Awful service, we were a group of nine, and after 2.5 hours of waiting we hadn’t got most of our order. There was hair in the tea twice and the waitress’s hair was getting into the food while she was serving it. When we complained to the owner he showed no respect and told us we were doing so to get a free food!!! 2 other customers were very dissatisfied and left the restaurant without paying… I don’t recommend this place whatsoever!!!

Literally sitting in the restaurant as I write this. This place is the worst buffet I have ever been to. There were 2 tables in the whole place. It was 7:30 on a Monday they close at 9:30 so it wasn’t like it was close to closing. The major issue that concerns me is the food not being up to temperature. Everything was luke warm. Even the raw meat they use for the hibachi. I’m not sure how this place passes health inspection. There is also only like 2 servings of food in each dish. Not just one entrée but every single entrée. How can you even think that looks presentable? I came here because 2 people I work with told me it was great. I drive 25 min for the worst china buffet. I am so disappointed and concerned that I might be sick later from the room temperature food just sitting there growing bacteria I’m sure. Now I need to term out my co-workers and take them out for a real china buffet.

I was a bit disappointed with our dining experience. We are a family of 4 and generally enjoy a good Chinese buffet. It started off with the waitress not very happy that we only ordered water and hot tea. We seemed to bother her once again when we asked for a seafood cracker for the crab legs. The sushi buffet is tasty and plenty of selection on the buffet but the food grade was just not up to par. It seemed that the food ingredients were just not of the highest quality. The price is good at $ 14.99 per adult on the weekend but I can’t see spending $ 60 plus tax and tip for a dinner that just isn’t worth going back to again.

Very pleasant dining experience. Food is tasty, not overly salty, and there is a great assortment of sushi. Food presentation is exceptional(limited quantity of the dish is displayed so the food is not picked over– allows staff to replace the dish when near finished/empty), décor is new and clean, staff is very nice with service better than average. We have been here several times for lunch and dinner. Great value for lunch on Mondays through Thursdays. Last time there for dinner, there was sashimi, but was not replaced at all during our time there. Perhaps you need to ask but we did not bother. Overall, good value.

Yesterday was the third time I visited this buffet in the last 6 months and I can tell you the restaurant has improved over the span of my 3 visits. I was totally unimpressed on my first visit as the dishes were totally the typical generic ones. I was forced to go back for the second time due to a group luncheon and I was surprised partly due to my very low expectation. They even had soy milk to go along with the biscuits and fritters(authentic Chinese breakfast) — and this on a weekday! I got a chance to speak to the owner and he admitted he’s trying very hard to improve the buffet and vowed to frequently change the buffet menu. So yesterday I brought my parents and my family here for a Saturday lunch and we were very satisfied with our experience. The ducks were as meaty as they can possibly be! They even added made-on-the-spot cotton candy!!! Even at 2 pm the entrees were actively replenished. I had been dismissing sushis at buffets because of generally low quality, but here they are at least half way descent. However, there were two aspects on the negative side and hence no 5 stars: 1) The service. There were virtually no service for the first 20 minutes. My father even had to bus the dishes himself! 2) The ambience. The left seating areas might as well be a cafeteria; the right side is a bit better. But if your party is more than 4, than you’d have no choice but be seated on the left side. All in all, I can see myself coming back again next time I’m in the area. Recommended !!!

I loved all the different kinds of sushi, The food was a hit and miss. Somethings was good and other things lack flavor or was too dry. So I’m giving it a 3 bascilly because I ate all the sushi and the lunch price wasn’t to costly.

The food was very fresh. Large variety of seafood items and sushi. They also have steak dishes as well. The service is very good and the hostess is very friendly. The restaurant was also very clean. My family was there during the week for dinner. It was priced just right. We will be back. Thank you!!!

If you are looking for a very high end buffet experience this may not be it. But for good Asian food at a very reasonable price this is it. I have been back twice once for lunch and once for dinner. I felt the place was clean and someone was attending to the buffet all the time. The sushi variety is better at dinner as was the buffet choices but still very acceptable. I really enjoyed the crab in sauce for dinner and the Manila clams in black bean sauce. The hot and sour soup was excellent. The spare ribs for dinner were as good as anywhere else and always being refreshed. Happy to have this choice in my area.

Do not waste your time. This is a newer place that at this point shouldn’t have cold subpar food. The sushi is like eating gas station sushi. The wait staff, stay busy and the place is clean. I will give them kudos for cleanliness and service. I really wanted this to be good. Wanted a new go to place to get buffet food.

Just don’t… Went tonight about 9pm and they had a decent crowd and no food. The food they had out was crusty and all the workers were aggressively cleaned and talking across the place. The one plate we scraped together was blah. Waste is $ 30

Hot food is good, staff is attentive, the only thing really lacking is their sushi selection. They seem to prepare stuff deliberately slow(like sashimi) to control costs and their rolls are not great. But for the price it definitely scratches the buffet itch pretty well

Back again last weekend for dinner with my family. it’s $ 1 more than weekday dinner($ 15.99) for adults. but we got online printable coupon for 15% off so the check amount is even lower . The weekend dinner is much better than weekdays because they server lobster(Claws, not tails) and better fish. And maybe because of weekend, there are much more people than weekdays which is a good thing because the dishes were replenished more frequently to keep everything fresh. The service is so so. I saw some reviewers compare this place unfavorably with other sushi bars priced at $ 30 level. I personally think it’s not fair. I don’t enter Walmart with the expectation of Bloomingdale. Remember, you are paying half the price. Again, Kids love the free cotton candy they made.

Came for dinner tonight because I saw an ad for the place somewhere. Looks very clean. Good was very mediocre and some items were very small. The smallest crab legs, dumplings and crab ra goons I’ve ever saw. Dinner buffet was 14.95 They fail to tell you a soda is an additional 1.95. There is a sign over the cashier but you only see after you have eaten and go to pay. You also have to look for it. Like all buffets food was cold and flavorless. The desert selection is pretty pitiful. The sushi selection is odd and no description of what anything is. There was rolls that I had no idea of what they were. I was hoping this place would be like Tokyo buffet in freehold but no such luck. I would come here again

While I see most of the reviews as mixed my experience was pretty good overall. The people were nice and the staff was attentive to our table. We ate at dinner time and the trays were being replenished regularly with new food. While it wasn’t jammed packed it was busy and the staff kept up still. The food was O-K however nothing stood out or was a must have. There were a few items that I haven’t seen around at other similar buffets as well. All in all it was an alright experience but I would not go out of the way to get here if we weren’t in the neighborhood.

It had a pretty atmosphere and selections some you would get in other buffets but, certain things you probably could only find there. They had my favorite sushi choices and since I mainly came there for that I got my money’s worth :)! Haha, loved it because of the people I was with and the nice atmosphere. Good place to take someone obviously if they like buffets :)! Super clean too because it’s new :)!

Subpar sushi small selection of other foods. Also most of the food could use seasoning.

Went back again with the family. They had the same variety, as mentioned in my previous post. The peeled and cleaned shrimp were smaller this time(told you). However, they had pieces of lobster claws on the buffet. Unfortunately, they were drenched in a dark sauce and it was hard to find the meat in them. When I say pieces, I am implying that it was a struggle. What I couldn’t stand this time around was the wait staff and sushi guys BS-ing with each other as they walked around the dining room. I told my wife that it was one of those«hey guys, you have to see this weird customer in section XYZ», when all servers would huddle and giggle, then slowly return to their posts. The servers have a social scene amongst themselves. The girl at the cashier(who I assume was in charge) was oblivious to everything. The servers horse-around too much. One waitress kept coming over to my son and was trying to get his attention. She touched him a few times. She was clearing plates from tables tonight. Plates are usually dirty. Figure out the rest of the story… By the way, the carving station is laughable. LOL. Food=OK Service=Felt we were served by a group of uncontrollable 16 year olds Ambiance=they finally have background music If you just want to have a robotic«tackle me at the door, seat me, glutton my evening, pay & leave» experience, you have found a new home at HAO.

Because of the extremely mixed reviews, I walked in without any expectations and was pleasantly surprised by this place. The food selection was pretty good. They had a huge variety of seafood, some chicken and beef dishes, some dim sum and sushi. I had seaweed salad, which I’ve never seen in a buffet; little clams, which were very tasty; dim sum, which was nice and hot; mussels, very good; and sauteed calamari, which could’ve used a bit more seasoning but still not bad. The sushi bar really impressed me. There were a good variety of cooked and raw rolls. Different types of sashimi, which was very fresh and a few options of sushi. I just wish there was a few more sushi options(I’m assuming there isn’t much demand for it). The reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is for a few things. There was no music playing so that made it more of a school cafeteria feel instead of a restaurant feel. The waitresses did a great job of clearing plates, however, when they weren’t clearing plates, they were just standing around in a huddle, staring at customers eating or getting food. The sushi chefs were doing the same. Instead of turning around and pretending that they’re busy or going to the back, they just stood there watching people get food. Very awkward. I understand that there could be downtime, fine, but don’t just stand there in the main dining room watching customers. Overall, the décor was nice and the food was pretty good. I would be back. They had a nice variety.

Had the lunch buffet here. Typical offering of a Chinese buffet; service was friendly and attentive. Sushi was quite awful. Other hot dishes are below average in quality. No intention of coming back.

Maybe their dinner is better but hardly anything was edible! Everything tasted off and the texture was weird. The only thing I actually ate was bbq chicken which not what I wanted at a Chinese buffet. Disappointed.
