Has a meet up dinner with some friends here. The food was not bad. Waitress was attentive and helpful. Definitely coming back.

First let me start by saying that our waiter, Dana was amazing. He was attentive, knowledgeable, charismatic, and great at what he does. I’m a huge fan of Zea’s restaurants. I absolutely love everything I have ever ordered at this restaurant. Their food is fresh and cooked to order. On this trip the sandwich my husband ordered didn’t come out as he requested. Once brought to Dana’s attention he gladly took it away to have it redone. A few minutes later he came back with The plate and informed us that we can still have it, if anyone would eat it, bc he hates throwing food away. Now how awesome was that? So many times when a mistake has been made the people just throw it away, but not in this instance. My grilled chicken breast was a little over cooked, but it was still quite tasty. Overall my experiences at this restaurant have been very pleasant which will keep me coming back again and again!

Great service! Good hummus! But as for the soup and main entrée, not so good. Good came out cold. I don’t mean frozen but not even slightly warm. The foods taste was even off. The red bean soup was possibly the worst thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. The canned bean taste was horrible, plus the taste of Mexican spices that just ruined it all. If someone comes to Louisiana and thinks that is red beans, I feel sorry for them. The pork roast and potatoes came to the table extremely cold and cold meat other than sushi is never good, unless on a sandwich, even the side of potatoes were extremely cold. Thank the heavens for an amazing server and Mediterranean hummus because that’s the only reason I gave 2 stars.

Great service, friendly staff, however the fact that they’ve cut the portions of everything from appetizers to side items in half will have us looking elsewhere. For these prices, I expect a good sized portion not a sauce sized bowl for a side. The spinach dip isn’t even enough to feed 2 people anymore.

I love Zeas. I went there last night and the service was wonderful. Food was amazing and delicious. However, now at 4am, I’m in so much pain from obvious food poisoning. I’ve never gotten this sick from a restaurant before!

I have been to this location and their other ones countless times. Because of the inconsistency of the food and service, I haven’t been at any Zea’s in a while. But we were by the mall and thought why not. And were we glad we did! Completely blew me away… From start to finish, it was a first-class experience. We were immediately greeted as soon as we got there. We were led to a plush booth even though it was only the two of us. Drinks were immediately taken then the server comes and tells us the specials. He brings an iPad to the table and starts playing around and telling us about the cool things this puppy can do. By this point, he and my friend have become the best of friends, exchanging server stories and discussing how he iPad is making his job so much easier. Since we’re both past servers, he decides to hook us up and treat us like family. We both got to sample the special of the day: roasted lamb. Very flavorful and lean, both of us enjoyed it but didn’t know if we wanted to make it our entire meal. We ended up getting the Asian Almond shrimp to split for an app. I got the Thai ribs and she got the rotisserie chicken. Before we were halfway done with our meal, our server Dana comes back with their sweet potato bread pudding. Said he got that for us for being former Taste Bud employees. Both my friend and I had worked at Semolina’s. The same one at the mall. By this point, my friend and I are completely blown over by the level of service we had have. Drinks were constantly refilled, plenty of sauces, hot food perfectly cooked. So to add a free dessert in there? I immediately asked to speak to the manager. So less than 5 minutes later, the GM stops by the table with some go cups. We tell him how amazed we are with this whole dining experience. Hands down, the best service I’ve had outside an Elite event. And that’s the way I said it to him. He laughed and said they do their best to treat everyone right. And judging from this experience, they are! Will definitely be back very soon!

We went here for a B-Day Dinner we were invited to, with no reservations so we waited 45 mins for 12 people to be seated, which was somewhat quick on a Friday night. We ordered the Skyfall Merlot which was good. The service was good, even though there were 12 of us. The Sashimi appetizer was really good, love the avacados. Balsamic grilled salmon was great, no complaints. Our oldest son ordered the rotissirei steak med rare, but it arrived well done, he opted to enjoy it due to the time, it was seasoned well though. Our youngest son ordered the bacon cheeseburger, that was really good! The grits, greens and roasted potato wedges we all great. Overall, you really can’t go wrong with Zea’s it’s always a great fall back option. Yes they had a few issues but it was still a nice dinner, Zea’s always a winner.

Amazingly delicious. Although this place is a chain restaurant, everything we ordered was filling and great! Mojito was good. The grits was my favorite!!! Service was on point and friendly! Atmosphere was nice. The wait was not long as we thought it would be. We had ton of left over.

Zea has been a long time favorite of mine for many years. The last 2 times, however, the food just haven’t really hit the mark for me. Today we got the Trout Laffite and the Balsamic Salmon. For $ 22 dishes, I was expecting a little more. The trout was flat and kind of dry. The salmon wasn’t bad, just not $ 22 good. Aside from the food, the restaurant was very cold. Not a bad experience, just not worthy of a 4 or 5 star rating. With so many great options in the city, I don’t see myself returning here for a while.

I wish we had Zea’s in Chicago, yummm We sat in a booth at the bar and had the pleasure of having Jimmie as our waiter. I couldn’t decide between the tender pork roast or the rotisserie chicken and when I asked about the pork roast he brought us out a sample! That’s good service if you ask me. I went with the rotisserie chicken and my friend went with the ribs. The pork was really great but it had a gravy-like sauce, which I wasn’t so much in the mood for. The meat was cooked perfectly in both entrees. My friend said«omg yum this is fall off the bone ribs» and it was. This meal was like Thanksgiving in my mouth but better. I was a little bummed they didn’t have their mashed sweet potatoes(they are seasonal) but the butternut squash hit the spot. The braised cabbage and the corn grits were also delicious. It was all delicious. I’ll just use that word over and over again The restaurant was huge, there’s a huge bar and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere could have been better, it’s very commercial and cheap feeling in there but if I’m not mistaken it is apart of a mall? I’m not so sure. But with the quality of food, I think they could step up the feeling of the place a bit more. I don’t think you could go wrong with anything you order from here. My mouths watering thinking about the food and tears falling because there’s not a Zea’s where I live

I have been to the St. Charles location which is now closed but this was my first experience at this location. I have to say I really enjoyed every aspect of my visit. The menu is just the right size and offers something for everyone but at the same time they seem to be able to do everything really well which I very much appreciate. They have awesome rotating specials from the«rotisserie» that include some really delicious items at great prices. When I went I decided to go with the tuna steak(not a special) because I am a straight up tuna freak. For my two sides I ordered the corn grits and roasted corn. When the plate came it looked like perfection. I cut into the tuna and it looked amazing. I cannot even praise their grits enough, if you’ve never had them you are seriously missing out! The roasted corn was just ok, it was not very exciting, I would recommend trying something else. The tuna though was phenomenal. It was perfectly cooked and had the most amazing flavor. It was really delicious and filling, also a great deal. I cannot wait to come back here, they are so on point in all the ways that matter when you want a nice meal.

Now that the St. Charles Avenue location no longer exists, I come here whenever I get Zea cravings. I’ve been to a handful of area Zea locations and I like this one a lot because it has a very open and spacious feel. It’s also in Clearview Mall so you can get buzzed here then go to a movie, or do some buzzed shopping at Target, all within air conditioned comfort. Food wise, it’s like every other Zea so you should know what to expect. I really think Zea puts a great product out there for a great value; the Thai ribs are always a winner, as is the tuna steak, as well as most of their rotating daily features(try the lamb sirloin). A review for Zea wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the corn grits. Definitely a must get. I really like the drinks here too, especially the Spa Martini and Blueberry Crush. Pro tip: ALL drinks, cocktails, beer, wine, whatever, are 2-for-1 at the bar Monday-Friday until 6PM. Service wise, everything is spot on, as one would expect from a Taste Buds restaurant. Zea, hurry up and open your CBD location.

I hadn’t been to Zea’s in awhile but always enjoy it. Went for lunch with a colleague and had an excellent plate off the new healthy menu: roast chicken that was really nicely herb spice, a great quinoa with vegetables and sugar snap peas. So yummy that I didn’t feel like I was eating a «healthy» dish. My friend had a salmon salad that she enjoyed.

The reason I give this 5 stars is because the food is excellent, and is constantly excellent. Service is always quick and great! One of the best things on the menu is an appetizer called the tuna stack! The specialty of this restaurant is the rotisserie dishes. The rotisserie chicken is incredible and so are the ribs! I recommend the thai ribs. Also, they make a very good ribeye ! The best entrée is the fresh yellowfin tuna with a ginger soy marinade and orange basil butter!!! Incredible. As a side I would get the corn grits, which they do like no other. If you are in the mood for a sandwich, the burgers. Over all, if you are looking for a restaurant that won’t break the bank and is always consist and delicious, this is your go to place.

Zea is a chain restaurant, and with many chains, you get what you get. Not much wow factor or unique tidbits but you still may be able to catch a good bite. It is a bit more on the pricey side for a chain restaurant but some things aren’t so bad. For apps I recommend the Asian almond shrimp. It’s delicious fried shrimp tossed lightly in an Asian zing sauce. I love love the Mediterranean hummus and often order it as my entrée. The feta, sun dried tomatoes and everything mixed in with the hummus makes it the most flavorful hummus I’ve yet to enjoy. whatever dish you order I recommend trying the roasted corn or the corn grits. They are my favorite two sides!

Came here basically for two reasons: 1) The place was highly recommended by co-workers familiar with the area /place and 2). It was right down the street, just a short drive down Veterans from our hotel. Came with a rather large group(~ 16) and since there was so many of us, we decided to head to the bar area to wait for our seating accommodations. Much to our surprise, and even without a prior reservation, were seated before we could even finish our first drink!!! Service here was not only friendly, but prompt as well, especially given the fact that we had such a large group!!! I ordered a 12 oz. Rib Eye,(I believe the only other option was an even LARGER cut), a side of steamed broccoli and an order of red beans and rice. I have to say, that was one of the best rib eye’s(short of my own), that I’d eaten in quite a while!!! Will definitely try them again on my next visit!!!

It was a Saturday night and we wanted a quick, but still somewhat healthy dinner. That’s the tricky part — somewhat healthy! Fortunately, zea’s is always a good option for that. We stuck to our regular menu selections — hummus flight, philly beef panini, asian salad, rotisserie chicken. This visit was especially wonderful thanks to «Esau R.» While we were there during peak times, we did not have to wait long for anything. Everyone was hustling, especially Esau. I recently started keeping track of how long I have to wait for water, and how many glasses of water I am given per meal. Esau rocked it out of the park. 4 glasses of water! Thank you, Esau! I need 4 glasses of water with my meal, but most places only manage to serve me 2. This leaves me with an empty glass for most of my meal. If there were 6 stars, Esau definitely would have earned Zea’s that additional star. I have recently been dissappointed in a few of my local favorites, but this particular Zea’s location is always reliable on every count. Great atmosphere, great service, amazing quality food that is always consistent. This is thanks to the staff at Zea’s! No matter how good the reputation, the staff are the people that can either slaughter or uphold a restaraunt’s quality.
