Basically disappointing and too pricy for the quality of the food. Good ambience and setting. Now for the details. I have been here a couple of times in maybe the previous 5 years, I really thought the food was good, but to be honest I cannot remember, so I thought we would try this place this week(Friday night) I had a $ 25 voucher from to use up, so what the hell! The place is nice, has a good feel about it and was busy enough to be interesting and not crowded. Straight away without me saying anything, our waiter told us that if we had a voucher then we couldn’t order from the fixed price $ 35.00 menu only al la carte. If anyone of our party of three orders the fixed price then that rule would still apply. Seemed a bit harsh I thought. But hey, what the heck, it was my wife’s birthday after all and I convinced here to come here, so I went with it. The fixed price menu was selected by all three of us, as it seemed a good value, four courses and 3 or 4 selections per course. The crab cake starters I had were very nice, albeit a bit small, and the plate was sparsely populated with a salad garnish. The Lobster raviolis were a bit unique in flavor with butternut squash, a bit smoky in flavor rather than lobster tasting. Our salads were OK, but just OK again nothing too exceptional for a restaurant that thinks its maybe a bit up there. Our main courses of short ribs and grilled branzino were then served. Which before I describe this I must complement the service. Our waiters had a sense of fun, looked after us and were attentive. No problems there. So braised ribs first, the comment from my two guests were they were bland, considering they were cooked in red wine. Not much flavor and really nothing too great was their opinion. The vegetables were OK, asparagus was a bit stringy, but all OK. Both dishes were allowed for a couple substitutions, again all good compliments to the waiting staff there. My «Branzino» was a disappointment also. I thought this dish was a larger whole type fillet, similar to a sea bass, in fact what I got was nothing more that a couple of tilapia fillets I think. Maybe my mistake, but not what I thought(Or researched) what branzino was. There just was not enough flavor in the meal, small pockets from a relish on the side, and orange fennel sauce, vegetables not too flavored, but OK. The fish was over cooked and dry, even for me who normally likes it just on the firm side. It was also accompanied by a pecorino risotto, that was just really milky and mushy. But that maybe the way its meant to be as I have never had it before, at least I think so. The desserts were fine, chocolate cake and a key lime pie with berries, which was very good. Now, all during this I didn’t mention the«Entertainment» In the bar area there was a guy playing some old Italian favorites, while we listened to piped music via the PA. That was good, then the guy and I believe the owner decided to play for us in the restaurant. It was good I suppose if you are in a bar or club, but not in a quality restaurant, white table cloths, etc. In fact it was a bit of joke on our table and we noted many others laughing and sneaking in phone videos to post to their fiends. So conclusion, I would have given this place a 3 star, which in itself is disappointing as I was expecting a 4⁄5 star experience. It just seemed confused. Trying to be an upscale fine dining place with all the right looks and staff, but the food fell short and for the price I think it should have been better. We even made an effort to dress up to meet our expectations, again we need not have bothered. I will go back and get my $ 25 voucher used somehow, but maybe a table in the bar with few plates is a better way to go.

Had the Duck and it was amazing. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, the ambiance, jazz music and piano player were nice, we were treated well and the service was great. We will be back!

Let’s start with the fact that it was restuarant week. I had the beef tenderloin apetizer that was very good and my wife had the arugula salad that was also very good. We both had the king salmon that was both dry and fishy, not good at all. The dessert was mixed berry crisp which was also aweful. Been here before and have not been impressed. Tonight was not good either. Given the pricing of dinners, I would expect a higher quality meal. The bonus for the night was a live Frank Sinatra band and older women pole dancing. Had to be there. Food was fairly good but the waiter was rude and condescending.

Wednesday afternoon, 12:45. We are seated next to the ONLY other group of people in the restaurant… so we moved. No big deal. While waiting 10 minutes for butter for our bread, there were flies bothering us. When our food came, my order was wrong, and my husband’s was cold. He sent his food back and we ended up having to take his food to go. We will not return.

No pictures this time folks. But I will start with the good parts. The ambiance was incredible. We went at about 7:30pm on a Friday night and were seated on the back deck– not the patio– which gave us a beautiful view of the marsh and a pink/purple sunset. We ordered a bottle of wine and our waiter recommended a Pinot Noir that was fantastic. Loved the bread and butter, loved the speed at which it came to our table after being seated. The bread also came with a little cup of Kalamata olives– yum. Now the not so good parts. We had to wait several minutes at the door to be seated while several waitstaff and host persons ignored us. I was quite surprised at how fancy the restaurant was, considering that I made the decision to go here based on their HAPPYHOUR signs outside and promise of a burger, which apparently they don’t serve any sandwiches on Fri/Sat for some reason according to the menu. I ordered a garden salad with beef tenderloin. The salad was really nothing special for that much money and I was pretty disappointed. The beef was cooked correctly(medium) but tasted bland. BF ordered the NY Strip special and asked for it «medium» which to us means there is some red in the middle. It came out completely brown and chewy. It was also quite small for the price. Definitely was not looking to spend $ 33 on a steak cooked incorrectly. The black truffle mashed potatoes were the best part, although for the price, was hoping for more of them. Overall, I will never go here again. Very sad :(

I have gone to Jeffrey’s twice now, and I can’t quite figure how I feel about the place. On the one hand, they have obviously put in a good amount of work to renovate, update their outdoor seating and give their restaurant a face lift with a pretty new color. Yet, on the other side the décor looks sparse and incomplete, their menus are falling apart and overall the restaurant has some what of a dingy feel to it. We were greeted and seated immediately upon entering, and were given plenty of time to relax and enjoy our meal; however, other tables were getting much more attention then we were, I did not feel welcome or very comfortable while there, and it took tremendous amounts of time to get anything, even something as simple as a dessert menu. Finally, I had the most tender braised petite osso bucco with a delicious sauce and lighter than air whipped potatoes, but the potatoes lacked flavor and the vegetables were under seasoned and undercooked. Obviously consistency isn’t their thing, and paying attention to detail is not their strong suit, but they didn’t fail across the board. So, in summary: is this a place you should go for an amazing dining experience? No. Should you avoid this place at all cost? No.

I just came back from Jeffery’s restaurant. I normally don’t write reviews, but when all the people at my table were unsatified with their meals I have to. I had a chicken dish and what can go wrong with chicken. Well so dry it was hard to cut with a steak knife forget about chew. Some of the others had beef and also complained of it being dry. The other complaint was the berry pie. Very small portion and to have cherries in it and not much crumb. Just wasn’t what anyone expected. The place did look nice. Other then that I just want to say I left hungry and for the price the food should not be all over cooked with not much flavor.

I love the food at Jeffrey’s — the ahi tuna is scrumptious. The soups always great. My biggest complaint has nothing to do with food — the past couple of times I went for lunch, the restaurant isn’t cold — it’s freezing! Either they are being frugal or they have an inadequate heating system. So, it’s Jeffrey’s for me only when the outside weather is good enough for inside dining.

We stopped here on our way to Boston after getting a deal on line for dinner. I didn’t know what to expect but when we drove up I felt terribly underdressed. Road trip wear doesn’t really lend to blending in at a tablecloth restaurant overlooking the water with $ 25+ entrees. But we were hungry and went in hoping not to look like a couple sore thumbs. And if we did, no one made us feel that way. We were seated in a lovely spot in the restaurant so we could see the sunset over the water. Our waiter, Mark, was attentive and freindly. He made us feel at home and comfortable. We both ordered a salad topped with salmon. Let’s start with the fact that we eat a lot of salads. So when we say these were the best salads we ever ate, that comes with a very high bar to reach. And they did. The salmon was cooked to perfection, lightly seasoned not overwhelming but allowing the natural flavors of the salmon to take front stage. The salads had a delightful blend of different ingredients to compliment the salmon. It was so phenomenal I am sad I live so far away. If I lived closer we would go there all the time. The prices are higher but well worth it. If you’d like lower cost items there are sandwiches(not available on Friday and Saturday evenings) the quality of the food and skill of the chef makes the extra bit you pay well worth it. And if you still can get it, try the deal for 50% off so you can try it and see how worth paying full price this place is. If you are lucky enough to live nearby– stop in during the warmer months for me and sit on the porch and watch the sunset. Enjoy a nice glass of wine and one of those delightful salads for me, please? Oh, I’m already jealous of you!

If it were possible to give no stars I would. We only went to The bar however that was more than enough to realize that in this restaurant if you aren’t a friend of the owner you aren’t welcome. Prices are north of Manhattan, but drinks are bad and frankly we left after being ignored — at the bar — with only five other people. It wasn’t benign neglect, they actually went out of their way to be rude. Maybe the food is good. I’ll never find out.

This place was so good it almost made my cry. Seriously. For a starter we shared the spinach salad, which they offered to split and they did, into two presentations which were great! The combination of the warm goat cheese and beets topped by thinly sliced pears with spinach that was just right; not soggy. My wife had the pork chops I had the spinach lasagne. The lasagne looked soggy, but once I dug in I realized it was covered with a thin layer of sauce. Tasted great. The pork chops were the best she ever had. The pork chops came with yams that had some sort of kick, I’m guessing poblano peppers but it made it amazing. I really didn’t need dessert, but I figured the food was so good and it sounded too good to pass up. I tried the spiced cookie with ginger ice cream. It was a great combination and I had to force myself to stop eating it or I’d burst! Overall this was a great experience! A bit pricey but you get your money’s worth! Excellent waitstaff and nice atmosphere
