love the Cajun mayo on the subs! Juju’s sandwich is my fav, very fresh tasting.

You really won’t find this place unless you’re looking for it. Which is a darn shame. I’m sure they would have much more business if they came out into the open. However, I will say that the actual establishment is pretty charming. I love the atrium! And the décor inside is just perfect. The service was very good. Everyone was very helpful and polite. And the food was served quickly. The sandwich I had was YUM-O. Delicious with a capital D. If I worked in the area this would definitely be my go-to lunch spot. And I mean… DAILY go-to lunch spot.

L’Express, as my fellow Unilocalers have noted, is awkwardly located in an office building. But don’t worry, if you’ve got a head on your shoulders, which is apparently hard to come by on Unilocal(see reviews below), it’s not to hard to locate. The building is on the corner or San Remo Ave and Yumuri St. From this street corner, walk into the building’s atrium, and if you see a lot of fake plants, you’re heading in the right direction. It’s about 100 yards in. Alright, so now you know how to get to L’Express if you want to check it out. But let me save you the trouble: get your lunch somewhere else. I was honestly shocked at the 5-star reviews here. My sandwich was blander than an episode of The Big Bang Theory(I seriously feel bad for you if you watch that show, but that’s beside the point). What made matters worse is that this«hoagie» ran me over $ 10. As a professional«hoagie» appraiser, I would value my sandwich at around $ 6. Even the side salad was more enjoyable than the sandwich. That said, I should probably make a disclaimer. As a vegetarian, I ordered one of the only veg choices, the«Gardino.» Having fresh bread and flavorful veggies are necessary for such a sandwich to be tasty, and both of those ingredients were lacking. But, it might be possible their meatier options are better. Possible, but in my experience, unlikely.

If you work anywhere in the neighborhood… and even if you don’t, you MUST try this place!!! It may just be the best sandwich, wrap, or salad you’ve experienced. Always fresh and flavorful, you can’t ask for anything better. I’ve tried just about everything on the menu and never been disappointed. If you want try something apart from the ordinary, not to mention healthy, I highly recommend stopping by. Great service and Olivier himself should seal the deal. Definitely a hidden gem as it’s in the atrium of an office building, but don’t miss out!

This place is fantastic, as many others have said. Quick delivery, awesome sandwiches; I only wish it were open past 4! I either get the Frenchie or Le Club. I’ve been told they’re the most popular items on the menu, and for good reason. These are some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever tasted. Word of warning though: it’s inside an office building, and you can’t see it from outside. Very hard to find, and the parking is weird. Probably best to just get delivery if you don’t work in that office building.

We went here today after yoga class and — I’m sure I never would have found it on my own, my local friend Kelly told me about it. It’s hidden inside a big corporate park– there is a personal training studio for Pilates/TRX in there as well as a dentist etc. This place is packed and very busy and Kelly said to me she usually gets a smoothie, which is huge, and then a «mix and match» meal which she takes home. She told me they are always out of something on the mix and match. LOL She goes to order and they are like«we are out of fish. we are out of rice. we are out of THAT» and it went on for a while. She asked for several things and they were OUTOF that… it was a bit comical but you can see the food is soo great that maybe the locals just put up with service being a little rough around the edges. I got the Caprese sandwich– it’s made with cheese tomatoes and pesto not basil– very good, delicious, even though I have to be honest I prefer basil over pesto, but that’s not a complaint it’s my personal preference. I got a mix and match for later– with chicken, spinach and tomato and HOLYCOW– amazing looking chicken, and it takes a lot for me to go «oh wow that chicken looks great!!»(always dietiing and working out toward my next fitness goal it comes with the territory) — this chicken is to die for. I will post a picture. Kelly got a smoothie, she was raving over it and actually almost finished it– this coming from my Bff who usually eats ¼ of everything LOL. ;-) highly recommend this place and I know when I move here it will be a regular visit.

Wow! It’s a small place inside a corner building. Don’t be fooled. it’s really there. VERYGOODSANDWICHES! we finally feel like we are back in Europe. Owner is from France and a very nice guy. I got the Gardino she got the San Remo. Both are fantastic. The chips are good too. Sweet potato and Maui onion. A tad salty on the chips but still good. The macchiato was delicious as well. I hope this place is around next time we are in town.

One of the best places for lunch at South Miami! My favorite sandwiches are the Ya’ Man(chicken curry) and BLT. Their mushroom brie soup is wonderful and so is their carrot soup.

Our party of three had 2 Giardino sandwiches(artichokes, tomato, peppers, avocado, goat cheese and pesto on panini bread), a Ya’ Man(curry chicken salad and sundered tomato on a crunchy warm baguette) and a cup of American coffee. All of the sandwiches were served very hot, flavorful and a more than adequate sized portion. The bread was fresh and crunchy. The coffee was fresh, hot and very enjoyable. The restaurant was clean and the counter staff were polite and helpful. I recommend this restaurant.

I had just gotten out of a meeting and decided to come here for a quick bite, after all this place had been in my bookmarks for a while. Talk about a hidden gem. This place is inside a building tucked away from all the madness that is the Sunset Dr area. Since I was there for a quick bite, I didn’t go crazy with the menu. A quick glance and Juju called my attention. I ordered, paid, and was instructed to wait at a table. Few minutes later I was staring down a beautiful, warm piece of soft yet crunchy baguette with layered chicken breast, artichokes, sundried tomatoes, goat cheese and lathered on their signature cajun mayo. To say this sandwich was good is a severe understatement. This sandwich is clearly a creation of a mad scientist, someone who understands the basic concept of chemical reactions, explosions of flavor and its not afraid to use it. Although the chicken was really good, it was the contrast between the goat cheese, the sundried tomatoes and the cajun mayo that almost drove me insane. A delicious treat for the palate. Oh and I can’t say enough about the bread. Love when I don’t have to get into a chewing fight with my bread. The quality of the bread lets you appreciate the sandwich as a whole. Now, if I could move my office to this building, so I can eat here every day.

A hidden gem! This place can be a bit hard to find but there is plenty of metered parking all around the office building they are located in. I went here to meet up with a friend for lunch because it is close to my school and they had a tasty looking menu. And I was right! The staff was very friendly. The older gentleman, who appeared to be the owner, was walking around talking to the other customers and the over all atmosphere was cheerful. I complimented the cashier on her festive St. Patty’s Day nail polish, she was a sweetheart! I tried the Hawaiian panini and it was AMAZING. It was deliciously warm and there was just the right amount of pineapple so it wasn’t too sweet. I am not usually a big fan of dijon but it went so well with the panini. Paired with the maui onion chips(that comes with the meal), everything was perfect! I highly recommend this place for an overall cheap($ 10 for coke, 6inch sandwich, and chips), in a warm setting, with a terrific staff.

1st time here. Ate«San remo» had prosciutto, mozzarella, basil, etc. Good. And had the«thai chicken wrap». Ok hard to find originally… inside of an office building… surrounded by trees and shrubbery… good, will come again…

Merci a m’amie Paty D! Inspired by yesterday’s sandwich talk thread I decided to check out L’Express Sandwichrie for lunch today. Its a brisk walk from my office — enough exercise to ward off the itis — and tucked away but a great find. It is located inside essentially a greenhouse in the lobby of The Atrium office building in South Miami. Décor is a mix of retro wine and liqueur posters and old newspaper prints. They also have free Wi-Fi; ask them for the password. I enjoyed a pineapple chicken sandwich on French baguette. The bread was nicely portioned with chicken and enough pineapple thrown in the mix to give it a tart sweetness. Add chips, a soda and for $ 10 you have a good meal. I also got a latte that gives commercial coffee chains and an apple strudel that gave my lunch a happy ending. The owner was around and greeted the customers either at the table or as you walked out. I like that level of attention!

I’m a simple gal who loves nothing more than a great sandwich. I discovered this place thanks to my trusty Unilocal and I’ve been back enough times to know it’s one of my must stop places whenever I want an amazing sandwich!!! If you read my other reviews you’ll quickly realize that anything that has the word goat cheese on the menu is an automatic«pick-me» magnet for me. I ordered their sporto sandwich which is made of grilled chicken, goat cheese, and a spicy cajun mayo on a french baguette. It is served warm which automatically makes this sandwich go from good to spectacular. The bread is flown in from France half baked, and then they bake it the rest of the way in house. It is absolute perfection!!! Perfectly crusty on the outside– not so hard that it tears the roof of your mouth– and then soft on the inside. It is also not super doughy which is great because you have the perfect bread to filling ratio. They spread a nice amount of mild goat cheese on it which cuts some of the spice of the cajun mayo, and gives the sandwich a nice rich flavor. All together, the sandwich has a wonderful flavor profile that’ll definitely make you want to eat another! I’ve also tried their turkey sandwich and prosciutto sandwich, and they are also great. With every sandwich you get a side of chips so it’s not a bad deal. Add a drink and you’re looking to spend around $ 9-$ 10 for lunch. I’ve always found service to be great. The owner, who is French, is usually there, and when he’s not, his wife is. The first time we went she asked how we heard about them and I told her Unilocal led me to them. After we had ordered and sat down, she brought our table– all 5 of us– a homemade rice crispy treat which I thought was a very nice gesture. Maybe she was ensuring a good review, but even in subsequent visits she’s been just as friendly. Most people who come here work in the area so she knows them by name and she recognizes their faces. I think she does a great job in keeping a good rapport with her customers. So next time you’re craving that expertly made sandwich, stop by L’Express Sandwicherie– just make sure it’s during the week because they’re not open on weekends!!!

Best lunch spot in South Miami. That’s the headline. There’s probably other places nearby where you can get bread, lettuce, tomato, and some sort of X meat. The only thing that would cross your mind after your meal would probably be if you remembered to add that extra nickel to your meter. After your meal here, you’ll be wondering when you can come back. I had the quiche combo with a salad and a drink. Quiche was huge and filling, also delicious. My buddy got a ½ panini, soup and drink. He really, really liked it. Both meals were each about $ 8.95 or so. The menu is incredible and the service is great. It’s hidden. Away from corporate america. Your office, cubical, books, co-workers. It’s an atrium in an atrium. And they have ESPN on.

Hidden in the atrium of an office building, this place is worth the hunt. I was a bit let down at first when they told me all the chicken was sold out but, with an extensive menu, I had no trouble picking something else off of the menu! I got the«porky» panini which was a tasty blend of ham, brie, apples, and vinagerette! The staff was very welcoming, even sharing a piece of peanut butter nougat with me. I will definitely head back here soon to try something with chicken! From quesadillas to salads and wraps… I’m pretty sure I will have no trouble satisfying any craving.
