I just had one of the best salon experiences I have ever had with Adam and Maria. Adam is an incredible hairdresser who listened to me, and really took his time fixing the disaster that was my previously horrible haircut. He truly understands thick, ethnic hair, and how to help get the hair past that horrible in between stage when a person is trying to grow it out. He didn’t rush, and was very precise and careful. He was also very personable and hilarious. Best haircut I’ve had in years! Maria did my manicure and pedicure, and my nails look absolutely gorgeous. She was very quick, precise, and gentle. I love the seaweed and sea salt scrub. Thanks so much to you both! I wish I could fly you out to wherever I am in the country whenever I need hair and nail service! I would also like to add that the receptionists were very kind and treated me with the utmost respect even though I came in looking like a hot mess. Tina

Had the best experience! Recently moved here, this is my second salon. The first one didn’t work out so well… bad haircuts so of course I was nervous to try another salon. I googled this salon and I decided to go for it after reading the reviews for Adam. He is a miracle worker! He corrected what the other salon messed up badly. My haircut is awesome. And to make me feel even better, as I was leaving the mall I got complimented on my hair! Bonus!

The Paris Parker salon in the Lakeside Mall has the rudest receptionist. I was in there tonight and she was just as rude as the last time.

I have seen a few different people for cuts and have no complaints about that. Jimmy colors my hair and I absolutely love him! He does such a great job. They are really good about fitting me in during a pinch. My work schedule is a little crazy so that is very important to me. I enjoy going during the earlier part of the day as they are less busy. I’m very high energy and spunky for the entire world, so this is my time to close my eyes and enjoy peace and quiet. If that is what you’re looking for, its in your best interest to go early! I’ve been after 4pm and it was entirely too chaotic/noisy for me.

I made an appointment to get my hair color corrected. I told the receptionist ATLEAST5 times that this was a color correction and to make sure to allow enough time. Low and behold after I haul myself all the way out to Metarie, it was scheduled incorrectly. Instead of working with me they just said«sorry» and asked me to leave. Are to kidding me?! I really don’t understand how a mess up on the receptionists end is my problem. Signed the girl with still messed up hair. Thanks for nothing paris Parker.

Have been going to the various Paris Parker locations in New Orleans since moving here, and I have had decent to great haircuts from different stylists. My most recent cut was with Melissa at the Lakeside location, and I love how it turned out! She was quick, efficient, understood immediately what cut I wanted, and didn’t style the crap out of my hair when she dried it. Thanks Melissa, great job!

Jeannine is freaking awesome. Seriously, for under 50 dollars I got an amazing haircut, a stylist who knew what questions to ask, and someone who recognized enough to know not to give me the fifth degree during the cut. DONE. I’ve been enough times to know she’s awesome.

Bethany is awesome! I was scarred from a terrible haircut I got at another salon last month — the stylist did not do much of a consultation and instead of a 1 – 2 in trim, chopped 3 – 4 in off. I had been wearing my hair up all month because the cut was very uneven and didn’t have much of a style. During the consultation, Bethany kindly listened to me tell the story, smoothed out my hair with the blow dryer(it had been in a bun all day) to assess the damage, looked at a picture of what I wanted, discussed how I would normally style my hair, told me her plan, and reassured me that she would not be cutting off length. And then there was the calming scalp massage and shampoo. Plus, the woman who was working the desk made me some delicious hot tea– very calming. Bethany did exactly what she said she would and my hair finally looked like the picture! I felt so much better! She is so sweet, kind, and extremely talented! I highly recommend and plan on going back to her again.

I went here before the storm and this woman tried converting me to her religion #awkward. But after that I’ve had some great experiences: This chick I worked with who was a «hairdresser» dyed my hair HOTPINK in 2009. Not only was it hot link but it was splotchy, ugly, and my hail looked like the end of a highlighter. Aveda was able to squeeze me in and for $ 75 fixed the color. It was more of a dark brown/red color but it wasn’t HOTPINK any more. Now, I see Jackie for hair cuts(about $ 40) and Heather for highlights($ 110). I get my hair cut once every 4 – 5 months and my hair highlighted whenever I get the bug(maybe twice a year). Both ladies are awesome, professional, and do a great job. Jackie knows that I do t put product in my hair so she never tries to sell me the product. Great tip — you can book haircuts(and other services) online!

The woman that had cut my hair has been working there for 9 yrs. Jennine(I’m not real sure how to spell her name), well I don’t want to be harsh but I hate it! Its really round; like I have a space helmet on.

Never again. Holy crap. I have very very(like 36″) long hair. Went in for a 4−5″ cut off of those nasty ends. Well. When I went in my hair was below my butt, now it’s barely below my shoulders. Listen to your clients and stop doing what YOU want. Awful

I’m sorry I even went in there. My life would have been complete without my bottle of «Love.» Next time, I’ll wait and buy it in Baton Rouge or just forget it.

I was a walk-in and got an appointment within an hour. All the staff were nice and friendly, and I did not at all feel pressured to spend more than I intended. I donated 12 inches of my hair to Locks of Love, and they shipped it off for me! I enjoyed the service, I like my haircut, and I love the way my hair smells. My one tiny disappointment is that the scalp massage wasn’t anything extraordinary. It wasn’t bad, but I didn’t experience the piece of heaven I was hoping for. Unless I find another place, I’ll definitely return here.

I started visiting this Aveda Paris Parker location after the location at Tulane closed last summer. Adam has been cutting my hair for a couple of years now and I always leave my appointment very pleased. He starts my appointment by checking in with me about what I want done, giving me an unbelievable scalp massage, and shampooing my hair in the most relaxing way imaginable. His haircuts are $ 40 now, which I think is reasonable. The salon is open seven days a week, giving you plenty of options to find an appointment time that works for you. Even if you don’t have an appointment, stop in to browse the vast selection of Aveda products available. The products are pricey, but are mostly(if not all) natural and generally smell really, really good. Speaking of Aveda products, the one thing that I don’t love about Aveda Paris Parker salons in general is that I always feel a little pressured to buy the pricey products. Near the end of your appointment, someone from the front desk staff stops by to ask your stylist what products he/she used on you and then all of those products(sometimes like 5 or 6 different things) are waiting for you in a basket when you pay. No one is forcing you to buy anything, I just could do without that part.

I have been going to the Aveda school for years, but I was short on time so I decided to take the professional route this time and I’m so glad I did! I went to Adam, who worked magic on my sister’s hair a few weeks ago. I didn’t remember his name, but I was lucky enough to get him. I sat down and told him generally what I wanted and left the rest up to his creativity. I have short hair so it’s really easy to ruin — mistakes can’t be hidden very well — and based on the last haircut I got, I wasn’t expecting much. That being said, he did a wonderful job! It looks so much cuter than what I had in mind! I don’t find them to be any more expensive than any other salon, the haircut was $ 35, so that’s really reasonable. The place where they hit you hard is with their products($ 30 for a bottle of shampoo, ouch). Needless to say, I am incredibly happy with my haircut and service and I will definitely be going back to get my hair cut from Adam again!

I recently went to a hairdresser that has been working there for 9 years. My haircut resembled a 1981 mullet when I left with uneven layers. Im confused by her tenure, I spent $ 75 on a haircut when it looks like I went to supercuts. Honestly it is the worst hair cut of my life but there is nothing I can really do about it since the Aveda store is so small I could never show my face in there again to ask for another stylist to somehow miraculously fix it. I do find some comedy in the fact that both customer service reps that called ME ended the conversation with,“Well if everything is fine then nice speaking with you” When its evidently not fine if I wrote a negative review. A couple positive notes, I love the neck and scalp massage when you first sit in the chair. I also love the smell of the shampoo so much I bought a $ 30 bottle. She blow dryed my hair so gently I almost fell asleep.
