5 stars on my experience of food and delivery service! My co-worker and I ordered food for our work place. It was my first time trying food from here and I saw that there is a location opening in Kendall so I will definitely be eating here again! I had the mongolian chicken lunch special and it was a huge platter that came with a portion of mixed fried rice and the chicken with an egg roll on the side. Delivery was quick and the man was kind which is always appreciated. Delicious and filling food but not too greasy like other places I’ve eaten from.

It’s not cheap but it is good. I recommend the fried rice, the shrimp are big and juicy and the pieces of ham chicken and pork are actually big enough to bite. Delivery is fast.

What you may not know about Confucio is that the restaurant originated in Barranquilla, Colombia. Probably not your first guess, eh? That being said, it’s my Colombian boyfriend’s go-to choice when we are craving greasy Chinese food delivery. Of course, these moments arise when we are either hungover, drunk or feeling plain lazy. We usually go for the Confucio special fried rice, crab ragoons and sweet and sour pork. In true Chinese fashion, the portions are huge, the service is reliable and the food certainly hits the spot each and every time! I’ve been to the actual restaurant before as well and it’s pretty casual and located in the heart of the Grove. A nice stop if you’re in the area and craving Chinese. While my boyfriend still deems his hometown outpost better than this one, I say live with what you got and enjoy every bite!

I have had lunch delivered from here several times to my job. Every time I have spoken to a profession English speaking person that understands me perfectly. The prices are reasonable and they are fast. They don’t open until noon on Sundays. I didn’t give it 5 stars because there are other Chinese food places in the neighborhood that have slightly a little better quality food. But all in all they give you a bang for your buck as well as fast service.

CLOSED! I spoke with the staff and I was told they are looking for a new location. Hopefully that information is accurate. For now, order from their location near Brickell.

Ordered the General Tso’s Chicken lunch special for around $ 10 and was pleasantly surprised. It comes with the super-special fried rice(or whatever) that includes shrimp, ham, pork & chicken. When I went everything was good. I got chicken & pork fried rice, which was delicious and tasty & the fried chicken was pretty damn good too. They have some really thin breading on the chicken which kept from getting soggy after storing over night. I’m sure you can eat it all in one sitting but it worked out to two lunches for me. I’ll try the honey-garlic chicken the next time, cause that is the standard I use to compare a Chinese restaurant to others. Pretty racist of me, huh?

Great location in the heart of Coconut Grove for a fast Chinese restaurant. Had the The General Tao lunch special which was quite good and was served promptly and efficiently. Portion was large and too much to eat for a senior citizen. Not only was there plenty of chicken but the large quantity of fried rice included still more chicken, dices of ham, and whole shrimp. Total cost including a beer: $ 12.62. Dine in or out and takeout is an option.

Not sure why this place got such rave reviews. It’s not very good. Granted, Miami is not known for its Chinese food, but this place is pretty crappy. There’s much better choices in the area, like Yum Yum on Coral Way. I ordered the General’s chicken and it was very lame. Flavorless and not crispy. The sauce tastes like it came from a jar. I will say this, the fried rice is pretty good and is loaded with stuff. Everything else is meh. Yes, the portions are big, but what good is that if the food sucks? Oh, and a little too expensive for what it is. A lunch combo and an extra egg roll should not cost almost $ 20! Definitely will NOT be ordering from here again.

It’s mall Chinese food. Not a Sears-is-the-best-store-here mall, but definitely not a piano-being-played-by-a-guy-in-a-tux mall. Like, just a regular mall, with a Gap and an Auntie Anne’s.

To preface: I am a young dude, not a foodie. I just like trying new things, good food and good value. I’m a commodities trader by profession, so perhaps I obsess over the concept of «value» more than most. I’ve found that the usefulness of Unilocal reviews hinges largely upon understanding the reviewer, so hopefully that may help guide you. I had a LivingSocial($ 5 for $ 10), and even if given the opportunity to purchase one again, I would not. So needless to say, I wouldn’t bother with the place at full price. Here’s why: though the portion size of the orange chicken(at $ 9.29 on lunch special) was decent, it wasn’t enough in quantity or quality to warrant a special price of $ 9.29. It fell somewhere between bland and tasty, and the side of shrimp(who knew? not me!) fried rice was dull. Came with an egg roll as well; a nice touch but certainly not a ’”deus ex machina” of sorts. It wasn’t a completely awful experience, as the takeout was ready on time and the meal did fill me up(though more on spongy rice than chicken). I did find a small plastic wrapper shred in the rice and a tiny brown hair, but the hair was similar to my own so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and carried on w/o a fuss. I can’t speak to the atmosphere of the place as I ordered takeout, but it didn’t seem… award-winning shall we say. One more thing: they didn’t give me a fortune cookie! how disappointing In summary, Confucius say: man who eat here might as well eat cardboard and save $ 11!

I used to love this place. They take forever to deliver but I overlooked that but the incompetent employees and management are too much to overlook. The girl who took my order on the phone hung up on me 3 times and then charged my CC when I canceled my order. I had to go there and speak to the manager who, btw, doesn’t speak english. While I was there the girl was insulting me in front of the manager who didn’t say a thing. WORSTSERVICEEVER! The chinese food is ok but nothing different from other places. I WILLNEVERGOBACKORRECOMMENDTOANYONE!

I am always puzzled when a restaurant starts strong and somewhere along the line things start going downhill. I’ve originally rated Confucio in the Grove 4 stars, but it’s gone down to 1 star. This weekend I ordered some chicken wings and they had feathers still on them. They looked like hair and it was really disgusting. That is a big red flag. The management is looking to save money and probably started changing vendors and lowered the quality. This is just an indication of the kitchen and quality of the food. The superior man understands what is right; the inferior man understands what will sell. — Confucio

This is the best Chinese food in the Grove, hands down. The portions are more than generous, the food is fresh and fast, and it’s got a contemporary, trendy style going on inside.

Insane portions, 2 can easily eat from one entre, and I can chow down like a hog! That makes the value proposition a very good one, it does feel a bit PandaExpressish but food is cooked to order. Be prepared to take food home with you!

Hurray – I’ve finally found my go-to place for American-style Chinese food in Miami! After trying at least 6 other Chinese places from Coral Gables to South Miami, I declare Confucio Express in Coconut Grove the winner by a landslide. The food here is very good — the dishes I’ve tried all have nice and relatively complex flavors that aren’t overwhelmed by grease. For example, we could actually taste the ginger in the Mongolian beef and the honey garlic chicken is subtle with a bit of vinegar — not a gloppy sweet mess. Plus, the fried rice dishes are far superior to anyone else nearby with fresh vegetables and tasty meats. I agree with other reviewers that the portions are generous(especially compared to the competition nearby — I’m talking to you, Coco-Wok). It can take awhile to place an order for delivery(maybe new staff?), but the food arrives quickly and still hot. So glad to have found this place right in my own neighborhood!

Attention owners-Please please get someone capable out front! The food is really good, but the constant turnover at the cash register is taking it’s toll. The latest guy didn’t know what was on the menu, what the daily specials were or how anything is prepared. Very frustrating.

Decent express chinese food in the heart of the grove. This place feels buried away at the end of a shopping plaza across from the Mayfair. The decorations are bright and clean. The service decent and punctual. The food was good. I ordered the garlic eggplant(a very generously sized dish). It was more than enough for two people to share or leftovers the next day. The spring roll was crispy and tasty. I would eat here again or order it for delivery.

Ordered take out so can’t really comment on wait staff or the décor of this corner spot in the grove. They weren’t kidding at all when they wrote that entrees feed 2 – 3 people. I’ve had curry chicken for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the past two days. Not complaining at all because it was wonderfully delicious. I’ll nosh here whenever because the prices are fair and the food was good. Can’t wait to try other things on the menu.

Well this place was my favorite Chinese food in the brickell/downtown area. then I see a groupon and wait, yes it’s true, A NEWLOCATION! It’s tucked away in grand avenue in the ghost town of coconut grove. they have to build their name now in this area but without a doubt, they’re still delicious! Ordered 2 dinner specials, sweet and sour chicken and general Tao chicken and each comes with an egg roll… needless to say we both left food for lunch and went home happy.

Good Chinese food for a fair price. The fried rice was my husband’s favorite. I liked the Shrimp Lo Mein and General Tao Chicken. They do take out and pick-up.
