This place is super convenient and very good. The Cubans westie is delicious. I try and come by for lunch as much as possible.

The sign was flipped to CLOSED during normal business hours(probably because of wind) but once we went in, we had to ring the bell for someone to come out front. The cashier wasn’t friendly and it seemed like she didn’t want to take our order. She then explained someone else was suppose to be out front to take orders. It took a long time to get our food. About 15 min for something that looked pre made. My boyfriend’s coffee was scolding hot throughout the whole stay. My panini was the southwest and it was bland. Threw some hot sauce on it and it was better. Considering I’m new to midland, I’d rule it out as a go back because there’s so many other places to try.

Food took a while. Was sold out of all the cold sandwich, which I wanted to try. Coffee was good, but way to hot. Most of the time there it seemed as if no one worked there. Rang bell for service as the worker acted surprised. Not sure if it was not their day, but would not go back again.

This place has potential but needs to iron out a few kinks. First of all, I couldn’t get a straight answer from the cashier about what came with certain menu items(does it come with chips or not?), and the menu listed on the wall was inconsistent with the printed menu. I ordered a goat cheese salad that was supposed to feature a seasonal vegetable but after I paid, she said my choices were strawberry or blueberry. The salad was premade and not assembled well — huge glob of goat cheese in one corner, and the candied pecans were a big chunk of sugar(such that you’d get huge bites of just sugar). Plus I think the cooler was too cold cuz the dressing was congealed and the strawberries were mushy(and the tops weren’t removed from the strawberries. Which was especially bad because the tops were all dried out.) The spinach seemed fresh though. And the dressing was yummy once it thawed. I also ordered the Cubano sandwich and found it really underwhelming. The fresh orange juice was delicious though! I plan to go back again and hope for a better experience!

Yes, Yes, Yes! This tiny little café is amazing! The soups are home made & delishous! The food is always great! The place is a so refreshing & different compared to all the other hole in the wall restaurants in Midland.

Top notch fresh food and good coffee right near the workplace. I really couldn’t ask for more as far as Midland is concerned. Taste @ 508 has hot breakfasts and a great array of cold and hot sandwiches for lunch. I particularly enjoyed the Havana, a grilled cheese with ham and pickles, and the cold smoked salmon sandwich with cream cheese. Great quality ingredients. The coffee drinks are solid too! For those like me who need things a bit stronger, a double shot of espresso over ice is just the ticket here. They also have festive flavors(e.g., butterscotch latte, etc.) for those with a sweet tooth. Inside is bright, modern and sleek, with a decent amount of seating. Service is friendly. Things can get a little busy and backed up around lunchtime, so for rush hour, I highly recommend the pre-packaged stuff.

They catered a business lunch for us today and it went really well! The chicken salad was a hit and everyone enjoyed. They were easy to work with, flexible with our last minute increase and was on time.

I love this place! It’s a hidden Gem in Midland! Their food is awesome and their latte is the best in town. The girls who work there are always friendly and helpful. The soup of the day is my fav, always changing but consistently good!

I love this place! It’s a modern rustic vibe, which is totally in right now. The food is amazing, my favorite is the egg, cheese and ham croissant. All the employees I’ve ordered with have been very friendly and helpful, which is hard to find in midland. I would recommend every time!

A really neat place if you work in downtown Midland and do not have to worry about finding a place to park. Other than the parking, the place is pretty neat! The coffee they serve is made really well and way better than Starbucks! The only sandwich I tried was the Cuban and it was okay.

Stopped in for lunch and got the grilled cheese panini with avocado and tomatoes. Panini was delicious and melty. Avocado and tomatoes were sliced fresh on the spot. Had a bag of veggie chips and their fresh squeezed orange juice which was lovely. Finished the meal off with a Latte that was light and spot on. Maybe coming through Midland has its perks, ha.

Four Midland Stars. Excellent salads, ok sandwiches, inventive drinks. Pricing on par with the rest of town. Probably will be back during fair weather, but not if it is too hot or too cold out because there is very limited indoor seating.

I got the Healthy start panini and it was ok. Their pastries are normal. The cashier was unfriendly.

This place is unique and the food is great. The Mediterranean Chicken salad is amazing. Each salad comes with a certain dressing, and I think they only have two or three signature dressings. There is no Italian, Ranch, Thousand Island, etc. The Cheese Panini is probably the best cheese sandwich I’ve ever had. Add avocado for extra bliss. The Boars Head roast beef is really good, too. I’m determined to eat the entire menu since it’s reasonably priced. The service is okay. They could stand to be a little friendlier, but hey– this is Midland.

Killer coffee, fresh and healthy food, a light and modern atmosphere and free wifi. Midland, TX… Who would have thought. …and just 4 blocks away from the Double Tree hotel. Just perfect!

I come here when I do not feel like driving out in to the lunch rush hour. I grab a quick pre-made salad, in and out. The service is friendly. Their salads are $ 8 I think a little pricey, but they use Fresh Ingredients and you cannot get salads like these around town. They also give you free vegetable chips with your salad, which I thought was nice.

Cutest Little Bistro in Town! A friend and I tried Taste @ 508 for lunch today and it was delicious! I had the Special($ 8.00); which changes daily, but today’s was roast beef, cheddar, tomato and pesto panini with a side cup of chicken enchilada soup. This sandwich was the best I have had in town. The soup was good, not much chicken, but it tasted homemade so I would get it again. It doesn’t have an extensive menu like larger restaurants, but it isn’t that kind of place. It is just the right amount of selections; salads, soups, sandwiches and a few pastry choices. It is in the lobby of the Frost Tower, a lot of natural light, clean and modern with a coffee shop setting. In a town, where eating out at lunch is such an ordeal(waiting 20 minutes for meals), this shop is perfect. We ordered right at noon(about 8 other customers) and had our food within minutes. Definitely will return!

As one of the highest rated restaurants in Midland, I had to check it out while I was in town. Thursday was the only day we could go, so we went for a late(1:30) lunch. There was no available public parking, so we walked a bit to get there. Although I wish I could have a more comprehensive review, they were out of ALL salads and ALL soups. My daughter and I each got an $ 8 sandwich, which was good but not $ 8 good. One was supposed to be a combo with soup, but they had to substitute chips.

First time trying this place, and I was highly impressed. Very modern, with communal seating in most of the café like a large sofa and a picnic style table and bench which gives you an opportunity to sit with a large group or meet new people. I had a ham and guacamole panini with pepper jack cheese which was the special for the day. It was delicious, as was the fresh brewed tea. We went right at noon, ordered and got our lunch within 5 – 6 minutes, so it’s perfect if you’re in a rush. The staff was really nice and friendly. Of course, probably the only place in Midland you can find Lavazza coffee so we had to have a cup before we left. This will definitely be a new go-to spot for lunch. Highly recommend if you’re in a hurry and looking for healthy and organic meal options that won’t break the bank.
