My expectations weren’t high to begin with and the sign at the door advertising the opening for a line cook should’ve been enough to deter me. My 11yo wanted chicken strips so we went in. The onion rings were very greasy and salty, my burger was like a hockey puck, the Texas toast was soggy and his strips were very hard and over cooked. The service was subpar as well. This place should be called…“WOW! I can’t believe we’re still open!”

I never liked chain restaurants. Lets get that straight. So I already started off with low standards, and yet this place still couldn’t meet them. I came here with friends only because it is located in Clearview Mall so the location was convenient. When we arrived, there was no hostess in the front. We had to wait a few minutes before anyone came to help us to a table. Now to our tables, I did enjoy the mini tvs that each table had(nice touch). But the table was small and it was entirely too dark in the restaurant. Thank goodness there was a tv and it was an open restaurant because those were the only sources of light. The food was ok. Nothing on the menu blew me away. Its bad sign when I look at a menu and immediately lose my appetite. Nothing on the menu stood out to me but I settled for a Memphis wrap. The best that I can give my wrap is an «ehhh». Also the queso blanco is very runny. It tastes good, but the consistency of it was off. So all in all, I wont be coming back if I don’t have to.

Update: Aug 2013 — I gave them another try and it was good. I ordered my usual(tenders) and they were very good. It looks like the staff is all new as well. The wait is still kind of long.

I had bought the Groupon and was in the area when my baby sis said she was hungry, so we decided to get some wings. When we approached the restaurant, no one greeted us. It was about 8 o’clock and lots of the stores at the mall were closing/closed and I noticed a staff person cleaning, so I asked what time they close, because I hate to be the person that walks in at 7:59 when you only seat until 8. I was told that they were open till 9 o’clock, but then I thought I heard one of the staff say to another staff something like don’t seat them. I wasn’t sure what was going on but we waited a bit. A woman walked toward us and I couldn’t tell if she was the hostess but I didn’t want to mistake a customer for a staff person so I just stood there. She said nothing to me or my sister and walked past us to stand behind the hostess podium and then looked at me without saying anything. I guess she was waiting for me to say something? I said, «table for two?» and she grabbed a couple of menus and walked to a table. I’m pretty sure she said nothing the whole time. Uhh, thanks, I guess? Thankfully, our server was much friendlier and she is the reason this review gets a two star instead of one. We weren’t super hungry but we wanted to try their wings so we got the sampler. We also ordered some chips and salsa, and in my foolish attempt to balance out our meals somewhat, we got a small side of «fresh fruit.» The chips and the wings were fine, but the«fresh fruit» turned out to a fruit cup that you can buy from the store. Really? It was just a couple of bucks but come on! I don’t know if it was the poor reception we experienced or what, but soon we weren’t so hungry anymore, so we packed the wings to go and got up out of there.

If you like wings, beer and want to catch a movie at Clearview, this place is pretty good. First off, the service was really, really great — and that always helps. The waitress offered for us to taste the sauces before we committed to buying a big sampler plate. She was attentive and made sure that we were taken care of. The wings are pretty good, too. They try their best and they pull it off pretty well. They have a bevvy of sauces to choose from that are tasty while some others are meh. I like sticking to spicy and there were about three spicy options — the rest range between sweet and salty variations. There are TVs at nearly every table, attempting to make it a place centered around watching sports. With a decent selection of beer on tap and in the bottle, this place is a great, casual stop at Clearview.

This was just a bad, bad, bad idea. I should have known better. After 1 bad experience at WoW in the past, I had already said I was done. Then there was a Groupon… $ 15 for $ 30. I figure I go to Clearview about once a month anyway, why not give it another shot. They weren’t busy, but we still had to wait about 3 minutes to be seated. This was the theme of our lunch today — SLOW. We were seated, and proceeded to look over the menu. They have a large variety of sauces, but unlike most other wing restaurants, no scale to indicate how spicy they are(Buffalo 1, Buffalo 2, etc are obvious — some are not). Anyhow, we ordered wings, some sides, and a cheeseburger kids meal for the little one. Drink refills? Non-existent, even when the waitress came to the table to deliver the food… we had to ask her when we(eventually) saw her later. Speaking of delivering the food, I’m sure those of you with kids have seen the scenario where the waitress puts the kids’ order in ahead of time, so they get served first? Yeah, not here. Our wings came out a good 5 – 10 minutes before my daughter’s hamburger meal, and she wanted nothing to do with the wings, so she just had to sit & wait, impatiently, with an empty drink cup. How was the food? Well, my daughter ate the fries and took maybe 3 bites of the hamburger. My husband apparently enjoyed his wings, but he stuck to the«normal» flavors. I tried to be a little adventurous and decided to try the«Canadian» sauce on my wings… Maple & Cinnamon. Ugh. My advice: Don’t do it. The first bite is interesting, but beyond that, it’s far too sweet. Some of my wings were overcooked, and although I didn’t try it, the munchkin’s burger looked really dried out too. In summary, if you are in the mood for ridiculously slow service for mediocre food, this is a good option.

WOW cannot be serious about being a real restaurant — the food is a joke. Rubbery, wrinkly, flaccid wings with tasteless Buffalo sauce. Asked for bleu cheese dressing on the side. It had not a hint of bleu cheese flavor and was not chunky at all. It did have copious amounts of black pepper in it. Texas toast was SOGGY and crushed. Nothing was made with pride or care. They should be embarrassed to serve this dreck to people. Shameful.

I swore off WOW a few years ago due to a major problem with inconsistency, but I’ve never been to the one in the mall and on a recent trip to Clearview I was struck with hunger pangs and the smell of buffalo sauce lured me in. I was greeted immediately and seated, it was lunch time it was at 70% capacity. I ordered a grilled chicken buffalo wrap with buffalo II sauce, which is the medium level heat. The first one is for pansies and the hottest one is too hot to enjoy so like Goldie Locks, the one in the middle is just right. The wrap was $ 10 and came with a side. The contents in the wrap were evenly dispersed and generous. I can seriously put away some food when I’m on the brink of hanger and I ended up taking half of the wrap home with me. I also tried the boneless wings and those were good too.

Went to a movie, and wanted some wings after. The weather was crappy so instead of going to Hooters, or the new Buffalo Wild Wings we settled for Wow café and wingery. I have eaten their wings before, and they didn’t, suck. Sat down and was greeted promptly by a sweet waitress with no voice. She was not sick, or sickly. It was Sunday, I have had many Sunday’s where my voice was shot from a weekend of partying. I checked in immediately and there was a «Yelp!» coupon for free chips and salsa!!! I ordered drinks for my family of six, and my chaotic bunch had not yet made a decision so I asked for the chips and salsa to buy some time for some of the more indecisive young ones. Finally a decision was made, and our seasoned waitress was right there’d to take our order with chips and salsa in hand. The wife ordered a grilled chicken salad, one kid wanted Mac& cheese, one wanted cheese casadia, and the rest wanted wings. Our waitress looked me in the eye and said«I think we are still out of wings. I’m so sorry. «I asked if she was kidding. We settled for boneless wings(yuck). Food comes out at different times, with the boneless chicken coming out first, 2 minuits later the Mac and cheese, then the casadia. No sign of the salad. WTF!!! I asked about the salad and our waitress, almost in tears said the kitchen was having issues. The chicken salad finally showed, the«grilled chicken» was refridgerator cold. Wife sent it back immediately. We ate, got the bill, and I tipped our waitress well, but I will not eat there for a while.

1) WOW, Food in Terminal D, New Orleans is run by folks who don’t give a rats butt about customers and their time while in airports., Ms. Shouran, working there didn’t care that everyone has to stand in line twice, once to find out their food is in a rack, out of site, on the other side of their counter, and again, to pay for it, and that only 2 folks at a time can look at the food to read each small label and see what the food is. They don’t seem to get it that a SIGN on the front that says FOODONTHESIDE — or TURKEY here and HAM here on their racks could make life easier and faster for everyone. If they don’t care about your time, how can they care about your health… who knows what’s in the food, but you won’t be able to come back into the line to complain after you find out. I’d say buy chips, save time and frustration.

The wings were mediocre. Maybe it’s my fault for not knowing what to expect from all the exotic wing flavors. The chicken was hot and cooked through, so that’s a plus. The fries were better than mediocre, but not fantastic. Our server was pleasant, but with our being one of only TWO tables in the entire place, it was incomprehensible how long it took to get our food and also to have our drinks refilled. There is nothing I hate more than having to look around for a server hoping to make eye contact — especially when said server is not anywhere on the floor for extremely long periods of time.

I decided to give Wow one more shot last week. My girl and I decided to get some wings/strips before heading to see a movie. We also missed our movie since the service here was glacially slow. We were seated near the entrance to the kitchen so I could get a good idea of how many people were working and how busy they were. The place wasn’t crowded to capacity, maybe between ½ and ¾ and I counted 4 or 5 wait staff. Despite this it took over five minutes just to have someone take our drink order and a similar amount of time to get our drinks. For our entrees we decided to go with the $ 6 lunch deal of the day which was chicken strips. It’s a good meal at a good price and the food was really good. However, it took forever to place our order and almost 20 minutes to get our food. This left us with about 10 minutes before our movie started. We were seated with about 45 minutes. I asked for the check the moment the food hit the table. After all this time of being seated we had to ask for silverware when our food arrived as well as ketchup. Our silverware arrived five minutes later, the ketchup never did. I don’t know if I’ll be returning here any again, certainly not any time soon. I’ll probably forget how slow it was and sit down again but hopefully I’ll check my old review to see what I thought of the place. The food was great and the sauce delicious but the service was downright horrible.

when I want wings, and I’m in the mall, I come here. they’re pretty good. no flavor explosions. but good for what you pay for. I was especially disappointed with the gumbo. I know, you don’t come here for the gumbo, i you do expect it to be pretty tasty… it wasn’t.

I bought one of those DoubleTake Deal coupons for WOW a couple of months ago and finally got around to using it. We stopped in for a quick meal Sunday evening about 5:30. Apparently, that was a pretty unique idea as there was only a couple of other tables filled at the time. No matter… Cute décor consistent with the Mall setting. There are lots of TVs scattered around the bar and restaurant including one at every table. Service was quick and friendly. Decent bar selection. As a long time customer of the Anchor Bar, I have a little experience in what the classic wing tastes like. Since moving south, I’ve had the occasional craving for some decent chicken wings. Some early experiments at other local facilities convinced me to give up on the local wings and learn to love crawfish(a task I am still working on!) and turkey drumsticks(what is that all about?). I was pretty psyched to try WOW’s wings. The verdict… drum roll please… Decent sized wings, cooked very well, nice and crispy. I don’t know where the Buffalo wing sauce came from, but it wasn’t Buffalo. Seriously, not even close. Somebody from WOW — get on line and order some wing sauce from the Anchor Bar or Duffs… even Wild Wings. If was kind of a shame, they did such a good job cooking them. We also tried a salad(very average) and the veggie quesadillas — a little bland, but OK. Get some decent Buffalo Wing sauce and I will be back.

We sat at the bar and had some fried pickles and beer. Then we noticed that they have $.39 wings on Wednesday, yes, please, and thank YOU! There over a dozen flavors of wing sauce to choose from. We did half Buffalo One and half Italian Parmesan. Next time I would opt for Buffalo Two for a little more heat, and I didn’t like the Italian at all. It tasted like Italian dressing with Parmesan shreds, not horrible, but not my favorite. It was A-OK, for happy hour at the mall. There were some interesting beverage options like $ 3.99 margaritas and a daiquiri called«Chalmation». I’m gonna stick with Abita on draft. They had both Amber and Andygator on draft, nice!

I rate chain restaurants based on the particular location not the whole chain in general. I been to wow many times. first time at this location. my chicken tenders were not cold but they do appear to been sitting for awhile. normally they are so hot you cant eat them. and i hate luke warm food. wife got the roastbeef poboy. i tasted it. it was pure garbage, they should be ashamed. my wife was not even finished eatting and they were already asking if we needed a 2go box.

The most vile dirty place to ever serve food is, well, right here. The wings were terrible, fried were cold even though we waited 20 minutes to receive them. The chips and salsa was well tostitos and pace picante. The service was a bad as the meal. We were desperate for wings when we went here and couldn’t fathom taking a baby to Hooters or any other bar for that matter. I am still hoping and dreaming for a Buffalo Wild Wings to open up in Metry

I was given a gift certificate so I took my husband here for dinnner one night. We ordered a salad, wings, and ribs. They had a good selection of sauces, and I enjoyed all three of the ones that we selected, but the wings were very small and dry. The ribs were also very dry and barely had any meat on them. As for the salad, it was drowning in salad dressing so I had to request for more lettuce to add to the salad. I’ve heard good things about Wow before, so I’m willing to try out another location. I think since it was a quiet night in the mall, the food wasn’t as quite good as it normally would be. I’d try it again, but I’ll hit another location next time.
