Moon O Sushi

Everywhere in Miami there are few consistencies you can find in sushi restaurants. Normally I can walk into any place from the Publix down the street to Ft Lauderdale and find a good spicy tuna roll… here it is not spicy nor what a would consider edible. They douse the roll in a «spicy» kimchi sauce before they bring it to your table (that isn’t explained anywhere beforehand) which gives it an almost sour/​fermented taste. Fermented+raw tuna=gag reflex. When the waitress asked if we wanted it to go (it was the only untouched plate on the table) I replied «No it wasn’t good”-she said «Oh, ok» and took it away. Also tried the again «spicy» fried tofu… it was just fried tofu smothered in sweet chili sauce-​I happen to like sweet chili sauce so we ate it, but with just a little thought it could’ve been great.

My boyfriend and I have been trying to go this this restaurant for months! We finally got a chance to go in for dinner this evening and were surprised at how busy it was. We had Tom Kha Gai for appetizer and the Phad Thai for dinner. Everything was amazing from the service to the food… definitely our new spot!

This place probably serves the best sushi in Miami. I’m writing a review because I can’t believe this place only has 12 reviews. I’ve eaten here over 30, maybe 40 times. The sushi… awesome, the Thai food… out of this world, the service… priceless.

The staff are always polite and very good service. I like the Mee krob appetizer. I would recommend you give it a try.

Never had such good sushi, is the best sushi in town. You will love the friendly staff. You won’t better prices anywhere else, guarantee it.

My wife and I visit this place ALL THE TIME. We go here whenever we are in the mood for Pad Thai. They have, in our opinion, the BEST PAD THAI in Miami!
It’s so delicious. The staff is wonderful and vert friendly! We go so much they know us now. Our Pad Thai family! :D

I am not a fan of sushi but I have had lunch here a few times and tried the Crazy Salmon. Surprisingly, it was delicious. The service was great. Very nice people. If your by the area, i would recommend you give it a try.

Fresh, delicious, sushi… and the added benefit of having authentic Thai restaurant co-​located so you can enjoy both!

FINALLY… A great sushi place with great food as long as sushi close to home! First time there took my 2 daughter & my neice. Completely astonished with their extensive menu and quality of food! Such a family atmosphere u almost feel like everyone around you actually lives in the neighborhood. The I Love Lucy Roll… Is too delicious to explain! BUT the patai noodle! oMG! My 3 year old faught everyone in the table for the plate! This place is YUMMY!!!

It’s located right next to Bangkok. I love their Sushi. I usually get the Spicy Tune Roll, Green Dragon Roll, or the Japanese Seafood Salad. Then i order some Thai food. My favs are the Shrimp Pad Thai, Chicken or Beef Panang, Chicken or Beef Volcano. and the Crispy Duck. Then for dessert the Thai Dough nuts are good and if you wanna spoil yourself order the Cheese Cake Tempura. Yummy

I love it when the wait staff is super and when the food is delish.
That is this place. They have a great dragon roll, and the teriyaki lunch special with the great little mayo sauce is a fantastic and very filling lunch deal.
This little place is in a strip mall on Bird Road and unless someone recommended it, you would probably miss it and it would be your loss.
They have a Thai food selection plus some yummy sushi rolls. I’ve only gone for lunch but I go a lot and they have made me a happy eater every time.
Parking is never an issue and the prices are fantastic for the food and service they offer.

I was craving Sushi and didn’t want to go so far to get it so I decided to go to Moon o Sushi. I have been here before but just to their Pad Thai as take out.
But today it was about the sushi. So the S. Girls headed out for lunch. We walked in we were greeted by the hostess and sat down very quickly. Right away we had menu’s and water at hand. Good!
This restaurant looks small from the outside but it is pretty big when you step inside. They have a very extensive menu and the price are rounded off so you don’t see the whole .99 stuff, which I personally cant stand. They also have a Sushi bar were you can sit and watch them prepare it.
We went a little crazy and ordered 5 rolls and Ginger salads each. Our roll selection was Sex on the Beach, Moon over Miami, JB Tempura, French Rolls (crêpe outside) and American Dream 2(fish, shrimp, eal, avocado, cream cheese). The waitress was bringing them out as they were being done so it was perfect. The rolls were fresh and very tasty. The JB is my favorite and it didn’t last long in the table. The bus boy was on top of things and was taking the dishes as soon as we were done.
We had a very nice lunch and were very please with the service. Our bill was under $ 60 for the four of us. We will be coming back again for our S Girl lunch date.

This place is in a shopping mall on Bird Road — it might go by another name also. it’s next to a restaurant called JJJ.
I’ve met a friend here a bunch of times. The staff is always nice and the food is always great. I love the Mee Krob appetizer (shrimp and sticky sweet and sour noodles) and I like their curry dishes. I’ve also gotten the Garlic Beef and that’s good too. There are always a bunch of people so this place seems popular and the food is always good. I’ll definitely go back here and I’d recommend trying it if you love good asian food.
