I truly don’t understand how this restaurant has the high ratings it has. The main reason why I have been generous in giving two stars is because the back/garden area was very nicely done and has a very good ambiance to it; but the food and service were lacking. To the server’s defense, the outdoor/garden area was understaffed, but the food definitely did not make up for it. Also, I asked if I could substitute the vegetables and potatoes for just plain pasta for my dish, and it was impossible; which doesn’t sit too well with me since I didn’t ask for anything new or extravagant to replace two sides of which I was not going to eat and nor did I eat. The food was just underwhelming in where after all the hiccups it didn’t help the entirety of the experience rise up above 2 stars. It was lacking flavor, originality, and just the richness you would expect from a very well rated Italian restaurant.

While the food was good, the service was lacking. One of our party ordered the special fish a specific way. First, the waitperson forgot to place the entrée order, then when they brought the wrong preparation of that entrée– he claimed that it was the right preparation, but later ¾ of the way through dinner, he finally brought the correct preparation. We asked for water numerous times, but it was not brought Finally, my husband asked to take home lobster that he had not eaten. When we got home, he opened the container and there was no lobster. I can only speculate that they did not have sufficient staff for the number of customers

Took my sister here for her birthday on a recent Saturday night. They were PACKED. it’s a very popular place in the Grove. There were several people waiting. It’s also a popular drop-in place cause people know it’s good. They knew it was my sister’s birthday and they went to great pains to seat us as quickly as possible, and really make our night enjoyable. The champagne chicken is the best! So is the milanesa!

Probably the most consistent restaurant in the grove at the moment. Food: 4 Service: 3.5 Atmosphere: 4 Price: Moderately Expensive I’ve always appreciated that they have $ 12-$ 14 pastas on the menu. While the dishes are not large I prefer something I can finish rather than the standard $ 25 endless pasta bowls other places serve. Here they focus on flavor and plating. Also, don’t overlook brunch! There’s rarely a wait and the food is delicious and creative. This is a great date spot and also excellent to just hang out with friends. The communal high top by the bar is usually open if you can’t get a reservation…

Really enjoyed the fried olives, polenta and pasta with truffled cream sauce and mushrooms. We sat outside and it’s a nice experience. Would definitely recommend a trip here!

Great ambiance and service, the food was also of excellent quality. I had the pasta all amatriciana. Zabaglione for dessert was great, cheesecake not so much.

I went for Sunday brunch and I LOVED it! I had the lobster eggs Benedict! Sooo good! Great service and ambience. The staff is very friendly, I brought my puppy and they brought him water. The wait was also very short, all the other restaurants had a crazy wait of 1hr 30min and we walk by this place and they sat us right away! Very happy I tried this place and I recommend, will come again!

Arrived 30 min before the kitchen closed, still received service with a smile. Everything we ordered was delish, perfect ending to an awesome Sunday. We had the meatballs to start, I had the fettuccini bolognese and my friends had the seafood ravioli(didn’t try it but looked yummy, she said it was really good) and pappardelle(deelish, I tried it). Dessert consisted of tiramisu and crème brûlée(as usual), both hit the spot. Second time here, would definitely come back.

I had been wanting to visit Strada for the longest time since it was always packed with people when I would pass by. Tonight I got to try it for the first time and it fell very short of my expectations. We ordered the truffle fries. They were okay. We ordered the mussels cooked in white wine. That was tasteless. I ordered the pappardelle with porcini mushrooms and I was not impressed. It was missing a «kick». I think it would have tasted a lot better if the white sauce was sautéed with garlic and sage. It was missing something, but I think it was missing something like that. My husband had the bolognese and he wasn’t crazy about it. Sadly, I think my favorite thing was the bread they brought in the beginning. On a positive note, the place is very pretty and the service is good. We really hope that we just chose the wrong items to order. We may be back in the future. Hopefully they add some flavor soon.

Nice neighborhood spot. I would give it a 3.75 if decimals applied. The best thing we had was the egg with prosciutto, truffle, and chips. Very rich but very delicious. The balance of the meal was good but nothing too stand out. Solid Italian food. Very reasonably priced wine mark up as well. Nice atmosphere

Tonight was my first time at this restaurant with my boyfriend. We were greeted with a big smile by Jean at the door. I have to say, this review is mostly because of how outstanding this man was. We had our chairs pulled out for us, our napkins placed on our laps, and had our experience made sure that it was nothing less than amazing. The server was very nice as well, and we felt attended to throughout the entire experience. The food was also delicious and came out at a reasonable time. I will definitely be coming back for the food, but mostly because of the impeccable service. Thank you Jean for your charm and humor throughout the night! We will be returning, often.(:

I have been wanting to go here for a long while but hesitated because of the Unilocal reviews. The food here is mediocre, tasteless cold and dry. Coconut grove struggles for good restaurants.

This is the gem of Coconut Grove. Casual elegance and honest to goodness tasty food. The service is very friendly and on point. It’s great spot for a date or to bring out of towners to show what the Grove has to offer. We love this spot.

The ambiance was nice. The waiters were very pleasant as well. The food was a disappointment however. The coffee was nothing special. I’ve had better coffee at cheaper French restaurants in South Miami. $ 16 for a bland pasta and broccoli with a bit of sausage which was their special for the day. The dish needed a lot more flavor and was grossly overpriced for what it was. I also thought it was undercooked but that just depends on who you ask I supposed. The Panna Cotta dessert however was very delicious. One of the best desserts in an Italian restaurant I’d ever had. Overall, the experience was decent but the food wasn’t good enough to merit the price tag.

Visited Strada this past weekend and was very pleased with the food and service. The back dining area is very private and nicely decorated, however, needs better ventilation, especially with Miami’s humidity. Other than the nasty humidity everything at Strada was perfect!

I have always walked by but never knew what they serve. It get packed really fast so call to make reservations in advance. For appetizer I had the meatballs which was good. As a main course I had the Ravioli d’aragosta Homemade ravioli stuffed with shrimp and crab meat confit, with creamy lobster sauce. It taste a little fisher which didn’t bother me at all but could bother some people.

I came here for Sunday brunch with my family. Our first encounter was the host asking us if we had a reservation. When we said no, he proceeded to say they only had one table available that required you to move the whole table to get into the booth portion, which was extremely awkward. It was a community table right in the front, which isn’t a big deal except for having to move the table every time someone needed to get up. Luckily, it helped us start a conversation with the people next to us about how strange the table was. Anyways, this was also awkward because the restaurant was practically empty and stayed that way the entire time we were there. So moral of the story is you probably should make a reservation to avoid sitting at this table. As for the food, I was delightfully surprised at how good it was. I assumed the somewhat snobby staff was going to set the precedent for crappy food, but I was proven wrong. I got one of the sandwiches with the fresh burrata on it. My dad got the eggs benedict. Our service could have been better, but the food was very good.

Nothing short of five stars. The wonderful«restoration like» décor and intimate interior won me over from across the street, while I was waiting for a table at Bombay Darbar. Despite not having a reservation, the sweet hostess was incredibly efficient and sat us at one of the best tables in the house: corner by the window. The bread is fresh and addicting, garnished simple herbs and sea salt accompanied by olive oil, I could have had that for dinner alone! However we felt like indulging as you will see : Appetizers: Lightly battered Shrimp with Tarragon sauce and balsamic reduction. So great!!! Salmon Tartare, which was very good also. Meatball and Polenta cake had a beautiful fresh homemade tomato sauce, but the least favorite of the night. Entrées: My partner chose the Branzino, which was a fantastic dish! Recommended! And I went for the special: Almond encrusted Trout with potato gratin. This was incredible and the highlight of the night. Wish this was always available. All in all, I love this place and its a great addition to the grove. Can’t wait to return!
