This lounge is amazing! It’s located in a strip mall so you might not know its there, but it’s a gem in the rough! Bartender Teddy makes them quick and strives to be fun. They have psychic Wednesday’s with a special that comes with dinner and Kareoke Thursdays. Happy hour M-F 5 – 7. Delicious zombies and really great sushi. If you want to try it out sit by the bar and order some sinfully good values off of their happy hour menu. Waitstaff was great when I sat to dine, very accommodating. Huge space, nice bathroom and never packed… Well maybe until now lol! Seriously treat yourself. Do it.

Very disappointed. My sushi was mushy and the seaweed wrapping was very chewy. Worst sushi I’ve ever had. The restaurant itself had a club vibe and the bar seemed like a pickup spot — not my style. Will not go back.

Yes! I finally found my Xaga replacement. The décor is very cool with the different LED lights. It’s a bit dark but nothing major. The rolls were high quality, neatly rolled, and tasted as good as they looked. Especially the Naturo and spider rolls. The bento boxes were on point. The tofu and salmon teriyaki boxes tasted great. The service was pretty good… it’s definitely improving with each trip we make. That’s all I ask of a new restaurant. Overall, they did a great job with the new construction, the food is great and served in a reasonable time, and the staff is polite.

I love this restaurant for their Happy Hour Monday thru Friday featuring half price cocktails, wine and beer plus discounted appetizers and sushi. Teddy pours drinks with a hearty laugh and larger than life personality. He makes everyone feel welcome even when it’s 3 deep at the bar. Be forewarned: it gets packed here on Thursdays and Fridays around 1700 and the bar is very small. Sometimes they extend the specials into the sushi bar area but sometimes not. It’s definitely worth the wait because the food is very good. I usually order sashimi, a spicy tuna roll and spicy rock shrimp. The fish is well presented and always fresh.(Just please don’t come during happy hour — it’s hard enough to find a seat without you being there)(LOL)

Excellent, fresh sushi and rolls, generous portions and very reasonable prices. Charlie, our server, was great. We’ve been here three times, excellent every time.

I have been here a couple times since it has opened and also did some take out. Every time the food has been terrific. I highly recommend if you want a place to enjoy drinks and asian cuisine. Atmosphere is really nice. Lounge feel but family friendly. Only four stars because it is a little on expensive side. Definitely a must try.

My wife and I have eaten in and ordered in from here. So far it’s been pretty consistent. We tend to dine in when eating sushi as we feel sushi doesnt hold up well to take out, though Taka is just as good at home or at their location. The tuna tataki is nothing special but it’s tasty. The stand out for this place is the fact that you can choose your protein for their version of the naruto roll, which is a very nice touch.

I’ve been there several times with my fiancé and the food has always been pretty good but it always leaves us wishing it would be just a little better. The steak bento box is ok but it’s far from the best cut of meat. The last time we were there, however, I got General Tso’s chicken and was quite disappointed. The chicken was tough and had an almost too sweet flavor, reminded me of French toast and not in a good way! Not at all what I expected, I get a better dish from the local takeout. The wait staff is OK but some can seem almost annoyed that you’re there, makes you feel just a tad uncomfortable. And I know that a lot of places are doing this now but why do people have to spend at least $ 10 to get fried rice? All meals come with white rice and I truly feel like charging that much for tossing soy sauce in is a bit much. I’m on the fence about trying it again but we’ve gone because it’s close to home. I’m thinking it’s worth the drive to go elsewhere.

During my birthday month I have decided to treat myself as much as possible. Today’s treat is sushi mmmmMMMm. It is my Second time here for a me-time lunch. The atmosphere is open and beautifully decorated. I had the sashimi lunch special. You have the choice of miso, hot and sour or for $ 1 more wonton soup. Nice thanks for the choices guys! And the usual ginger dressing salad which was(for what it is) fresh and tasty. Fish is good for the price, presentation is delightful… Service is attentive enough but I haven’t been here during busy time. I would definitely recommend and continue going plus they put coupons out in the local coupon book! Smart move.

I have been to Taka at least ten times. The food is awesome, the service is great. I especially love that they serve both sushi and Chinese dishes as I love sushi and my fiancé loves Chinese. The sushi is fresh and delicious. The lunch specials are a steal !

Good selection, rolls are reasonably priced. I’ve only ever ordered takeout online, it’s always been correct and ready relatively quick. They have great options for lunch specials too, my only reason for 4⁄5 is just the lack of consistency on chopsticks and soy sauce.

I came here for lunch with a friend recently. The décor is trendy inside, with leather booths and different lighting. We both ordered the three roll lunch special which came with our choice of three rolls, soup and salad for $ 11(two roll options for $ 9). Food is pretty good. I didn’t love the miso soup, it was a little under seasoned but the salad was very good and the sushi was fresh and delicious. The sushi pieces were pretty substantial and the spicy mayo on the side had a nice flavor. The tea was also pretty good. I recommend this place and do plan on returning again.

Owners can’t speak English well enough. Incomplete, overpriced, only fair tasting food. $ 80 for two children and two adults. Order was take out and they had to call us back three times for the address… spell it… can you give us directions? One hour and cold food. First and last time for this turkey

This is now my favorite sushi place .The décor is so cool in this place. Food portions are good and atmosphere is relaxed. My wife got me into sushi about a year ago and I went in kicking and screaming and ended up loving it .so I been checking out places and must say this place is well worth the visit.

Ok. My hubby and I snuck out on a Monday night.(Yes a school night). We were blown away. My husband is just getting into sushi, and he had not one single negative thing to say. The staff… awesome. Food… fresh, fresh and delicious. I wanted to stress fresh, since it is the most important thing you want with sushi. One more thing…½ price sake on Monday. No need to say more. I really love this beautiful place and definitely planning to make it a regular spot.

After discovering this place, I went twice in one week, which is very rare for me. This restaurant is relatively new, and has very beautiful décor and space. The food itself is very good, with big portions and respectable prices, all while being tasty. The sesame/general tso chicken is very good, as is the black peppered steak. The waiters are very nice, giving fast and courteous service, although it would be nice if they refilled our water glasses more often. The moist towelette they give after you sit down is nice. All in all, this is a place I would definitely recommend, and would love to come here again if I have the money to afford it!

I was very impressed with this place from the second we sat down to the second we left. This place is brand spankin’ new. The décor is beautiful. It’s a similar style to Kashi in RVC but is better in almost every way. We were seated quickly. There were about 10 waiters and waitresses on the floor ready and willing to help. Our water glasses were never empty and plates didn’t sit for more than a few seconds before someone noticed. The menu is short but concentrated. A good mix of everything and prices are fair. We ordered 2 lunch specials of 2 rolls each. Yellowtail scallion, 2 eel avocado rolls, and a spicy salmon roll. All very good and very fresh. My fiancé was especially impressed with the yellowtail. The quality was so amazing. Fresh and buttery. Best he’s ever had. He had the new age sashimi and loved it. Tuna, salmon, and yellowtail all with different sauces and accompaniments. The kuma kuchi roll was exceptional. Spicy scallop and king crab inside with yellowtail and salmon on top. Everything was fresh and delicious. The scallop and uni pieces we ordered were also especially good. I also appreciated the miso soup and salad came with each lunch special. Both very good. Service was exceptional and food was very fresh. I want to go back for dinner and to try some of their cooked food. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked great!
