The service was beyond fantastic. I love the won ton chips and sweet and sour sauce they serve you first. My kids loved it and were extremely quiet throughout the whole evening. We ordered our usual favorites like orange chicken and broccoli beef and they were both tasty! Pot stickers weren’t the best I’ve ever had but they were good. I would definitely recommend.

On a return visit to Red Corner China Diner after being away for two years, we were wowed by the food and the service. It was even better than we remembered. Our party of four shared the Spicy Cumin Lamb, the Kung Pao Beef, the Honey Sesame Chicken, and an order of Pot Stickers. All dishes did not disappoint! Our waitress, Annie, was attentive and pleasant and our food was presented with care. The RCCD is a must for excellent Chinese food in Salt Lake!

This was a nice place to eat Chinese food in Utah. While the egg drop soup was a little watery the service was excellent. My traditional pre marathon entrée of chicken fried rice was executed reasonably well. Douse in soy sauce and you’ve got great carbo loading. Price is right, and the location is very close to the finish of the Big Cottonwood Marathon. If we run this race again. We’ll be back.

My husband and I love this restaurant! We order it at least every other week to try new items and still love everything we order.

Dinner for 1 = Entrée, Side and Soup Wonton Soup: B– Add $ 1. Needed salt and some kind of pepper, preferably white or black. Wontons were beyond soggy and separated from the meatballs before I could start eating. The soup, however, featured a cornucopia of veg that made me think, «So, this is how they make wonton soup in the Szechwan province???» Pork and Eggplant in Garlic Sauce: A Not on menu. Substituted tofu out for minced pork = add $ 1, and $ 1 for«not on menu» fee. In the end, it was worth the upgrade. Delicious. Fried Rice: A– Tasty. Sooooo, yeah. Such a bitter sweet experience. Mostly sweet. Only thing left for me to do is to lobby Red Corner to put a pork and eggplant in garlic sauce dish on the menu!

The funny thing about the name of this place is that the Chinese and English had nothing to do with each other. The Chinese name actually translates to «Pleasant Goat», which is a name of a popular animated TV series in China. Not sure if their copyright applies in the US. The dining area was setup like a to-go store with a single room dining area. They have a Chinese menu and a white people menu here too… secret Chinese menu seems to be the new trend in town. We started with some kabobs, traditional northern China snacks. The chicken was a bit unorthodox with veggies between the meats, which felt a bit Americanized, while the lamb was just meat with spices seasoned on top with a nice authentic touch. For main course, we got some Spicy Boiled Fish & Beef, Twice Cooked Pork, and Ground Pork Vermicelli. They fish and beef were actually decent, they used a thick broth but not the Szechuan pepper corn, which created a different sensational spicy flavor than most restaurants in town. Reaction may vary by each individual. The pork and vermicelli dishes were decent. Despite appearing like an all Americanized Chinese place, Red Corner had some hidden and decent authentic Chinese dishes to offer, especially when you got tired of the other authentic Chinese place a few blocks down the street. I only wish they open a bit later to carter our late night Chinese food needs.

Midvale Utah — I’ve been here a few times with family because it’s super close. It’s reasonably priced and yummy enough. We’ve had a variety from spicy tofu on the non-American menu, black bean chicken(very yummy), spicy beef(tasty, not really spicy), walnut shrimp and more. It was all yummy enough for a quick meal but I personally would probably never pick this place unless I was REALLY craving some Chinese food and totally unwilling to make the drive. Usually if I’m in the area and wanting to eat out I’d pick some place else and if I really want Chinese food my first pick is Little World.

This place was great! I couldn’t believe that anyone would rate it below 4 stars. We got the family meal for 2 with hot and sour soup and egg flower soup. They were both great! For our entrees we got beef and broccoli, which had a great flavor and the meat was perfectly cut and cooked. The second entrée was general taos chicken and the breeding was perfect on it, nice and crispy and not too much on it. The service here was awesome too, I don’t know what that other review was talking about, both servers spoke English and we’re really nice. We will definitely be coming back when we are around Midvale.

Food on their Chinese menu is excellent. High-end, gourmet Chinese cooked the right way(I lived in China for years, my wife is Chinese… this is our go-to place). 5 stars all the way. Look at the few negative reviews — they sound like people looking for fast, sugar-filled«Chinese take out.» They probably ordered«sweet and sour chicken» and other elegant cuisine(sarcasm!). I take their negative reviews as positive ones, considering the source.

We’ve had Red Corner China Diner several times. For Chinese delivery it’s delicious! We are from Seattle and were spoiled by delicious options all around. It’s nice to find a place we can call for our occasional Chinese fix. Last night we ordered the family meal and all of it was great. For four adults it was a great amount. We all have seconds and the cost was pretty fair at about $ 12 a person after delivery and adding house fried rice(a must!).

Sadly this place failed, we walked in and placed our order. We got the family meal for two and added egg roles, I dislike celcery so asked for mine without. No one spoke English well but I didn’t dout they could provide what they offer. We waited about 25 min, took our food that was in stapled bags home. We ended up with no egg roles, as well as celery in my food. In the end I wouldn’t recommend this place if your taking out or wanting anything special or excluded from your orders. As well the food didn’t taste any better than any other run of the mill Chinese food you find, so the hunt cuntinues for good chinnese food in Utah.

Having spent 2 years in taiwan and missing the food this place really hit the spot, definitely better than the ratings make it look. Get the pot stickers, curry chicken and Sichuan fish stew. Great for friends and.family. enjoy yourself and the wonderful chinese popular music. If you are driving through make a stop. 真的好吃到嚇死人。

I came here today for a work meeting. The service was great. Our waitress was so friendly and super attentive. The restaurant seemed really clean and had a nice ambiance. We ordered the shrimp appetizer and some pot stickers. Both were good. I got the lunch special which was a soup, entrée, fried or steamed rice and a cheese filled wonton for $ 5.99. GREAT deal and a good amount of food. I had the hot and sour soup and general Taos chicken. Both were great! I subbed my fried rice for lo mein for $ 1 and that was delicious as well. Great little spot, I’ll be back.

$ 5.99 Lunch Specials include one Cream Cheese Wonton, Egg Drop or Hot & Sour Soup, Fried or Steamed White rice, and a nice variety of entrée choices. My Hot & Sour Soup was great, and the Egg Drop Soup was unique – very eggy with corn and tofu. Best orange chicken ever – citrusy, spicy, and crispy! We also enjoyed the Thai Cashew Chicken Breast, but I hope to remember it comes with lots of red and green bell peppers if I order it again, and ask for celery and more onions instead. Nice ambiance, with some walls painted Red and others Mango. Ladies Room is nice & clean. I’ll be back because I forgot my Bookmark indicated their shrimp has gotten good reviews. I sure wish I could read my bookmark notes on my iPhone Unilocal app!

Let me start by saying I’ve never dined in. They are my local Chinese food joint that will deliver. My guess is the done in experience would garner a higher star rating from me. The food delivered is ok. Just ok. It is standard local Chinese fare. Everything I have ordered has just been ok. I feel there is a general communication gap when I’ve called in an order. The menu has numbers next to each item, but the people I have ordered from do not know the corresponding item numbers. When calling know the name of the dish you desire. Be ready also for a delivery fee and at least a 60 minute wait. The gist of the review: basic food, reasonable price, nice to have a place local that delivers. Favorite item: walnut chicken. Least favorite item: spring roll.

Ok let me start off by saying TONIGHT was a crazy night to have a hankering for Chinese food. I went through 5 delivery options on Unilocal unsuccessfully… So I called this location and found out I was right outside their 3-mile delivery radius, but they would still deliver for an additional $ 3. I decided to dawn my galoshes and trek to the restaurant. There were 2 tables seated and I was the only one at the counter. The young man behind the counter was taking a phone order, but told me he would be with me in a minute. About 3 minutes later… sorry you know when you are hungry time doesn’t fly… he started my order. About 4 questions in he informed me they were out of chicken so everything on the menu with that as an ingredient wasn’t available. Ok… So I made my order of Rangoon, sesame balls, egg drop soup and beef chow fun. I was told they were busy and it would be 15 – 20 minutes. Considering how this experience/review is going… I will take it. I come back into the restaurant 25 minutes later. My food wasn’t ready. The young man was running around like crazy. After 10 minutes he acknowledged me while bringing out several to-go bags for a couple that came in after me. He told me it would only be a few more minutes. 10 minutes later… a total of 45 minutes after my order was placed… I was out the door. Enough about the service as I think my point of poor service is made, onto the food. The soup was bland. Wouldn’t recommend it. The Rangoon had a little kick and were good. The sesame balls were soft with a good flavor. The beef chow fun that the won best of state 2012 on… Was bland and the noodles not cooked enough. So maybe the universe was off for ALLOFSLC tonight with Chinese cuisine. This experience though was not one to highlight. If I get back to this area, I might give them another try, but for now I don’t recommend them.
