This place is a lot less sketchy than it looks on the outside. I was actually pleasantly surprised the first time I entered Tiger Bookstore. It’s location puts it smack between the train tracks and the road, which don’t run directly parallel to each other, thus creating an oddly shaped building. From the outside, it looks like a janky little mom and pop bookstore. Then you walk in a it’s like a wormhole! Whole different atmosphere! The place is HUGE! There is so much to choose from, including every fraternity and sorority’s gear that the University houses, as well as University gear and attire ranging from hoodies to shirts to jackets to rings to license plate covers. Place is insane. The textbook bookstore portion of the store is pretty lame. It’s set up really poorly in comparison to the rest of the store. Too many textbooks in too small of a space. Given the amount of space they dedicate to clothing and University gear, I think this is a bit of an oversight on the university’s part. Not much room to move in there. As far as pricing goes, of course you can get everything in that store cheaper elsewhere… but that takes the fun out of shopping around and finding neat things! Give the bookstore a shot… it’s pretty fun to poke around!

My blood bleeds Tiger Blue! Well, okay, so I’m really a University of Wisconsin Badger Alum, but when in Memphis! This was a great spot for me to pick up some nice Blouvenirs(if you will) so my family and friends can show their Tiger Spirit! Get all things Tiger here, including tees, hats, onesies, magnets, mugs, license plate covers and anything you can think of, really. They do a textbook buyback here as well. Staff is super helpful and friendly, and found the correct size for a shirt I wanted in the storeroom. Nice! Next time March Madness comes around, I shall be ready!

Duh dun da duh dun dun dun da– Go Tigers Go! I’m a University of Memphis alum and I bleed Tiger blue. The basketball season is so exciting and I’m a sucker for the Liberty Bowl games on cool, fall nights. So while I no longer need textbooks, I still visit Tiger Book Store frequently to see what’s new in the way of Tiger merchandise. You’ll find just about everything– cell phone cases, keychains, earrings, pennants, mugs, t-shirts, blankets and more. I got my little girls adorable little Tiger cheerleader outfits(they double as Halloween costumes, moms) and t-shirts for myself and my husband. Final Four t-shirts to be exact. don’t get me started. we got robbed. I also love to shop for friends here because the gifts always say that I was a little more thoughtful than the usual Target gift card this year. Who wouldn’t want Tiger memorabilia(keep it down, UT fans)? They also have a little section dedicated to fraternity and sorority merchandise. Prices can be kind of high, but when you want to find the perfect item to show your Tiger spirit, you’ll find it here.
