Don’t understand the last two reviews on this place. Its in a freaking mall for crying out loud. You want a 5 star meal then go to a real restaurant. Damn! Sorry Food was good. I never order a standard Philly cause they don’t even come close to Pats. I always order a chicken Philly and its always made just like I like it. I have not been disappointed so far.

$ 13.+ for a footlong, fries and drink and it wasn’t very good. I asked for a Regular drink, later realized I was charged and given a Large. I also asked for about an inch or two of ice. What do ya know, she filled it up and dumb me didn’t realize this till it was nearly empty. I go back for a refill, sure enough, it’s .50 cents. No thanks, won’t be back.

My wife and I took a visit to Town East Mall for the first time in at least 5 years and the whole thing really looks great so after doing some morning shopping we stopped by the food court to grab a bite to eat. I decided to go for Charley’s Grilled Subs since I’m a sucker for pictures of good looking food. This was probably the best part of my experience unfortunately. After placing my order for a deluxe combo meal with a Dr. Pepper as the the drink I was then handed my beverage as I waited behind a mom and her daughters. I took a sip of the Dr. Pepper and it was pretty bad, not horrible, but bad. I guess it was like getting one of those fountain drinks where the syrup to carbonated ratio is way off and it doesn’t have the flavor you are expecting, wait… that was EXACTLY what it tasted like. I should’ve heeded the warning sign. After watching the gentleman at the end of the line prepare the order in front of me, the mom and daughters, all nicely on a tray and with napkins and everything. I was handed my food WITHOUT a tray and then the gentleman turned away and walked off. I’m standing there with a fizzy watered down Dr. Pepper in one hand, small basket of food in the other, and some ketchup that I pumped from the dispenser in front of the guy on the counter and he didn’t think I needed a tray like the customer before me? Then I thought about how I’m supposed to clean my hands bc they keep the napkins behind the counter and I seriously had to reach OVER the counter and get my own napkins and the cook just kind of looked at me and didn’t say anything or offer to help me out, which btw, I was the last customer in line at the time. Anyway, I brushed it off and went to sit down and hopefully enjoy my deluxe cheese steak. It looked good but the sub was a real disappointment. The flavor just didn’t match what I was expecting from the pictures and past experience with cheese steaks. I would just say that there’s nothing unique, special, or that would make me want to go there again especially after the service I received. I ate as much as I could stand bc I didn’t want to waste a meal I just paid almost $ 11 for… I didn’t really eat the fries, ate most of the sub, and threw away half of the Dr. Pepper… I’ll never eat there again.
