Horrible place to eat at ! Small portions and over priced. I got the cheese fries expecting a plate of them but got a hand full of them. 15 dollars for a steak that wasnt cooked right and didnt come with my baled potato that i asked for. If i could give zero stars i would. The best thing about this applebees was the music.

If I could give no stars I would Kristy Carter, the manager, is the worst person EVER and should not be working here. She was rude and had no apology for the way she managed this restaurant. We waited over 40 min for food that was crappy and she didn’t care. She stated she would call the cops on us of we didn’t pay for the food we ordered and wasn’t at our table yet. I will be calling corporate on her. She needs to be fired.

We came to Applebee’s off of 635 and it was HORRIBLE. We ordered the chicken pasta with EXTRA chicken and there was not any extra chicken. We also ordered the chicken and rosemary dish and the chicken was burned extra crispy and it was not good AT ALL. Lastly, we got the bourbon steak. We asked for the steak to be medium well. He put the steak in to be WELL done. It was burned and tough to chew. It was NOT good. We will not be returning.

I won’t be coming back to this Applebee’s. It took them 30 minutes to make salmon?! Service isn’t so great.

Ok first off its a great place to go but this time it was not the best. For one i order the salsa verde nachos and no brisket was put on them then but they did fix it and gave me a new plate with extra brisket. Food was great and the drinks were good overall a nice dinner and drinks.

If you’re looking for somewhere to dine for a late dinner, Applebee’s should NEVER be an option.

This place has the worst service out of all the Applebee’s. Don’t waste your time coming to the one off of 635. The servers are rude, the managers don’t give a crap and it’s just an overall terrible experience.
The last two times I’ve gone, my server was nothing but bitchy. She didn’t check on the table once, not to mention I sat there without a drink for 20 minutes.

I’ve been here for…10 minutes. Maybe. Haven’t gotten a beer yet. There’s two bartenders behind the bar, conversing with each other about another server, and their tips. A manager chimes in. All before we get asked what we would like to drink. We get our beers, and they go back to chattering about what they make here. My boyfriend finally shouts «CAN WE GET A MENU». We got the menu, and are now sitting here contemplating leaving or not. …we ordered our appetizer. I would rather not go on. Bad service. Regardless. No thanks Applebee’s! Step up your game.

I didn’t want to cook tonight so I figured I would get some Applebees since I live right across the freeway from it. I come here regularly and could say that I have spent a good $ 1000 – 1500 at this place specifically within the past few years that I have lived here in mesquite.
The place has diminished in what we call quality service, and does not even deserve one star at this point.
I stood at the to go window for 15 minutes and not one single person asked me if I needed help. Even when I looked directly at them. Not even a smile, how are you doing tonight, etc.
I stood there and placed a call to applebees and asked for the manager. Asked her if she could take my order at the to go window. She came over with not even a smile on her face or even an apology at that. Stephanie was the name of the manager. Todd who I talked to when I walked in didn’t even ask if I needed help after I asked him if there were any seats at the bar. His respond I don’t know, maybe?
Poor poor poor service, and it’s only gotten worse.
Even after I have left good reviews in the past.
I recommend you go to chili’s or another place than here.
I will not be coming back to this location.
Nor will I be recommending this place anymore.

Went here on my dad’s birthday and was very disapointed ordered there barbecue boneless wings they were very hard and dry I had to send them back they came back the same way ordered the margarita chicken it was cold and my rice was very crunchy ordered I different plate the Alfredo pasta had no flavor and the bread stick came before the pasta itself horrible service manager had an attitude will be going to a different applebees

The under 550 calories menu is great. I can’t believe the much great food is that low in calories. The steak was soo flavorful and tender. The chicken was great and so were the sides. Very glad I can go out to eat without blowing my diet!

Food is decent, priced equally, service is slow… On the up side they are open until 2pm everyday!

This gets a 3 star review PURELY because of the manager I met today.
I have always enjoyed Applebee’s food. It’s not out of this world, but it’s certainly not fast food junk, and it’s nice to just sit down and enjoy a meal with some friends or family. However, the last two times I have been to this location the service has been absolutely terrible.
The first time, several months ago, my boyfriend stopped by here on a Wednesday evening after seeing a movie. It wasn’t terribly busy but it certainly wasn’t dead. We didn’t wait long, though we expected mildly slow service. Not to be almost entirely ignored by our waiter. He did the bare minimum of getting our drinks and 45 minutes later our food orders (noting that we did NOT order an appetizer), and then essentially ignored us the rest of the night. Eventually we found another waitress to bring us our check, and made sure to leave our tip with her.
This past time was yesterday. Again, we had just seen a movie at AMC and decided to stop here for lunch at around noon. School hadn’t let out yet, and it wasn’t really busy. We were sat at a booth, and promptly ignored by our waiter for 15 minutes. We knew exactly who our waiter was because the host pointed him out and beckoned the waiter over to get our drink orders. Eventually the host returned and got our drinks personally. 15 minutes goes by and again we see no one. Or rather, we see our waiter pass by and serve the two booths on either side of us — whom were sat AFTER we arrived — and refuse to so much as glance in our direction. Fed up, I stopped the manager and requested the bill for the drinks.
This is where he saved our experience.
He asked what the problem is and we told him we had been entirely ignored by our waiter for half an hour. He offered to give us whatever we wanted on the house, which I thought was VERY generous. However, my boyfriend had work soon and we couldn’t stay very much longer and declined. He told us our drinks were free and to meet him at the front. There, he gave us a handful of free vouchers signed by him to get us free meals should we come again. He thanked us for our kindness about the situation, and I let him know that I thought he was being VERY kind and generous and we would definitely return, hopefully during his shift.

Terrible. The service was decent and the only reason why it got a 2. Food was not so great the sides was rather cold. we did discount are ticket. I ordered a steak which came out fine. Overall it was terrible an I won’t be coming back here.

My family and I eat at Applebees all the time. In fact its one of our go to places most nights after whatever in season sport our kiddos happen to be partaking in. And I am known to go in on weekends and celebrate in their Dollar Draft beers. Ive experienced the blah, the great, the in between, not so good service but I have never really complained or even sighed because its Applebees and its cheap– what do you really expect?
Well what I do not expect is an attitude from a manager when we walk in at 8:45 on a weeknight to eat dinner. She asked how many in party– we exclaim 9 and we are willing to wait. We had won our first baseball game and a few of parents and coaches decided to take the kiddos out to celebrate. What I did not expect was her rolling her eyes and acting put out by us walking in their establishment. This is not the hostess mind you– this is the MANAGER! They don’t close until 2 am, they only had 2 tables occupied at the time we came in, and they had about 10 employees walking around and sitting in various booths– why the attitude? Im not so sure!
I walk to restroom and hear her talking to a waiter saying «Im not going to make you do it; I wouldnt do that to you!» I would like to assume it was not about our table but being that they were putting our tables together while talking about it I decided she probably should have just kept her mouth shut while other people could hear her.
I would think with only 2 tables occupied you would welcome the business of 9 people.
Our waiter was fabulous– he saved the night. The food is food; thats about all that can be said. Ive had almost everything on the menu. The boneless buffalo wings are great! The twins love the two cheeseburger kids meal. I normally do steak (meh!) or the three cheese penne (better leftover and warmed up). The chicken fajita roll up is excellent but not a fan of the rice.
Several times manager scrolled by the table looking at us and glaring at our table– not sure why. Then she saw me looking at her and came over and asked if everything was ok? Very weird experience. She is definitely not friendly. We paid our 60 dollar plus tabs with added gratuity and left an extra tip for our waiter. This was not the best experience I have had thus far with Applebees– will I go again, yes, but im hoping my next visit is a much friendlier encounter.

Yay ! $ 1 draft beer all day everyday is back! The franchisee made the smart move, and now this place is packed Thursday through Sunday.
Cons: I can’t wallow in my misery amongst a few regulars anymore.

This is definitely my most favorite place to eat in Rockwall. A lot of people don’t believe me when I say the steaks here are better than most steakhouses, but then I prove to them how right I am. It’s best to come around 9−10pmish, when it doesn’t feel so busy. During these times, you can almost always guarantee great service and even greater food.

I hate this place. Yuck! The Chips & Spinach Artichoke dip were oversalted and tasted like they had been sitting out for days. The Bourbon Street Steak sounded good but wound up being a nasty piece of meat. I really think it had gone bad but the manager insisted he «ate it every night for dinner and if someone didn’t like the dish it was because they just didn’t like the way the meat was seasoned». Bullshit. Jerk. The loaded mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli were much better than the rest of the meal. I was thoroughly unhappy after 2 bites of the steak though. My mom even tried it and hated it as well…
I would give this zero stars if I could.
