Only used my room for a few hours and just for sleeping and showering, checking in after midnight and heading out early the next morning. Front desk person was friendly and check in went quickly(which is not always the case when checking in late). Property was very quiet and the room was fine. A bit dated in appearance, but clean and comfortable. The free breakfast had enough different items available, from cereal and yogurt to a limited hot selection. My very limited experience was fine and I would certainly give it a try for a more extended stay.

Wonderful place. Clean rooms with comfy bed. Really friendly staff and is very quite at night. If you can stay in one of the vintage rooms complete with four poster beds and log cabin walls. I will definitely stay here next time I’m in town to visit family.

My wife and I recently stayed with at the Baymont Inn– Mequon, Wi. This Hotel is fantastic. When we walked in we were greeted by a Mr. Patel who could not do enough for us. He even called once we were in the room to make sure eveything was to our liking! He also check with us at check out to make sure our stay was fine. The rooms are big, clean and the hot breakfast was great. The pool is huge and right at the edge of the driveway there is a wonderful restaurant inside a 100 year old house. Great food and wonderful atmosphere! All and all our, stay was such a pleasure. The Baymont is very luck to have a man like Mr. Patel running the inn. A++++

DONOTSTAYHERE! Made a reservation for my husband’s birthday for a Monday night stay in the Asian Suite Rm #114. Checked in late so decided to try dual tub in AM. Bed was old and hubby & I woke up with back aches; thus needing to loosen up lower back muscles even more. I went to get free breakfast but being 9am(closed at 10am) the eggs were cold & like powder pellets and all«Continental forms of eating» we’re cold & like rocks. Biz man also inspecting things said. «Well I guess I’m getting breakfast on the road.» Is worse than military powder food. Back to room– Husband ran water in tub but then noticed dirt on sides. Drained tub(which took 2 + hours — thus delaying our departure) and began to wipe tub down with towels and wash cloth. Brown + black dirt & hair came up! Trying to be undeterred to begin his birthday on a sour note & satisfied he’d cleaned it enough to bathe, he turned on the jets. Now black mold & sandy debris floated in the water.(Took pictures to prove this too) Living only 15 minutes away, we decided to shower at home and check out.(Husband very disappointed & down) Staff & Reporting problem– Disgusted and concerned about bed, drain & tub, I reported it to front desk. She admitted to knowing about the bed, paid little mind to my advice that she have maintenance run bleach through full tub to rid it if mold and get the drain check by professional plumber. When I asked her if she would at least provide a credit for the inconvenience and charge me only for standard room since a special day for my husband’s birthday, her idea was to basically cover the tax which was barely 10%. How disappointing for hotel that we’ve used since my sister’s wedding over 20 years ago be mismanaged and go into ruin.

Giving them a 2 to be polite as the stay wasn’t awful but still disappointing. The Best Western Mequon, while has some serious character, lacked something to be desired. It might be a nice hotel for passing through, but I don’t recommend this hotel if you are looking for clean and modern comfort for an extended stay. The styling in the rooms is either straight out of the 80s or a tacky German hotel. The cleaning staff didn’t do a thorough enough job– there was rice on the ground near the mini fridge(probably from a previous guest’s stay) and dirt underneath the beds. They didn’t change the sheets once in the 3 nights of our stay or pick up the trash. There were 4 of us staying in the room(2 queen beds) yet they only replenished 3 sets of towels in the bathroom(even after we asked for an additional set). The linens on the bed were thin and need updating. Same goes with the stained and overly worn in furniture. They hadn’t cut the grass out front of the hotel or seemed to have done any landscaping recently to maintain the grounds. Overall, it was better than SOME hotels I’ve been to but was extremely disappointing. Would not recommend and would take a closer look before staying at another Best Western.

I am a local to the area, but I have people coming into town routinely for biz & pleasure. I have used the Quiet Suites almost exclusively, and never a complaint — except for the one time someone wanted to stay there(having already experinced it) and they were totally booked. Highly recommended.

I love this place, stay there every year. People really do respect the Quiet in Quiet House. Most folks in bed by 10pm, which is when the pool & workout room close. No worries though, the front desk is happy to keep things open for you a tad longer. They have a shuttle van that will pick you up from MKE for $ 10, return you for $ 10. Any time. The cab, if you could find one, would be about $ 50. I love the swimming pool room, with hot tub and indoor/outdoor pool open all year. Swim in the snow! The best part is the kitschy country décor. They decorate for the holidays, think straw scare crow and pumpkins for halloween. The theme of this hotel seems to be wood birds. There are ducks, geese, turkeys, some flying from the ceiling, others made into lamps or shelf decorations. The housekeeping staff is really friendly and helpful. Some work 7 days a week, so give them a break and leave a tip. There’s one woman i’ve seen for years that comes every morning to lay out the breakfast and clean it up. Theres a waffle machine, fridge with whole & skim milk, yogurt, cereal, and assorted packets of honey, tea, hot chocolate. At 10am the food disappears but the juice machine runs 24⁄7. There are three convenient neighborhood restaurants. One is next door, one is across the street. The farthest one closes for dinner around 9p, the one next door might still cook up something at 9:30p. There’s weekly trivia contests. Both places specialize in after work drinking. The lesser hotel across the street has a pretty good mexican restaurant in it. You’re a couple of blocks to hwy 43. Free, plentiful parking, free wi-fi. You can drive north to Port Washington in about 30 minutes. You can drive south to downtown Milwaukee in 30 minutes. The neighborhood is fairly upscale suburban homes, pretty low crime. Lots of nature to see. Stay on Port Washington Road and count all the strip malls. You don’t have to go far to find a Walgreens, CVS, hamburger & custard, gas station, grocery store, much etc. Back to the hotel. The top second floor is best. Much quieter, don’t have to hear the late comers stomp above you. The hotel never seems quiet unless you’re there with a wedding party. I’ve never heard the plumbing from any other room. My one big complaint is the doors. What would it cost to install quiet closing doors? Every time anyone comes and goes there’s a loud metal door slam. The north sides of the hall have generously sized suites, the south side have theme suites. I’ve only stayed in the High Tech Room on that side. There’s also a country theme, loft room, whirlpool rooms, pretty snazzy in 1990 i’m sure. The free wi-fi always works, they have a free computer in the lobby hooked up to a computer so you can print out your boarding pass or 10 copies of your favorite cartoon. The beds i’ve been on have all been wonderful and the black out curtains make you want to sleep in. Last time I heard an entire conversation the guy next door was having on the phone. Could happen anywhere I guess. Water pressure just fine, hot water never ran out, some rooms have small kitchens, all have fridges you can use. Coffee machine in rooms. One other minus, the electrical plugs. The rooms all have those useful multi-plug outlet superglued to the desk. That’s great if you’re sitting at the desk. I highly suggest bringing your own grounded extension cord, or small multi-plug. The wall plugs are all in inconvenient locations, sometimes behind built in furniture that won’t budge and have approx 2 inch clearances. Once I got a room with a jumble of extension cords that powered the really loud fridge and both bed lamps. Oh, another minus, the vending machine in the pool room is crazy loud. Considering the budget prices you can usually find this place is pretty darn good and I plan on returning every year.

Quaint. Clean. Mattress was pretty worn out. Good for a road weary traveler. But I wouldn’t make a point of staying here on purpose.
