The food is alright… main reason for bad rating is the mean bartender. Very Aggressive to patrons, felt like I was being threatened every time asked for something, do they even want me back? Who knows, the staff is rough… be careful, think twice about coming here…

I had the opportunity to experience this establishment for the second time. This time however shortly after receiving a table and my non alcoholic beverage the fire alarm went of and some patron began to yell fire, however no one moved. After about what seemed to be eternity the alarm was turned off. The order was taken but brought out wrong twice. The waiter was apologetic So after waiting my food finally arrived correct but cold normally I would complain but it already started out WRONG. My friends meal however was nice hot and juicy since it was burger night. The loaded fries were phenomenal tho. I well definitely try it again. The strawberry lemonade was good on the lemonade light on the strawberries I’ll try my luck again next burger night.

The food is just okay, I usually come here to watch the games with friends. It’s a great place to meet up for drinks and standard bar fare. The drinks are always solid and they have some great specials. I’ve never had great service here, tho. I’ve been here on busy nights and slow nights and the service is always meh. I’ve seen multiple dirty tables, and servers standing around. I’ve heard people bickering in the kitchen and the bartenders usually have to be flagged down for a second or 3rd drink. I wish the service was better, because I love the décor and vibe of the place. Apeiro kitchen just opened up around the corner and if they got a few more flat screens, they’d take all the good business away.

A much better dining experience than I thought. Was the food amazing? Nah, but it was pretty solid. Bavarian pretzel stick appetizer was very good, especially with the cheese dip. The cinnamon butter that came with it was also ok, though too cold and hard to spread(and it didn’t match well with the saltiness of the pretzel — but scrape off the salt and it was tasty). For an entrée I went with a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon, fried onions, and BBQ sauce. It was immense and I thought it good. I went with the«loaded» tots on the side, which meant they had cheese, bacon, and giardiniera(Italian pickled vegetables, including carrot). Not bad, but the giardiniera totally overpowered any other flavors, so I ended up picking a bunch out. An odd and not successful combination. Service was very, very, friendly. Unfortunately the wait for dishes to come out of the kitchen was long. And appetizers/soup arrived at the same time as entrees. Which is to say: after a very long wait.

Besides the fact that I had already married and had 3 kids by the time they brought my burgers, they had Moses write the check on a stone because they took 2 centuries to bring it!

The burger is great but man the service sucks! The food takes forever to come. I ordered two burgers, got one and the other one took more than an hour to come. A friend of mine got here 30 min after I had ordered and got his food first. It’s almost 2017 and I still haven’t gotten my burger. And they tried to tell me I had gotten my burger. GOODONE I’M coming here again.

Got together with a group of friends here. We should’ve walked out the door when we saw the place empty for brunch on a Saturday. My review is solely on the food we ordered. We tried the buffalo wings, they looked good, but were WAY too salty. Wasn’t able to get through 2 wings unfortunately. Next I decided to play it safe and ordered 2 eggs with tater tots and pancakes. The only thing good about my dish were the pancakes. The tater tots were drenched in oil. The waitress asked how I wanted my eggs and I decided on «over easy». that didn’t happen. Not only one, but both my yolks were completely cooked. My friend ordered the exact same thing and both of her eggs were over cooked as well. I know cooking eggs is quite tricky, but don’t give me options if you’re not gonna be able to deliver! I’m sure I won’t be back for food at Louie’s.

Okay, so I’ve been here a *bunch* of times. More than I can count. And I find that I’m usually coming here because of logistics, and not because it’s all that great. I hosted my birthday here last year, because it’s the only place in the Midtown/Wynwood area that was reasonably-priced(on food and drinks), centrally located, indoors, and had the space to host a large party of people. To put it frankly, this place has never gotten it’s [stuff] together. My most recent venture here was about 2 weeks ago, and they are just as disorganized and slow today as they were when I first came here back in 2013. They still don’t even have someone to seat you or to, at least, a sign tell you to seat yourself. You still have to spend a couple of minutes flagging someone down to even find out where you can sit, or before you give up, sit down at an available table, and look confused. I’ll tell you straight out, if you walk into Bar Louie looking to eat and have drinks, and some group is doing an event(like I did just recently or like I’ve done in the past), just turn around and walk right out of there. It’s hard enough for them to manage things on a slow night, but if an alumni association or professionals group is having an event there, you can give up on getting anything within a reasonable amount of time. In my most recent foray, my friend and I just ordered sliders and a grilled chicken salad. That was it. It took about 30 minutes for that to come out, and the only reason we even sat there that long was that we hadn’t seen each other in a while and spent a lot of time catching up. Halfway through that time, I asked where the food was, because I could swear I saw it just sitting there in the kitchen. The bartender insisted the food wasn’t ready. So when the food came out — you guessed it — the grilled chicken was cold and the sliders were lukewarm. I could go on(and, to be fair, my experiences here haven’t all been terrible), but to sum it up — the food and drinks here are good(nothing outstanding, but good), but come here if you’re looking for a centrally-located place to only grab a drink or to eat only if it’s on an off night and you don’t mind a small wait.

I have never been here to eat so I will put that disclaimer up front. I have been here for drinks before but did not stay long enough to have a memorable impression. On xmas eve hubby and I decided we wanted to go bar hopping prior to going to our dinner reservation. We stopped by tried some of their holiday inspired drinks. I had their irish coffee and really enjoyed it. The rum chata infused whip was great! If I wasn’t looking to get full or saving my cals I would’ve ventured more. They seem to have some sweet deals going on the week day, and I’m willing to come back and try the food, but other than that it looks like a solid bar with barfare.

Service was good, but very slow. It wasn’t the servers fault. She juggled about 10 tables at once. Only server on the floor. Management’s fault for only schedule ONE server during happy hour. Stayed about 2 hours for one meal. Food was okay. No busser, the whole restaurant is dirty. My drink was okay, but my boyfriend really enjoyed his. Wouldn’t recommend if in a hurry.

Bar Louie is always a solid spot for drinks in the Midtown area. I never feel like I’m breaking the bank, and the pours are pretty strong. They have TVs with all the games on all the time, but I’ve never been when there are huge crowds of people which is nice. I’ve had a few items off the menu. The food isn’t stellar, but it’s bar food so my expectations weren’t really high either. It’s not bad, and prices are reasonable. If you want to go somewhere chill for drinks and a bite to watch a game, Bar Louie fits the bill.

Let me say it ahain. three stars is not a bad review. In fact, the Miami Bar Louie is another of those«Why doesn’t Unilocal have ½ star reviews» review since it’s closer to 3.5 and does go up once your server knows you’re there. It’s those first 10 to 15 minutes while you’re waiting to get served that the rating takes a hit. I’ve eaten at this location a couple of times since it’s been open: my 20 year high school reunion Happy Hour, various other sporting events and other«just because» and my experiences have been consistent. Both the restaurant and bathroom have always been very clean. This last Sunday I enjoyed both their meatball appetizer(a favorite of mine) and a medium well BBQ bacon burger. I have no complaints on the food, it was solid and tasty. The meatballs were served with plenty of marinara sauce and cheese, with an array of baguette slices. As far as the burger, it was packed with bacon and flavorful though medium well. Fries were also crispy, and they brought me extra BBQ sauce for the fries. All this yummiest while watching the Giants almost beat the Pats-ies on one of Bar Louie big screen TV’s.

I think America’s core values are based on Sunday Night Football and mouthwatering burgers! Bar Louie is located in Midtown which is a great spot if you’re looking to eat before starting your night or just having dinner with friends. I stumbled upon this name by chance on Unilocal and my sister decided to give it a try. I had the Fried Louie, which is one of their most sold food items and my sister had their limited edition mac n’ cheese burger that comes with pork. Definitely a must have if you’re there! They have tons of TVs so I’d definitely recommend this hot spot to watch a UFC fight, a Hockey game, basketball — anything revolving a sports night. Great vibes and two thumbs up.

Bar Louie filled the void for a good place to watch a game or gather for drinks with friends in Midtown. Hurricanes simply does not cut it and other good spots to drink may only have beer which alienates the liquor only drinkers of our group. Bar Louie has a great happy hour from 4 – 7 every day. This includes cheap craft beer(maduro brown ale and jai-alai being my favorites) and half price select appetizers. I always go for the buffalo chicken flatbread. It is incredibly good and perfect for eating at a bar with drinks. I have also eaten their breakfast burger with tots which was decent but nothing to write home about. Happy hour begins again at 10PM and the bar area can become decently packed in the evenings, especially during the weekend. Nice selection of music at that time. Catchy and loud enough to get your feet moving before you feel warm and fuzzy enough inside to head towards Wynwood and further libation. The go to meetup spot for us in Midtown.

Asking around for some happy hour recommendations and Bar Louie was a top pick! It is tucked away in the Midtown Miami Shopping Plaza. Now I am not one for many franchise feeling type of places, this one definitely excited me! We were able to get a free appetizer to start off as well as many drinks to this happy hour. The spinach and artichoke dip was warm and had a nice cheese taste. Tuesday had this the place to be! $ 1 burger, add a few toppings and it was still super cheap. This burger was filling and a great craving to satisfy my hunger. The setting is very TV bar with the bros, but also very cocktail hour with the girls. A nice mixture to mingle and get to know people. There are great opportunities to conversate here and we seriously lost track of time! Happy hour is a must! While staff can be a hit or miss with the service, prices are decent, and it is sure tasty here! Now lets see if I can remember all the crazy drinks I had here! I started off with a simple R&R martini. As most people know I love a good simple dirty martini, which led to the Rat Pack arriving. I started to feel more relaxed and then had an Effen Good Martini, which definitely was one of my favorites here. Lime juice and cool cucumber flavors blasting with the mint. Coconut Mint Lemonade was the sweet end to the night here. Skyy coconut vodka with a sour lemon kick, then the mint cools you off. Two of these were all I needed. Called my Über man and went around to Bar #2!

We were walking around midtown looking for a place to have drink and just stumbled by Bar Louie. The crowd seemed alright, the place is huge with a great large bar in the center surrounded by TV’s. We ordered a couple of drinks which were great. I had read some reviews that the service was slow but, I think they got on that and have improved. We ordered some appetizers to pick at and they were out in reasonable time. Not to mention they were huge! and delicious! We had the meatballs and bruchetta. Both were spectacular. They have a lot of great specials during the week(1 $ burgers, happy hour etc.) and brunch on the weekends. I’ll have to go back and check those out.

I came down to Bar Louie for my good friend Greg A’s birthday party. I’d been to a Bar Louie once before in Boynton and didn’t have the best experience(mostly because it was a freezing cold night in January and we sat outside — I was pretty much hugging the heater all night), so I was excited to give them another go. For whatever reason I actually had no idea Bar Louie existed in the Midtown shops and spent some time wandering around to find it — note there’s entrances on either side of the restaurant. I must say I loved the atmosphere and the layout of the place. It’s definitely a place with a great vibe to grab a drink or a bite to eat, but for some reason was kind of dead for a Saturday night. Made it easier for Greg though, and we easily got a table for 10 that allowed people to come and go on their own schedule. So yes, this is a good place for hosting a low-key birthday dinner without the stress of reserving a table for too little or too many. We started off with drinks. Must note the cocktail menu doesn’t list the prices for their drinks which didn’t worry me much, but something I hate. I started with the Berry Mojito which had a strange taste of cough medicine — so definitely a bit too much syrup something. After that I switched to a Mango Margarita which was much better. The group went back and forth on ordering food, and eventually I decided on a special — the charred Caesar salad and added portabello mushrooms. Overall the taste was pretty good, but the salad dressing was a bit too garlicky and definitely not something you should be eating on a first date. It was pretty unavoidable as the lettuce was drenched, and I even ended up having a bite of Edwin’s pretzel sticks to try and get the garlic taste out of my mouth(no luck). Overall I felt the service was a bit awkward. I will note he asked about separate checks from the get-go, so that’s a plus, but getting refills on waters or even ordering things seemed a bit painful — almost felt like talking to us was a pain on his end, maybe he was shy? Strangest part was at the end when we all paid our bills and he kept bringing back credit card receipts with no pen, and no little receipt holder/book. He kept asking us to share the one pen and put all the receipts into the little holder. Apparently this restaurant has a pen and receipt holder shortage lol, which is ok, but it was awkwardly handled by him.
