This has to be the worst Cracker Barrel I have ever been to. Waiter brings my Coke out with a lemon in it, asked for a new one, never got it. Never got my food, my whole family is sitting there eating and I never got my food. The only thing they did bring out was the wrong veggies

Well they were a BIG disappointment I called in a order at 2pm for 2 thanksgiving dinners & was told that they would be ready at 230 well it being thanksgiving I gave them an extra 15 minutes. Get there at a quarter till three and they have no record of my order even though I showed them my phone to show them my call. So had to place another order & was told they would expedite it. So an hour later & several attempts later to get my order. I was not only ignored but given attitude & still came up empty handed cuz they ran out of what I wanted. I will not be going back to Cracker Barrel! They get one one star for taking crappy, rude service to a whole new level!

I’m a firm believer in giving a restaurant a couple of tries before calling it a loss. We’ve eaten here several times and it’s usually hit and miss: sometimes food is slow, sometimes service is slow, but typically the food is always good. Until tonight. Sat at 5:20pm, got drinks and biscuits quickly while we waited for rest of party, 5:40pm ordered food, 6:20pm food arrived. Plates were hot. Orders were incorrect: only one order of Sweet Potato Casserole though 4 guests asked for it. No gravy on any mashed potatoes. No dressing on one order. Dressing on an order that didn’t request it. More importantly, EVERYTHING was cold. The plates were super hot, but the food was so cold. Mashed potatoes were cold, hard, and dark brown/green on top from being under a warmer too long. Kids’ food was cold. One meal was comp’d. Waitress was polite but frazzled. It seemed as the whole restaurant had servers running everywhere like they were incredibly busy, but yet the restaurant was only half full. So no more Cracker Barrel for us, I prefer warm comfort food instead of 3 day leftover comfort food.

Meatloaf was the best I’ve ever had when it comes to restaurants. Breakfast according to my friend was delicious highly recommends you also get Apple butter for biscuits.

I love this place I always but the apple butter and I always order the meatloaf, but this last time there’s this asshole greeter some old racist man that kept looking at my family ugly, he really ruined all of our lunch by being super rude. All I know is that I really have to complain about him…

Can’t even get in. I approached the host station and asked how long of a wait for one and he said, «she’s taking names at the front» I said«she who, there wasn’t anyone at the door when I came in» The host said«at the podium» I said«there wasn’t anyone at a podium when I came in… just nevermind» On my way out the young lady had magically returned. If they’re so busy they need a sign up sheet for customers to wait 30 minutes for breakfast then they should keep the position staffed. This isn’t a mud hut in a third world country, it’s a cracker barrel.

I enjoy Cracker Barrel food anyday! Especially their breakfast food during non-breakfast-y times of the day. The staff is very friendly & helpful, & the service is usually efficient. There are also plenty of good vegetarian-friendly choices. Sometimes they get pretty busy & crowded, & even a little noisy. But they have some cute & interesting gift items on the gift shop portion, so you can browse while waiting for a table. It’s also nice to «test drive» the rocking chairs out on the porch. I’ve bought one of their rockers before, & it’s great. Sometimes we also enjoy playing that peg game at the table while waiting for our food. Not that I can get very far on that game, Lol, but we have some occasional fun with it. I’ve also enjoyed reading when eating there alone. I also like the atmosphere & antique-y décor. It was definitely a cause for celebration when Midland opened a Cracker Barrel!

Went here about a week ago I came to this one location a total of three times(this being the third) on this visit it had they feelings like it was going to be a hard meal to complete. When we walk in cashier greets us always nice then we reach the hostess she is looking down and tapping her screen saying«oh my gosh«10 secs pass she notices us standing there ask how many we say two she says fellow us and as we are going to our table she turns off into the kitchen and disappears for about 20 – 40 secs which at this time we are kinda just standing in the middle of the restaurant looking around and being patient we finally get seated wait another 5 mins before the waitress decides to attempt to do her job ask if we would like drinks and if we knew what we wanted told her we cannot know what we ordered intill we have a proper menu as the hostess gave us both breakfast menus at 4:30 pm with no lunch menus so after we get our drinks look over menus another 16 mins pass before waitress comes back to check on us. We ordered our food ate and was even more disappointed in the food as Cracker Barrel always has the same tasting food all over the county but I guess not this time the muffins were flat yes flat and the cornbread was cold and dry with no taste what’s so ever. And had to keep asking waitress for jam each time she forgot. I think the worse thing about this experience is they weren’t even busy at the time I tried ordering my food and drinks there was not more then 10 people in there at that time during my dinner. Last time I go to the midland Texas Cracker Barrel.

Excellent service. Nice quiet atmosphere. We were here at a Sunday evening. The food came quickly and the sodas tasted good. Most restaurants use city water which has an unpleasant aftertaste. Our waitress was nice, quick and attentive. The plates were filling and great for the price. Dessert topped the day off nicely.

I’ve been here twice and both times, left disappointed. Food is luke warm at best and the service is sloppy and your made to feel like an annoyance. If your there ask for Emma she wasn’t even our server and took care of us the whole time… And was the only one.

The food was the only thing good about this visit. We waited almost 10 minutes for our waiter to come & take our drink order. We also asked for some corn bread, which he said wouldn’t be available for 20 minutes… that would have been fine, however other tables were getting corn bread. We will be back, hopefully we won’t get the same service.

Ordered some scrambled eggs, which were raw, some honey ham, which was regular ham, and the casserole– that was good. Waited 10 min plus to get refills, the waitress wasn’t bad, she was really slow and spoke very softly. Really hard to hear her. Eggs came back 15 min later after we ordered our food– not very good at all.

Ordered the lighter fair. After 15 minutes, I’m told it’ll be another 30 minutes. Skipped it and got what they wanted me to have. Last time here.

Don’t even bother the place is almost empty and you have to wait an hour and a half for a table. This is the worst one we have ever eaten at and we cross the country all The time. One the two years it’s been open they still haven’t found wait staff. Of course there isn’t any indoor seating while you wait it’s windy cold and raining they expect you to sit outside with the smokers.

Two words: RAW meatloaf. Then, they run out of meatloaf. I ordered corn bread. They ran out of corn bread. Forgot my tea. Brought me sweet tea. I ordered unsweetened tea. Horrible experience.

Short handed, the manager was bussing tables. Staff is very friendly. Our meal arrived in a timely manner. My daughters mashed potatoes were a bit dry, possibly too old. All the rest was good. My wife and I had the pecan catfish, sweet potato and veggies. My daughters had the chicken medallions, Mac n cheese and mashed taters.

I realize I may have some defending to do giving this place the 5 stars, so let me start. First off, the previous complaints of service issues must have been heard because I visited twice before writing their review and both times I loved my waitress. Both times I was seated quickly although Sunday morning there was a line of waiting people when I left. The first time I had the meat loaf. I enjoyed that it was obviously home made, and had onions and bell peppers in it. It was cooked well, juicy and flavorful. The breakfast I ordered was done well too. I loved the sourdough bread because you could taste the mild sourness and the bread was very soft. The sausage(linguisa) that was in my hash was wonderful. It had lots of flavor without being real salty like some sausages are. Both times my orders came quickly. Overall, I love being seated quickly, paid attention to and served promptly. I also like the taste and quality of what I am being served and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Truthfully, based on my two experiences, I wouldn’t change anything. That’s why I can’t give less than the 5 stars. Best wishes to you for a similar experience. I will certainly update this if anything changes in the future.

Everyone who works here seemed like they’d rather be somewhere else. All the waitresses seemed morose and I didn’t see any of them smiling; I think our waitress tried to smile once but it was really forced and awkward. Then as I looked around I realized that none of the customers looked happy either; most were on their phones or looking around, and I didn’t see much interaction between dining companions; so perhaps this is just how it is in Midland. We asked for biscuits after being seated, when we ordered our drinks. When we ordered food, I again asked if we could have some biscuits. When the waitress brought out our main meals, we still hadn’t received biscuits, so I asked her if biscuits come with the meal and she just looked at me and said, «Yes ma’am, they do,» and walked away; several minutes later, after we started eating, she finally brought us our biscuits. I ordered the baked fried chicken. The waitress came back to tell me they were out and just looked at me expectantly without offering any suggestions; after a minute I asked for a menu so I could choose something else, since I don’t have the menu memorized. I then ordered the regular fried chicken, which is pretty much the same thing as the baked fried chicken, and this was somehow available. The chicken was dry and lukewarm. The pork chop was dry, tough, and very thin. The cheese grits were just lacking something but I can’t put my finger on it. The biscuits were good as expected. Definitely a below sub-par experience.

Slowest Crackle Barrel I have ever been too. Read reviews and went anyways despite the previous bad reviews. Well they all lived up to expectations. Place is completely miss managed. They had 4 employees just walking around the front talking to one another while three sets of customers waited on a staff member to help them. No hostess was around. I asked if one was free and then reluctantly walked over to help the customers that were waiting. Ordered the food and our waiter Alex was helpful and told us they had only ONE cool working. Something is wrong with that picture. Management? Why yes once again. Great food, slow service, worse management. Two stars!
