Chicken Express Mesquite

They have a lot of young workers there at the store. I took them over 30 minutes to give me three Wings which I never got because they never dropped them. They had to refund my order and the chicken that I did receive my order was greasy and nasty. Worst experience ever!

This is what Chicken Express is supposed to be. The tenders are perfect, light and delicious. The rolls are hot, soft, and sweet… plus they give you two. The sweet tea is exactly what you’ve come to expect from Chicken E.
The employees don’t really seem to care to be at work, but they’re polite enough and the service is quick.
My only real complaint is the smell in the dining room. It smells faintly like a public toilet, but the food more than makes up for that unpleasantness.
This location does it right!

Love Chicken Express, but went yesterday and the chicken was dry and the gravy wasn’t gravy, it was white water… literally the consistency of water and had no flavor. It was in a cup and on the mashed potatoes, so I had to pour it off the potatoes. Very disappointed that someone there didn’t have enough common sense when they put that on the food and in the cup to say to someone this gravy has an issue and know that this was such low quality that it shouldn’t be served. Chicken is expensive and this ruined our meal.

Went there many times for a beverage when sweet tea was .50, went there a bit less when it went up to .75. now it’s $ 1, won’t be going much at all now

The chicken is horrid. The only decent thing here to eat is the fish. I haven’t been to this restaurant in about 4 years since there are much better options for fish and chicken in the area.

The closest chicken express to me is on town east but I go here because they have catfish. It is sooo good and you get generous portions unlike other chicken express locations. It is always fresh and fried to perfection. Worth every penny

DELICIOUS bread rolls and crispy chicken!!! Love this place!!!

I was taking care of my mumzies as she was in the hospital recently, and for lunch they brought her catfish. Obviously the hospital food itself didn’t entice me, but the idea of catfish did. It’s been awhile since I’ve had some fried fish lovin’.
Cue Chicken Express. Mumzies recommended their catfish highly, and hell, she gave birth to me so she knows what she’s doing when it comes to awesome things.
Daaayuuummm. That catfish was the bee’s knees. I got the 3 piece combo (which actually showed up with 4 pieces, which my mom says happens all the time– sweeeeet) with one side and hush puppies or a roll. Sticking to the fish theme, I rocked the hushpups, and I chose fried okra for my side (no mac, unfortunately).
Again, daaayyyummm. Those be some good hushpups. Crispy on the outside, soft inside and a nice hint of jalapeño.
The fish was fried perfectly. It fell apart on my fork everytime I tried to pick it up, it was so damn flakey!!!
I will be back whenever I crave catfish to-​go :)!!!
