My new go to for street tacos! $ 1.25 per taco and so worth the extra quarter. Big portions, fresh meat and condiments. Love love love it!!!

Excellent tacos! I don’t really like to eat from taco trucks/food stands because of hygienic trust issues but this stand has excellent carne asada tacos(it was worth the risk and I didn’t get sick!) I also tried the carnitas but it was a little too«porky» tasting if you know what I mean. Service was excellent as well. My husband was the one that went to pick them up but he said the lady was really friendly and it was snowing! Making delicious tacos in the snow for starving people, that’s dedication. They also only take cash!

Favorite Taco Cart, hands down. Favorite Mexican food, hands down. Favorite Any kind of food, hands down. They take cash, but you can also order and pay inside the neighboring store with a card! So stop by, order some amazing, super-affordable eats and tip generously. :)

Yum! The flavors in their meat options(especially chicken) were far better than the three previous taco carts I’ve tried. Their tacos are $ 1.25 so a quarter more expensive than the others, everything else is the same priced. The biggest downfall to their success — their cooler side/taco toppings are disgustingly sad. They don’t look or taste fresh, and they don’t carry the same characteristics of what my preferred taco cart has set for my expectations. However, their salsas are HOT. And four other people with me said the same thing. We loved it but just be careful when you go to squirt it all over your decisions.

The burrito was very good. The young lady making the burrito seemed to have a bit of an attitude. Seemed put out when I asked to refill the salsa. No ‘thank you ‘. Friendlier staff at the stand on 7200 S. State.

Okay… now THIS is the best taco cart EVER! I’ve said it before, and I’ve always meant it. There are 3 or 4 taco carts in S.L. Valley that are head and shoulders above the rest. Add this one to the list. Of all the carts I’ve been to, this one gives you the most meat. If you order a burrito, it comes with approximately ½ lb. of carne asada. It’s ridiculous! I ordered 4 tacos; 2 spicy pork and 2 carne asada. Both were loaded up with meat and were fantastic! The salsa/condiment bar(cooler) is well-stocked with everything you need and it’s all fresh and delicious. The tacos were $ 1/each and were a STEAL for the size and quality. I love this place!

Yep, I have a taco addiction. Desperate addicts do desperate things and buying food from a food cart is either brave or the move of a man desperate for tacos. Whatever the reason I find myself coming here every couple of weeks or so. The al pastor is good but not great. The carne asada however is the best in town. The steak tender in the middle with a little crispy char on the outside. These tacos are a buck each and they ain’t skinny boy tacos, they’re loaded. The salsa cooler is always well stocked and fresh. The only reason i knocked off a star is because when I want tacos I typically want tacos al pastor and they’re just ok here.

Really authentic and delicious Mexican food. I had carnitas and carne asada tacos with a spicy pork torta. Everything was delicious. The cook is really nice and the locals around the cart are nice and inviting. The cart needed a little bit of a once-over, thus the 4 instead of 5 stars.

Some real good tacos and tortas and burritos from what I’ve heard. The lady normally has carne asada, carnitas, and al pastor. I always get tacos and the torta of carne asada with avocado which is the best. Don’t forget the spicy green and red sauce with a lime and your jumex.

Got a spicy pork burrito and 3 tacos and it was all very good, but there wasn’t a visible menu and I had to ask the person cooking what I could get and how much it all was.

The tacos are really delicious! I got a chicken, pork, and spicy pork tacos! The spicy pork was my favorite ! It definitely has a kick to it. She also made the food pretty fast! We didn’t have to wait long at all, and the food was cheap! The only thing is I got a way bad stomach ache after!

The carnitas burritos are the best I’ve ever had. The carne asada tacos are the same as the street tacos in Mexico which means they are delicious. I’ll travel out of my way to hit this taco stand. The sauces are a little too spicy for me but taste good enough to deal with the heat. Highly recommended!

Not everyday you want Mexican food but I just want you to drive by with your windows down and take a whiff of the aroma from this cart. El Cuñado taco stand. Everytime I pass by my stomach instantly makes space. That craving just kicks right in and next thing you know your looking around for change in the car. Best thing about it is they also take debit or credit. How convenient.

Wow… I was not expecting to have such a great burrito in Utah. Seriously, this was better mexican than taco trucks in Orange County. I got the cabeza meat mixed with all the other meat(al completo) since they were low on cabeza. Meat was so tender and very flavorful. You get to put whatever you want and they will wrap it for u. The red and green sauces were delicious too. Watch out for the jalapeños, they will burn your mouth! My hubby said his tacos were really good too, and totally satisfied his authentic taco craving. The only reason this isn’t five stars is because it was a bit more expensive than I am used to paying at taco trucks.

This review is for the cart located on State street. I want to say i’d give this place 3.5 stars rather than 4. Smaller selection of taco meats compared to pariente. I’ve had their al pastor, carne asada, carnitas, and buche. Buche is intestine and it’s not as bad as it sounds, it even comes a little crispy. i heard that extra crispy can be requested. The parking lot needs to be re-asphalted. No where to sit unless you want to sit in your car or on the ground along side Team Gear’s building. Lemons slices were unlimited(despite high prices); at Pariente, it’s given to you. On one Saturday at 2pm and they ran out of grilled onions, very disappointed. :( They only have 2 sauces: red and green avocado. I like their carnitas a lot. It comes fairly lean and crispy

This is my go-to taco cart in he valley! My favorite are the carne asada tacos stuffed to the gills with deliciously seasoned, chopped steak. I mix it up sometimes with one of two pork choices; carnitas or pastor. For gringos, the cook calls the pastor tacos«spicy pork.» I crave these tacos every week so I always make my Tuesday bank run to the nearby Jordan Credit Union into«Taco Tuesday.» They also offer many authentic tacos and tortas that I have not been brave enough to try such as lengua(tongue) or cabeza(head) and others that I can’t remember. They provide lots of tasty fixings including delicious fried and charred fresh jalapeños. This is why I usually swing by McDomald’s to grab a large Coke even though they have a good variety os soda on hand. Either way, I can get my fill of three tacos and a drink for $ 4.00.

Awesome. Huge and cheap burritos with the option of chili guacamole sauce so hot your eyes will close.

I have never had better street vendor tacos than here. I have gone out of my way to recommend and bring people over. I swear it doesn’t matter the day of the week or time of day this stand is always here. Which is great for me since sometimes I’m hungry at random hours. I really enjoy the Carne Asada tacos, they are my favorite. There is this green sauce in the cooler that is almost to die for. Not sure what it is but it’s delicious!

I come to this taco stand on average about once every 2 weeks and it has never disappointed me. I used to only get the tacos but I recently tried their burrito and it was also amazing! Jeffrey S. said they are $ 4 but I have been paying $ 5 for the burrito(I guess they raised the price in the past year) but it is still worth it because the burritos are gigantic. I’ve tried their carne asada, pollo, and their al pastor but I saw someone order buche(intestine) and chicharron(pig skin) the other day and I want to go back and try those! The prices here are more expensive than the taco stand downtown and the salsa is a little too spicy for me but I still come back to this stand because it is much closer to me than the downtown one.

Mexican food cart near Old Town Midvale. Don’t be confused, there’s another one about a block west of here. On a windy day you could probably spit and hit one from the other. But this is the one further east. Last I checked, the fella who owns this actually owns this cart and one up on State Street at 3 Alarm Saloon. The umbrella is «Tacos El Pariente» and the names on the carts can be «El Cuñado» or «El Pariente.» But they all have big white signs with red writing showing the menu and prices. I can’t say that anything really stood out for me on this cart. I’ve eaten here a couple of times and never been disappointed, but it’s just pretty straight forward. Boo for charging $ 4 for burritos and not $ 3 like my faves near Sears in SLC proper. Still, for $ 4 you’re probably doing just fine. Big bonus is that they’re open pretty late. At least until 10pm, sometimes on the weekend I see them there later. And they’re nice enough and will sit and chat if you’ve got a second. No place to sit down, so it’s hover fare for sure. Get a taco fix on the cheap if you’re nearby. Solid Mexican basics produced from this cart.
