Here I sit enjoying great variety of beer in Miami. This place has great service, fast, and good southern food. We have a nice view of the fountain lit up with nice lights. It’s got nice music on not too loud. We enjoyed the place. Comfortable seats, friendly waitress

We went for lunch and it was a total for 3 tables full, the food took forever to come out and it was mediocre. Are me and my coworkers in a hurry to go back, the answer is absolutely not!

Poor taste in the bar tender. We were informed the kitchen was closing for their holiday party. Fine. Disappointed because we were looking Forward to eating there, she took it upon herself to believe we were being rude and disrespectful and yelled out«we can’t have a holiday party? Punk ass» Just thought that was uncalled for and hope she sees this.

When I went to Brother Jimmy’s for the first time, I asked to sit outside. A hostess told me I could sit anywhere, so I naturally sat directly in front of the bar to make sure the bartender saw that I needed help. There were three bartenders and not a single one came over until after we prompted the hostess twenty minutes later. From there, the server took another 15 minutes to bring water and 10 minutes after that to bring cocktails. I ordered something off the menu, without coconut rum because I’m allergic, and my friend ordered a gin & tonic. Not too difficult, right? My drink was made TWICE with coconut rum, and my friend was brought a cheap vodka instead of gin. So we again had to wait. Once our food came, we were… less than excited, I guess? It was fine. Nothing special about the sauces, the preparation, or the appearance of the food. It was just generic bbq food. I won’t be going back anytime soon.

Kristin is the best bartender. She usually works the outside bar but if she is working. highly recommended sitting with her. the service and attention is rare and the food her is great.

Went to this restaurant last Saturday night… I don’t even know where to start. We arrived around 9PM, there was clearly empty tables inside but the host said only the outside was available. So we sat outside. The waitress was nice but she seemed extremely overwhelmed and took a while to take care of us… I would say about 25 minutes after we sat down and ordered our drinks it started to rain, so we got up and took our drinks and waited for someone to help. No one helped, both the waitress and the host saw us and didn’t say a thing. We stood up for 15 minutes waiting for help, and then decided to walk over to the host and ask for help. Once again she insisted there was no available tables inside(even though there clearly was) and sat us in a different table, once again outside and once again uncovered. She got a dirty rag and wiped off the rain from the table and left. We had the same waitress come back and she had the decency to clean the table over again with dry paper towels. Now we were about to give up and leave, but we hadn’t finished our drinks. We ordered some BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos as an appetizer, and I have to say they were delicious. Their sauce is great and we really enjoyed them. It was the only good part of our night. We both got house burgers for entrees and were disappointed, they lacked flavor and just sucked. That was about it. Horrible experience, the only reason I’m giving them two stars is for those nachos…

Ambiance: fun fratty place to watch a game. Gets packed on football Sunday’s. Food: food is not great. There some delicious standout items such as the wings or nachos, but overall the food ain’t great. Service: service is pretty solid. Wait staff is good at handling large groups. I have never had a problem at any point with service. Overall solid 3 star sports bar.

This place has a great ambiance and excellent food. I’ve been here three times already and I’ve always had a great time. The prices for beer and drinks are very reasonable. Great selection of burgers and sandwiches, which they all taste delicious. This is a great spot to watch sports and hangout with friends.

I came for brunch on a Sunday and I instantly regretted it. I sat at the outside bar area and my server was Nicole, whom didn’t make eye contact and had a bitch face snarl every time I asked for something… this is Miami so I’m used to this, that wasn’t a big deal for me. Anyway, I order the pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries and it came out quick which was surprising but also I knew that it wasn’t fresh. Once I received my order I knew I was right, the sandwich was small and cold and the fries were stale… and the cole slaw I ordered was not included. I’m not one to turn down food so I ate it, kept my mouth shut, paid the ridiculously overpriced $ 15 for that mediocre excuse of a BBQ and left $ 0 tip. The best part of this meal was the sweet tea… $ 3.50 sweet tea which if it sucked I would’ve flipped out. Save your money and go to a REALBBQJOINT bit this Mickey mouse chain.

This place is loaded with fried(or calorie heavy) foods. So if you are on a diet or wanting to drop few pounds, steer away. Anyway… So i got the sliced lean brisket and it was loaded with fat. I could not enjoy it. The avocado and tomato side was very good. Service overall was very slow(the waitress was nice though).

Have been coming here ever since opening day. It is always a great experience. The staff and management are always very helpful and cheerful. Great experience for watching games and the food is perfect bbq. Love the beer towers and swamp waters. Even had the larger bucket of swamp water once. Absolutely fun place and would recommend for anyone looking to watch a game and eat some good bbq and have some delicious libations!!! Large screen tvs aplenty and even a larger projection on their back wall. Makes the atmosphere perfect for watching sports!

Came here for lunch with a friend at around 1 on a Wednesday afternoon. There was no one at the hostess station, the bartender at the outdoor bar didn’t seem to care that we were there, so we walked past the hostess desk and stood inside the entrance doors, waiting for someone to acknowledge and seat us. After 3 or 4 minutes, one of the staff finally saw us standing there, pointed us out to someone else who sat us in one of the booths. The menu here is great for what Brother Jimmy’s is, but on this day I wasn’t necessarily in the mood for proper BBQ, nor was I terribly hungry, so I ordered a BBQ chicken quesadilla from the appetizers menu, while my friend ordered a fried chicken sandwich. The quesadilla here at Brother Jimmy’s isn’t the standard flat quesadilla with small bits of chicken scatterd here and there that you get in most restaurants… Rather, there was a thick layer of chicken on this quesadilla with plenty of cheese, and it was so large that it really made the perfect lunch portion for 1 person. My quesadilla, his sandwich and 2 soft drinks came to just under $ 30 total. I plan to stop back and try this place for dinner, as I think it’d be a perfect option, and I like their outdoor seating area as well. Hopefully by then they’ll step of their attentiveness to arriving patrons, as when we first got here no one seemed to care. Not the best first impression to make!

I travel to Miami from Charlotte on business several times a year, and I don’t think I’ve ever visited without grabbing dinner at Brother Jimmy’s. It’s a taste of NCBBQ flavor in South Florida, and there are options for those of us with a «no pork» diet. The pull chicken platter is amazing. The atmosphere has a cool sports bar feel, but very relaxed in a family restaurant sort of way. The outdoor bar is a great place to hang after a day in the office. Not to mention this place is located in Brickell Village, which is a very nice area in Miami with great shops and restaurants.

It has a very chill and very fun atmosphere! They have sports all around on every TV and the vibe is very laid back in a good way. They sat us down right away and the staff is friendly. The food prices are very fair(about $ 8-$ 12 for a burger). I ordered a BBQ Burger which was delicious! One of the best burgers i have had in a while! The condiments were fresh and the meat was cooked to perfection. The fries were not that great. They felt like they were missing some sort of seasoning or were overcooked. The waitress was friendly when she introduced herself, took our orders and when she brought the food but never came by to offer us refills or check on us for everything. Overall, I plan to go back I just hope I get offered a refill next time! LOL

Please order the brisket sandwich which is delicious. The pulled pork sandwich was very good too. Draft beers $ 5 and house wines $ 7, which is reasonable. I’m not a big fan of the fries but the ambiance makes up for it. It is also the official UM&FIU bar which means during game day it gets cray cray.

The only reason I will come back to this place is … Hmmm… Can’t think of one… The only positive thing that I cant think of was our waitress. Attentive, kept refilling our drinks and took our order right. Well maybe the Hush Puppies… The maple butter was good… We tried to sit inside and the volume of the music was unbearable. Went outside and it was even worse… The waitress had a hard time listening to us… I don’t understand the concept… Trying too hard I guess… There are much better BBQ options in Miami… This is not the place to go if you are in the mood for Pulled pork or some Baby Back Ribs… I ordered the Baby Back Ribs and the meat didn’t want to come off the bone, it was dry and nothing BBQ about it… We also got a sample of sliders with pulled pork and brisket… The brisket could bounce of the table… It was so chewy and just awful. Maybe they should stick to their«club» idea and leave the food to others who enjoy the art behind BBQ…

I love pork ribs so had to try this as it claims to be famous. The corn cob side was amazing. Loved the side more than the main. The ribs were a bit dry for my taste. Sydney ribs are much more tender and falling off the bone than these were. Taste was also a bit average but I’m not sure if this is comparable to other southern ribs, the ones in Sydney were much tastier. The sponge cake was also a bit questionable. Customer service also a bit on the slow side. Otherwise a nice fun and relaxed ambience, would be good for a chill meal with some friends.

I just moved to Brickell and my wife and I were looking for Sushi and just happened to walk by this place so we decided to give it a try. We just moved from Los Angeles which isn’t really known for its BBQ so I’m by no means a BBQ expert but the places I have been to I always judge them by how good their Brisket is. Since I know it’s the hardest and longest piece of meat to cook you can usually tell how good any BBQ place by their brisket. My wife and I ordered three dishes, the pulled pork, the ribs and the marbled brisket. When the dishes arrived at the table my wife and I were like OMG we ordered way too much food! Each portion was so huge we could easily split one and here we had three. To keep this short the pulled pork was good but it was served only lukewarm so that’s kind of a minus. The ribs were better because the meat pretty much fell off the bone and they were served hot. I’m a dry rub rib eater and these ribs had a sauce but it was light and tangy so I liked it. Now I have to admit the marbled brisket was really really good. It was very tender and you can tell it had been cooked low and slow and had just the right amount of fat. It had a lightly smoked taste which I like. Overall I liked the place and will return. I would like to mention that our waitress Christy was super nice and very sweet. Once we told her we just moved to Brickell she told us all the cool places we should try and then towards the end of lunch she actually brought us a written list of all her favorite spots. That was very cool because you just don’t see things like that in Los Angeles.

You can’t beat FREE unlimited mimosas on a Sunday for brunch! I was told Brother Jimmy’s has the best Chicken & Waffles. Although not the best they were darn good. The chicken was seasoned deliciously over thin waffles. The only downside was that they give you 4 small triangular waffles with 3 chicken tenders. So I felt a bit jipted. Decorating the plate was a lil dab of whip cream and strawberries which added a perfect touch. I must admit I was not full and could go for another breakfast item. I also tried the monkey bread with Jameson from one of my friends and it was DELISH, very sweet almost like a cinnamon bun. The server was great especially for our obnoxious group of 15. Definitely willing to come back & try other items.
