If i could give a negative note, I would. I went to see Ricardo for some highlights. 4 years ago, another hairdresser fried my hair, so obviously, since then I’ve been reluctant to go see a pro and I only trimmed my hair every 3 months in a salon in Coral Gables. My hair grew to be super long, beautiful and healthy. Wanting to pamper myself and get a professional service, a friend of mine recommended Ricardo for some highlights. She told me she was using his services for a long time and never had any issues and her hair looked healthy … OK, cool, I felt safe booking an appointment. She called him prior to explain the bad experience I had before so he would take extra care with my hair. Well 2 and a half hours later and $ 250, that Ricardo just F… ed up my hair again. I am livid, I can’t believe how bad his work ended up to be. With my natural dark blond base, he managed to give me gray/white looking highlights. It looked like a skunk, very unnatural looking, with horrible roots and on top of that he fried my hair. When I told hm I didn’t like it, he said: «Well, it looks fine to me.» I mean… really??? I went directly to Sally’s beauty to buy demi permanent color in order to hide this horrendous mess. I already spent over $ 200 in hair products in order to try to save my hair, but I’m going to have to chop off at east 2 or 3 inches… I just can’t believe it. All that to say: AVOIDATALLCOST! I hope my review will save someone’s else hair.

I was staying around the corner, was on vacation and was in dire need of a pedicure. Usually when I see a non asian viet crew doing nails I immediately think — this is going to be triple the price. Anyways, wonderful service. Quick walk in service. Beautiful long lasting pedicure. I wish I could remember the girls name who did it, but she was blonde, new to Miami from the midwest, and she was very professional. Great job. Also was served tea and good chit chat. Very good foot massage. Overall, would definitely return. Prices on par with typical salon. My pedicure was about $ 30.00 I believe.

Honestly, I’ve been getting facials all over the beach and this place is by far the best one I’ve ever had!

New York ladies will understand this review. You know when you walk into a NY nail salon, and the Asian girl screams at you«Pick Colo!» «Sit down!» and you know the next 20 minutes will be the most fabulous, needed, moment of peace you’ll have until you do it again in 2 weeks? And your pedi only runs you $ 20, maybe $ 15 and lasts you over 2 weeks without a chip in it? And you walk out of there with dried, beautiful, clean toes ready for your sexiest strapless and a night out? It’s wonderful isn’t it?! You don’t get that in Miami. In Miami you get a dimwit counter girl who half heartedly acknowledges you as you walk in, clearly more interested in her cell phone than doing the job she’s getting paid to do. You get some latino woman who doesn’t understand what you as a paying client wants. She smiles stupidly at you as if she understands what kind of pedicure you prefer like round or square filing? Push back or cut cuticles? Warmer or colder water? She then proceeds to take 45 – 60 minutes to complete a «pedicure», moving at a glacial pace, painfully testing your patience. Once completed and upon inspection you find numerous flaws, only to be told you now need to fork over $ 35-$ 50 not to mention the already wasted priceless time. Needless to say I’ve been doing my own pedis for quite a while. But after a barefoot music concert I needed professional help so I read Unilocal and most of the reviews were meh, except for Lindsay’s so I too decided to try Honey Doo, however more specifically TOMMY. Let’s just say I found my little piece of NYC in Tommy and am ecstatic! FINALLY I am able to enjoy those fast, beautiful and long lasting pedicures, at a reasonable price, and the big plus is that Tommy had me entertained the entire time. I’ve already gone back to him to get my eyebrows corrected(yes ladies we all know we can only pluck one eyebrow correctly and that the other doesn’t quite match!) and I’m in brow boot camp! Trust me. Just walk in. The salon is nothing spectacular, nothing«Miami», it’s plain and no-frills, but Tommy’s talent and speed is legit. You won’t regret it. Especially if you’re a SATC kinda girl ;)

Just finished a shellac manicure and pedicure. Amazing. Tommy is a must see and they only oneI see here. I’ve read other reviews that were bad. But on a recommendation I went. And boy am I glad I did. Tommy went above and beyond. Since he is only here on Mondays and Tuesdays I recommend coming when he is here. Very patient and more of a perfectionist than I am. Will be returning

The Unilocal deal doesn’t exist. yes i showed the person at front desk the deal, and she said«yeah thats us» but after all the services I’d done their, i had to pay 160. I talked to tge owner and got very upset when she said she didnt know who put on the deal. Well, the only thing i like about this place was the haircut with Maiko(idk if i spell her name right). She was professional and even give me a lot of advice about hair.

Ummm so I emailed them inquiring about a couples massage on Sat… called in Monday, the guy answered & said they were closed Sun & Mon, and I didn’t get a response because the girl who answers emails isn’t there. Fine. It’s not Friday… I still haven’t gotten a response. Yet I received 4 responses from other spas, less than 24 hours after I sent them out. SMH. Not cool. All I want to know is if you offer couples massages, since it isn’t listed. If you can’t answer a simple email, I wonder about the rest of the spa. Customer Service is #1 people, get on it or your business will fall!!!

Yes, they do exist! I had a groupon and went and they were very accomodating. Had an excellent facial from a woman from New Zealand who really took her time and talked to me for a while after about different skin care options. It’s not a big, fussy spa but the facial was actually better than some I’ve had for twice the price(not to mention the groupon). Would definitely go back again as the prices are right but maybe not the spot if you’re looking for water amenities or plush robes. I’m guessing they are new which is why Diane might be having difficulty getting in touch. Hopefully they will answer her if they haven’t already!

Do they even exist? They had a Groupon yesterday and I called all day and sent 2 messages via their website ‘contact us’ page and still no answer. Their voicemail message isn’t even set up.

I found honeydoo on and the spa mani and pedi sounded really was a mani and pedi with reflexology and a tropical scrub with shea butter.ect.just sounded nice! The swedish sounded great and the prices were pretty good. However these days if you want quality most of the time you have to pay for it. I was about ten minutes late for my appointment and called 15 minutes prior to my time to ask if thats ok. They said yes and it would not take any time away from our scheduled appointment. When we arrived there was no receptionist at the door and we had to wait for someone to acknowledge we were there. Finally a very nice lady with limited english greeted us and told us she can take my partner right away for a massage. She then told me I would have to wait a freakin hour after my partners massage for my mani/pedi.So we left to go to a internet café next door to find another spa. Five minutes later they called and told us they will do my mani/pedi in 15 minutes. The girl who did my serives seemed to force niceness and seemed to be over her job. Another lady came over for a man/pedi and that caused the girl doing me to super rush through my 40 dollar pedi!!! my reflexology was maybe 1 to 2 minutes but she did do a great job on my feet and nails. totally glowing! There was a very nice and fabu openly gay man who was the highlight of the partner told me the owner who was on premises was very friendly as well. Would I go back.?Maybe
