Great food. Good price for the quality. We’re from California and put this on the same level as in n out. Delicious!(we usually get 2 burgers, a soda, a shake, and a fries and spend around 25 with tax for those who are curious)

Great place to stop and get a really good quick burger! Freshly cut fries, all natural beef that’s ground in house daily, and really awesome shakes frozen with liquid nitrogen! Do yourself a favor and give them a try!

Great burgers! I was really craving a nice burger that didn’t require sitting at a table or waiting so long for. so I came across Atomic Burger AND they have a drive thru which was just what I was looking for. The«atomic burger» was soo good and not dry either. I hate a dry and too-thick burger. The patties were just right and the small fries were enough for 2 people to share! I also got one of their milkshakes which excellent. Definitely one of new favorites!

Im going to start by saying I am not a burger expert. I like them but it’s not something I go out and eat often although I think they make a pretty good one. I mainly come here when my sweet tooth is craving dessert. They do a really good milkshakes. The Nutella marshmallow milkshake has little morsels of marshmallows in each sip, one of my favorites! Today I had the wedding cake milkshake and I also liked that one :) service has always been good too.

This one has been on the list for a good long time, and let me tell you, when you are in need of a big cheesy, greasy burger(in the best way possible) Atomic Burger hits the spot. We both ordered the Jamburger,(patty with cheese, and a bacon onion jam). It was served on a soft, tender bun and was every bit of deliciousness you expect in a juicy burger. We split an order of small fries and both ordered their famous nitrogen chilled milkshakes, plain vanilla and a salted caramel. We were feeling ready for a nap afterwards so just be ready for the 4,000 calories you’re likely ingesting. Worth it.

On the overall burger scale, Atomic Burger isn’t that special. However, if you want a greasy burger, Atomic Burger is pretty damn good. The flavor is alright, the fries are good, and all the different sauces keep things fresh. But there is an abundance of grease. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not a great thing either.

Their King cake shake is phenomenal! I’m glad they only offer it during carnival because it makes you miss it! When you first sip? You tasting vanilla, followed by cream cheese and cinnamon. Eventually you get the sprinkles so the crunch comes in and your done! It’s so good, I couldn’t put it down! 4 stars bc the burger is ok. The shakes are where it’s at! Change it to Atomic Shakes!

Fantastic option for a burger in Metairie. Of the«fast food» joints, Atomic burger definitely reigns supreme over McDonalds and Burger King. I am on a low carb diet, so I enjoy their options for a lettuce wrapped burger and edamame instead of fries. They can take any of their burger selections and wrap it in lettuce rather than a bun. The flavor is solid and the carbs are nilch… perfect for me. The edamame is a unique alternative for fries in a burger restaurant… love it. I have to throw a bone to the shakes here too… of course, I don’t get one thanks to the carbs, but my kids love them. The presentation is pretty impressive… it’s a massive liquid nitrogen chilled milkshake machine that blasts out a white cloud just like the Delorean in Back to the Future every time they make a shake. Doc Brown would surely approve. BOTTOMLINE: One of the best of these new trendy burger joints. Great shakes too.

Solid burger! Stopped in for a half hour to grab a bite. I had the Atomic Burger with fries. It was my first time here and I thought it was pretty good. Very juicy. Two burger patties with cheese on both sides and between, lettuce, tomato. Loved the little onions and AB sauce, which seemed like a mixture of ketchup and mustard. Thought everything was well-balanced. The burger was a little less than $ 7, which is on the pricier side for fast food. Fries were too salty for my liking and the cashier didn’t tell me about the fry sauces! I think I missed out. Next time I’m trying a few of those!

I have driven by here on several occasions and was surprised that it was still in business as it always seemed to be dead. Rarely a car to be seen in the parking lot. Well I was wrong. I was driving by at the wrong times. To reiterate what others have said, do not eat this in your car unless you really enjoy looking like a mess after. The burger is a meal in itself, but I was unaware of that when I came in. I had the jamburger. No there was no sweet breakfast type jam on it. The jam is bacon and sautéed onions grilled together. The burger is a hearty burger, and there is good bun to burger ratio, there is nothing extra at the end. The burger was piping hot. I got the regular order of fries(skins are remaining on some of the fries, which I love) and the garlic aioli dipping sauce on recommendation of the cashier. Good call there. The fries were even good reheated the next day. The restaurant is neat and clean, very open. The cashier was very friendly. Everything was open and nicely lit. I look forward to coming back, and pointing others to this location. It is a bit on the pricy side, but this is not your run of the mill burger joint, it is one to be enjoyed.

Nothing too exciting here. It’s probably better quality than fast food. Husband and I both got an atomic burger. We both could taste and see the excessive amount of black pepper on the meat which took away from the taste. We didn’t get any sides but the only choices are fries and edamame which seemed kinda odd. I think their selling point is the milkshakes that are chilled with liquid nitro. We didn’t try them so I can’t comment. Kinda strange menu offerings. Probably won’t be back but maybe it’ll suit you better.

***Updated Review, original review below. After my review, the owner reached out to me, apologized and asked if I would be willing to give them another try. This really surprised me and was awesome customer service. I gave them an extra star for that. This time I tried their bacon onion jam burger. It was really delicious, very flavorful. A little on the greasy side, but not too bad considering the bacon sautéed onion factor. I noticed that they’ve changed the packaging, which made a big difference. The burger came in a neat container. A nice change of pace from the basic wrapper. It also helped with the grease factor. I’ve tried them two times since my original review and both times noted major improvement. I’ll likely be back. ***Original Review***I tried the Atomic Burger. It tasted okay, but I was very underwhelmed… especially after paying about $ 35 for two burgers, one fry, one dipping sauce, and two shakes. The burger was very greasy. The fries were good. I recommend getting some of their dipping sauce for them. I also had a wedding cake milkshake which was super thick, and barely suckable through a straw. It did taste exactly like wedding cake and wasn’t overly sweet. Overall they were okay, but not worth the price. Honestly, I could have dined at a chain restaurant and got more bang for my buck.

Woot! I love this place, especially watching them make my liquid nitrogen chilled milkshake. This is my second time here. I came here the first time because I was getting an oil change at the Mazda. 45 mins to kill? Sure I’ll eat! Drove by this place many times on Veterans and now this is my second time and I brought my hubby! I love the fact that the beef and turkey meat are ground in house! Fresh… never frozen. You can taste the freshness of the meat. I’m pretty sure it’s 70⁄30 because the juiciness of the meat when you bite into it is orgasmic. I have been trying out different flavors with the sliders option. Green Chili burger has the roasted poblano, jamburger has the bacon onion jam and the mushroom Swiss burger has sautéed mushroom and onions. I actually enjoyed all three burgers! I probably liked the Jamburger more because of the bacon bits in it! Can’t go wrong with bacon. Their fries are hand cut! I ordered a side of chipotle Aoli for my fries, tangy and I love it! There are more sauce options as well! Hubby had the turkey burger! It was just as juicy as my burger. Flavorful and cooked well done. He said it was delicious! For the price of the turkey burger($ 6.89), you really can’t go wrong! I will be back soon!

Not a huge menu but Mmm are the burgers melt In Your mouth. I had the poblano burger. Awesome and flavorful. Get the sliders and have one of each. Fries were too salty for my test but they had that home cut texture

We just ate here for the first time, encouraged by a review saying that In n Out should watch out and it failed to disappoint! The burgers were neatly presented, juicy and dressed just right. The fries were perfect and the roasted garlic aoli and truffle mayo were yummy. The chocolate milkshake made frozen with liquid nitrogen was phenomenal. Loved the quarter sheet pan trays and overall style of the place as well. It’s a bit of a haul from downtown New Orleans, but totally worth the drive. Would love to see one open in mid city. we would be there all the time.

Atomic burger, regular fries, & a large drink for 13. Maybe it’s a little pricy, but regardless, I don’t judge on price when it comes to a great, filling burger & perfectly seasoned fries. The interior was pristine, had an array of seating areas, and noticed that both people by themselves & in groups were comfortable as well as enjoying themselves. I must note that the service really made my day. Everyone in the kitchen seemed happy! I love having the opportunity to see bright, smiling, kind people working in the industry, and the young woman who helped me was incredibly sweet.(I really wish I would’ve caught your name, but keep it up honey!) I will definitely be visiting again when I’m craving a burger in the Metairie area.

Well i was thoroughly pleased with everything I had here. I’ve already come back for the second time in less than a week. That’s saying a lot. Especially since this is in the heart of Metairie and requires me to venture from my comfortable, Mid City abode. The menu is simple and straight forward. The atomic burger is easily the best ‘fast’ burger you’re gonna get. The specialty burgers also come in slider form so you can go that route if you want to get a good sample of what they’re hitting for. The fries are hand-cut, which I’m a huge fan of, i think they can go a bit more easy on the salt tho. The milkshakes… oh the milkshakes! Whatever that process is they put them through will have you addicted. That cookies and cream is something so serious. They only come in one size, but I know I’d happily pay a little extra for a larger amount, it just disappears way too fast. They’ve got my vote and repeated business.

This place was huge surprises! Went in not expecting very much. However every thing is done fresh and to order. Great great burgers. The fries were fresh cut and cooked to perfection. I could see this place really becoming a great burger shop. The milkshakes look really cool and taste ok. However they were not cold. They make each shake with nitrogen and can be customize to your preference. Just felt like it was cool, just not that great.

Atomic Burger really demonstrates that I’m very behind on my reviews… Within a month after my original post, the manager of Atomic Burger private messaged me and said that he was disappointed that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy their food. To make up for this, they gave me a $ 10 gift card. So I used it to buy two things I’ve never tried: the turkey burger and a chocolate espresso milkshake(when I order my shake, the girl behind the counter suggested I combined a couple of flavors. Since I was craving a mocha, I just went for it.) YUMMY! The turkey burger finally solved the greasy and salty issues of their mushroom burger. Perfectly seasoned, it was great to the last bite. Same with the shake. Super thick and refreshing, I can honestly say it’s the best shake I’ve had.(I usually don’t order a lot of shakes. And they’re usually from ice cream places.) So 5 stars for the shake alone! And their customer service. Everyone there is so nice and obviously they care about their reputation since they understand that Unilocalers aren’t above bribes. BUT if your food isn’t good, no amount of gift cards will change that. Luckily for Atomic Burger, theirs does.

Wow! Totally impressed! We finally got a great burger place to eat in Metairie. I’ve been craving a good, real meat, seasoned, cheeseburger and a friend of mine told me go to Atomic. I got the Atomic Burger with cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, and the AB special sauce. I also ordered a regular order of hand cut fries and ice water. The fries come pouring out of a cup and the burger is neatly half wrapped so you can eat it out of the wrapper. I’ve never in my life NOT put ketchup on my burger. From the first absolutely juicy bite, I was hooked! The special sauce is a mixture of ketchup, mayo, and mustard I think. More on the yellow side. You don’t need to even add salt to the fries. They were perfect too. I’m now needing something sweet and regret not getting a shake. I was eyeing the Apple Pie flavored shake and I know next time I will definitely get that special treat!
