughly enjoyed the grilled pimento cheese with smoked bacon and a Ghost River Ale. The view and location can’t be beat. Highly recommended!

A great view of the River. I am underwhelmed by the menu. Fun trivia nite on Thursdays 6 – 8. The service was slow even though we were only having Drinks. I hope they step it up, too nice of a facility and the city spent waaayy too much building for this.

Had drinks inside and watched the sun set on the river. The bartender Robbie was great, the beers on tap were local and tasty, and it was an all around awesome time.

HORRIBLE place. Went in the manager said 15 minute wait. Ordered and waited OVER an hour and still no food. Asked for the manager and she has the audacity to yell at us and say they’re busy.

We went there to have some drinks, apps and sandwiches. Our server(Jarian) took our drink order then never refilled our iced tea for over an hour. He also put in our appetizers wrong so it took about 45 minutes to get apps to the table. We ended up canceling the meals and asked for the bill(at least 4 times). When he gave me the bill, and what he charged my card were different numbers! I was really pissed but at this point we were running really late(since it took an hour to get 2 apps and 1 drink). The restaurant was about third of the way full and other servers seemed to know what they were doing. If you come here and get assigned to a server named Jarian, skinny black guy with big smile, be prepared to wait forever for you food, be ignored for 20+ minutes at a time, and somehow have your bill modified after its presented to you.

It took an hour and a half to serve us. In the meantime, they ran out of catfish, pork tenderloin, shrimp, and potatoes. Then, they ran out of grilled chicken. Out of seven tables, not a single one had food on the table. One of the tables complained which was received by a highly vocal manager yelling– we heard everything clearly from across the room. When our food finally arrived, we were notified they were out of yet another dish. We were informed when everyone was half way through their meal. The food itself was sub par, didn’t come according to the menu(bologna sandwich with toast and no pimento cheese, fried green tomatoes with no remoulade, Etc) Glasses were dirty, server was nice but slow(he was new). Doors were locked before closing time, and this is probably because they were out of food.

Servers were all nice! Food was good. I enjoyed laughing and joking with all the waiters and waitress. My 7yr old sons club sandwich looked awesome and he said it was. My catfish sandwich was great! Great atmosphere. I plan on returning next weekend with a friend!

When we arrived the place was mostly empty, maybe 3 or 4 parties seated around 2pm on Mother’s Day. We figured we had really lucked out but we should have realized we were in trouble when we had to wait for 10 minutes for any attention from a hostess. We(a group of 5) were told to sit down and wait to be seated, which could take«20 – 25 minutes». we ended up just taking one of the many empty tables. I could understand if this happened due to short staffing but there were 4 waiters/waitresses standing around doing nothing. They claimed to have a large party on the other side, which was about 9 people, 14 people shouldn’t shut down a restaurant. Food was good but the wait made it not worth it whatsoever. Nice view, ok food, the worst service ever

The place was nice, the view was nice, the food was nice but the service was TERRIBLE!!! Our server Eurikka was the worse I have ever encounter. My boyfriend and I went there for the first time. It took her 10 minutes to come with our water we ordered then she took our order. We say there and waited and she never came back to check on us. There was a guy that walked to us and checked on us, we told him we are waiting on our food so he took upon himself to get our food and making sure everything was ok. When we got our ticket, we gave him a big tip and left. We came back the next day for Mothers Day. Eurikka was our server again and again she took ten minutes to get our drinks. We placed our order and waited 1 ½ for our food! We ordered an appetizer, salad, and fried catfish. She never came back for our refills, we waited so long that the ice melted in our drinks! We also purchased tickets to get on the boat before we got there. We thought eating two hours ahead would be a good idea not knowing that we had to wait 1 ½ to get our food. My boyfriend had to go find her and asked her where is our food. She said it will be right out. When we finally got our food, we didn’t have time to eat. We got our food boxed up and had to go to the boat before we miss it! I will report her to the manager cause her service was very poor. I would give this place a 5 star if the service wasn’t so bad.

Amazing Riverside brunch today with wonderful Chicken and Sausage Gumbo and a tasty grilled chicken sandwich. Little ones running around the patio and having a great time watching the towboats go by.

This is far and away the best place to catch a cocktail and watch the sunset. The bartender, Melanie, makes a mean martini. This is the best way to experience the river up close and personal. Highly recommended.

Beautiful views, great staff. I attended the Memphis Flyer Best of Memphis Party here and enjoyed the pleasant, friendly bar managers and staff handling the huge crowd. I think the Riverfront Bar & Grill will quickly become a favorite spot for people to grab a drink and watch the sunset. Will definitely be back.

I am glad the waterfront now has something like this so people don’t have to make a hike up to Beale to grab a bite if they want to stay down by the river. The food is reasonably priced with items mostly under $ 11. Drinks are from $ 4 – 6. Large indoor space overlooking the Mighty Mississippi and large patio with lots of seating that is covered. I fathom the patio area will be open some days in December considering Memphis does have the occasional 70° degree day. If you feel so inclined, you can buy miscellaneous junk from the gift shop. Anything from pirate hats or key chains with a Memphis logo on it to a $ 119 real fur coat that was ‘Made in China’. Way to go on keeping it local… It works. I don’t know if it will survive for a huge long time, but for the sake of the city that put all the money into rejuvenating the waterfront and making it more green friendly, I hope it lasts.

Stopped by during a bike ride for a beer… Great pit stop, although the draft beers are pricey at $ 7. I guess that’s what you pay for the view. Word is they’ll be having a brunch and happy hour soon!

I stopped in after sunset on a Thursday to take in the riverfront view and ambiance. The best thing about BSL was Robbie, a staff member. There is great potential for this space, but the lighting was so harsh, it drowned out the beauty of the Mississippi River and the mosquitoes sent us back inside. The menu prices are very reasonable, but be prepared to pay for parking(you can get a small discount by validating your parking ticket inside the restaurant). Keeping my fingers crossed on this one! I will definitely try BSL again because Robbie was so professional. Perhaps, I will add more stars, if BSL irons out the wrinkles. #Yelp901

We went to the newly opened City owned Riverfront Bar & Grill on Monday, July 21, 2014. The Good part is that it has a bartender who really tries hard to please, and I have the heard the same report from others. The view is fantastic and underscores once again the curiosity that Memphis on the Mississippi has no riverfront restaurants or bars to speak of with the exception of the River Inn. All others have failed over the years. The Bad: First, it costs $ 5.00 to get in. That’s for parking your car, so better walk. Second, the wait staff when I was there was pathetic. We sat on the deck where there was no service. Several, like 8, tables were loaded with empty beer bottles and cigarette butts and left abandoned. One other couple was there. They left when they finished their one drink. Apparently, they weren’t asked if they wanted another. We went straight to the bar and got a beer and a ginger ale. There is no wine or liquor as of yet. The whole time we sat on the open air deck one waitress came out and cleaned one table. I recommend that you give it a little time. Maybe it will still be there, maybe it won’t. Considering how the City has ruined Riverside Drive in that area, I wouldn’t get my hopes up. The 2 stars are for the view and the bartender.
