Shinju Japanese Buffet

great price, lots sushi but not best location because its kind of in the middle of the road/​highway not really near anything. but of all good price if all you want is seafood and sushi… if you want food than it doesn’t have a large selection. but overall good bargain and i would comeback again.

I love making a pit stop here every time I visit family in the area. I was introduced here long ago. Mama Linda the hostess is a friendly familiar face and will even at times sit down to have a lighthearted chat.
The selection of food is good and for the price, it’s hard to beat. I was telling my gf that if this was in Vegas they could charge fists of money. Until next time.

Mediocre sushi. Hibachi station is the best part of this place. Also, not much to choose from to eat

I have been here a few times and service and the food is always fresh and very tasteful. The sushi is awesome so is the seafood. It’s great for the family and big parties. Always enjoy eating here I highly recommend the place

There are better Japanese buffets out there. While the service is good, the good doesn’t rank so high. I’d rather go elsewhere.

The food is great but honestly the service is horrendous. The manager is great, but twice we’ve had waitresses complain that we don’t give enough tip and even say that we’re lying when we say we don’t have more money. Extremely rude and made us never want to go back again.

This is a place that I will never go back to again.
We were seated after 15 mins, the table was clean and organized. We went to get some sushi from the buffet which took less than 5 mins, by the time we came back to our table, we were surprised that the table was loaded with dirty dishes, we called the waitress she said we were actually seated on the wrong table, and we have to wait again until they find another table for us. They moved us to the other side of the restaurant. The waitresses were running all over the place, it was very chaotic.
The food was ok, they have a variety of sushi but it is not the best for sure. The taste was ok, but I would definitely go somewhere else have something more tasty for the same price.
If you care about quality not quantity then this is not the right place for you.

2.5 stars. The sushi selection was plentiful for a buffet restaurant. As for the rest of the food, I was disappointed. I was expected something Japanese but it’s no different from a Chinese restaurant. The choices were also very limited. Even the hibachi grill had little to no toppings (wish they added noodles to the selection). Ice cream was good (green tea flavor). Paid for $ 20 per person here for dinner. Would have paid $ 12 – 13 for what u got. I’ll only come back if the selection increases.

Excellent sushi, especially for a buffet. Been here many many times. I keep coming back and will continue to do so. I highly recommend coming to Shinju. It is the bomb for sushi and other Japanese buffet foods. Get off yo butt and get your sushi on!

Like with most all you can eat sushi place its either a hit or a miss. This was weirdly somewhere in between. Definitely worth coming here for lunch, for dinner? I don’t really think so, and I’ve been here for both. The serving size is very small, so be prepared to grab a bunch. I tend to just eat a bunch of sashimi. The coconut shrimp didn’t really taste like coconut to me. Overall its a good lunch spot, especially if you go with friends. For dinner, I would just shell out the extra cash and go to a better sushi joint.

It’s a nice buffet especially for the price. I had dinner here while my vacation. The food is quite ok and service is good.

Mama Linda makes this place great besides the wonderful food. Mama Linda is very sexy

To be a buffet I found it a little expensive compared to others around the area. It has a huge selection of sushi (for the sushi lovers). The food variety is not so diverse. Service was good, employees were friendly and very attentive. Overall rating is good, although I expected more food variety.

Were driving by and were looking for buffet and accidentally found this one. Very good sushi, with several flavours which I never tried before. Staff is friendly and very quick. Other food I didn’t try much, because I ended up filling myself with the sushi.
If you in doubt — go for it.

We pulled pff the highway on our wsy back from the keys. We chose this on a gamble, the parking lot was packed. It tutned out to be a nice choice.
Great selection of fresh sushi and a mice selection of rolls that wasconstantly being replenished. Had nice apps, edamame, seaweed salad, calamari salad, wontons, all were tasty.
The big hit for me was fresh clams in black bean sauce, spicy and delicious. They had lots of tempura, hot dishes, ribs and rice. They had crab and shrimp and a full wok area. The desserts were nice.
The service was prompt and friendly. Well worth 22 bucks!

The weekly dinner buffet is $ 20 and the weekend is $ 22. They also offered a takeaway for for 0.85 per piece sushi and $ 7.99 per pound hot food. The seating is quick and the service was efficient, filing our glasses, delivering napkins and taking plates.
The hot food station that I tasted were good tempura vegetables, dumplings, panko shrimp and spring rolls. The vegetable noodles and fried rice were good. The pepper steak was very good with tender pepper beef and seasoned onions and peppers. The sweet and sour chicken was also very good. The basil chicken and vegetables was good with little seasoning and basil but alot of fresh vegetables. With some fresh fruit dipped in chocolate sauce plus a few bite size cakes, this was a good value.
However, the best value at our table was definitely the sushi bar. This plating alone would normally cost $ 22 but add the oysters, clams and snow crabs, this is definitely a super value meal for sushi.
This is a great place for kids to try new foods including sushi plus have dessert.
Would likely go back.

Really enjoyed eating at Shinju, lunch was really good, an all you can eat sushi buffet for under $ 12 is really good considering 9 pieces of sushi at Publix cost $ 12.99 it is really great value in my opinion, I enjoyed a the rolls they offer, they have quite a selection, the wakame Salad was awesome, I like the fact that rhey have all kinds of food to suit all tastes. I will definately will be coming back again for sure

Went here today for my first day of vacation. It was great! I’ll even go again while here. I’m a huge sushi snob – and this place met my standards and in some cases exceeded! The salmon sashimi salad was fantastic. The fish is fresh and the rice is well prepared.
I’ve been to a few sushi buffets up north, Massachusetts, and there is no comparison! This place is really top notch!

Eat a lot of pretty good food, but eat FAST because they will stare at you if you linger to digest… I was happy with the overall experience until they basically hovered over us and stared rudely as I tried to enjoy my tea.
Bring the kids, eat, and run.

Bumped into this place when looking for a quick bite before a dentist appointment in the area. I generally don’t like buffets because (in my experience): 1. The quality of the food is not as good as in a regular restaurant and, 2. I don’t eat that much to get my money’s worth. So, after pondering for a bit I went in, they sat me down on a side room which had a carpet and with a funky smell. I then proceeded to pick and eat some sushi and salad items which were just ok.
A little bit after I was sitting on my table in a somber mood regretting my decision when the check arrived, it was only $ 12.91 which changed my perspective a little bit, I think it is a good deal for this price. I recommend this place if you don’t mind buffets, it’s a good deal for the price.
